  1. Since my fantasy-race is cat themed I will always support cat-themed things! Sounds like you're really on top of things already! I like that you've including modifiers to more realistically keep things up when you have some obstacles (traveling is so difficult!).
  2. Update: Gym today did a ~18 min cardio on the treadmill, 1 min planking and 40 weighted lunges. Softer day, but need to decide the next goals!
  3. Had a meeting with a professional last week that suggested I do more outdoor/movement based exercise, so Ive been doing walks every day that I am not going to the gym. So far it's been good. I also got this cute app called "Walkr" that gives you rewards for more steps taken based on space exploration. Highly recommend! (same group that made Plant Nanny).
  4. Updated and done! Woo! Time to craft my next challenge.. will post later today or tomorrow.
  5. Making some pork tenderloin in the crock pot right now.. it smells so good o.o I think technically it isn't paleo (it's got soy sauce and cornstarch listed, though I am sure you could make it without!) but it's definitely low carb.
  6. Starting to do early AM gym stuff... not as easy as it seems...haha. Yesterday did some deadlifts for the first time in a long while. Today I went on a nice long walk with my SO and it was great. Also got some pork tenderloin cooking in the crockpot.. for anyone interested recipe is here. It smells so good o.o

  8. 4/26 For next challenge I am tagging and leaving these here: * Elven Posture because computers too long is bad. * Natural Squat instead of sitting 30 day challenge
  9. *peeks in* oh dear... Ive really let this go to poop I'm a first year medical resident in my mid-twenties in WA, studying and seeing patients. I am also a big fan of Elder Scrolls, Star Wars, Game of Thrones/ASoIaF, Animorphs, Outlander, Star Trek (TNG), and various other scifi/fantasy themes. Ping me if you play ESO! I would love to adventure with you. I'm also now into DnD5e and currently play and DM. I've fallen off the bandwagon here at NF a few times, but always worth it to try again and try to be a physician who is doing their best to practice what I preach, in a way! 10. I've got a giant board exam coming up in June, so I feel your pain. Best of luck on your exam! I live in a state where you get charged for not using reusable bags, and I find it's helpful to get one or two that are very small/easily packed away and just keep them in the purse or pocket; plus have some hang around in the back of my car so if I end up at the grocery store they're already right there ^^
  11. Weekly check-in added! Still sore from Saturday's workout. Gym planned for later today.
  12. Anecdotal, but the biggest change I found in my self-perception (appearance-wise) was heavy weight lifting. My weight on the scale became much less important to me than the goals I was meeting at the gym, and I looked and felt the best I have in my life when I was doing 4-5 days/week of heavy-lifting. I don't have time to do it quite that much now, but I definitely think it helped me have a healthier outlook on myself (and it did actually make me look better - I had numerous family members/family friends on holidays express how good I looked/asked if I'd lost weight when I'd gained 5lbs+ of muscle). Hope that the lifting goes well for you Or at least you find something that you enjoy as much as I enjoy lifting! Also no reason you cannot do a little of both (yoga and lifting). Well-rounded is a good thing!
  13. Gym trip #3! Went hard today, feeling nice and sore. Sounds like tomorrow we might go hiking too on my day off so will be in good shape for Monday ^^ I also did buy a mini-cupcake yesterday.. but I won't be too hard on myself for that >.> So far, making a new computer login for "work/study" stuff has been super effective for focusing Highly recommend!
  14. Another trip to the gym today (as well as monday). I have been going with my SO but that means arriving at around 6:00, when everyone else seem to be there. Didn't get to do squats or deadlifts too crowded. Gonna see about either going way early or may just go by myself. Keep chuggin' along!
  15. thank you! I made it through another one yesterday woohoo! Yeah, it has been hard for me, and I actually deactivated facebook o.o scary but probably for the best of my mental health too haha (man politics is getting bad this year); I think the most I could stomach batch-cooking is for 2 weeks ahead; I tend to like a lot of flavor variety and I like a lot of fresh foods (fortunately both my SO and I like cooking so not a big deal). Thank you for the suggestion ALSO. UPDATED with my week one check in!
  16. UPDATE 4/5 Gym yesterday was kinda short and unfortunately at a super busy time of day :| I hate going at 6 pm for that reason. 16 min HIIT warm-up Benchpress 1 min plank Also went out for dinner but given that it was the day I finished a tough exam, it's something I felt well-deserved. so that's 1/3 of my out-meals already gone!
  17. Ehehehe I love that video. When I cosplayed a Khajiit a few years back I was humming it to myself while I pretended to pick-pocket people. Woot! Just trying not to let "but it hasn't started yet..." be an excuse yknow?
  18. Another update: finishing up another gym day, killed myself with some squats after some interval on the treadmill. Woof. Going to buy some food today or tomorrow to prep for next week's meals.
  19. UPDATES: To prepare for the challenge I have downloaded and activated Cold Turkey to maximizing productivity! I also went to the gym yesterday for about an hour, got a solid run in, some bicep curls and dumbbell rows. Gearing up to go!!
  20. Yes I do! It's not a very large one, but I do have one. Thank you so much for the suggestions
  21. Medical student here. Looks like you got it all covered excellently FOR OP: Anecdotally as well - I use Mirena IUD and I love it. In most types of continues hormonal BC you will get a little spotting early on, and in many women that disappears. I'd recommend that if it's easy for you, just let your doctor know what is happening (I can email mine, so if that's an option for you might be a good idea). good luck!
  22. I work in a clinic in Washington state (where we have very little sunlight) and the physicians here prescribe Vit D to most of their patients. You can get it for lowered price sometimes via insurance if you physician prescribes it for you in some cases. I would say pill or liquid is fine most likely, but I think most people use pills out here.
  23. Actually, after a little browsing, if you have batch resources that are easy for you to pull up I'd love to see them ^^; some seem more healthy than others haha
