  1. I don't know. A friend told me it was intense, but I'm still quite a few episodes behind.
  2. What do you guys think about using real-life checks? Like, if I said "Volk vaults a wall," one of y'all would call a dexterity check, and I'd have to do box jumps. Perception checks would be harder, but we could totally do Russian checks, computer skills checks, strength checks, ect. "Anthony Smith?" Volk read. "Do we know him?" She was still new to town, but if they said the guy was bad, she'd help take him down.
  3. Hey! You're doing awesome! And great pictures. You're very pretty.
  4. That cat is a BOSS! Thanks! I'm pretty thrilled about the soy milk, probably because my grocery doesn't carry any almond butter without sugar (*grump grump*) so I totally didn't expect them to carry sugarless soy milk. And IDK, why are you such an awesome accountabilibuddy and rebel? (And if you haven't seen this movie, you need to do that right now.)
  5. Day 18: Success(!) (He's smiling on the inside!) Quest 1: Fighting Weight Paleo Compliance Goals: 60% Compliant Coffee Pizza Coke Coffee 3x Trail Mix Orange Juice Orange Juice Grape Tomatoes Catfish in Coconut Oil Amazing Spiderman 2 Ice Cream!!!!! (In a sugar cone) Soy Milk (no artificial or non-Paleo additives!) Tea Tea Banana Paleo: 11 Non-Paleo: 7 Paleo Percentage: 61% Quest 2: Keeping Up Practice Parkour once a day, alternating body weight workouts and running/Parkour practice. 20 Push-Ups Quest 3: Scars Fade I need to stretch my leg every day to get some of my range of motion back. More frequent, light stretching. Personal Quest: Can you take the Island out of the Girl? Develop an iota of mystique. Journalled a TON of stuff. Probably... four distinct concerns that I originally wanted to talk over with people. I might still have to talk one or two of them out, but it's good to get thoughts on paper before voicing them. My flatmate seems happier and more open now that I'm talking like, at least 33% less. I think the key benefit of this is keeping me present when I'm around people. If I talk to people about my worries all the time, whenever I'm around them I'm still focusing on me and the future instead of our relationship. I'm also REALLY killing the eye contact now. I ruled the supermarket. And walked out with 100% Paleo nomnoms! Weekly Total: 6
  6. Day 17: Single-Point Failure Quest 1: Fighting Weight Paleo Compliance Goals: 60% Compliant Sausage biscuit Iced Coffee 2 Servings Paleo Trail Mix Orange Juice 3 Scrambled Eggs Rooibos Tea 3 Slices Pizza Coke x2 Coffee Paleo: 7 Non-Paleo: 9 Paleo Percentage: 44% Quest 2: Keeping Up Practice Parkour once a day, alternating body weight workouts and running/Parkour practice. 10 Push-Ups (In a row! Personal first!) Quest 3: Scars Fade I need to stretch my leg every day to get some of my range of motion back. Stretched a LOT, used a massage ball. Personal Quest: Can you take the Island out of the Girl? Develop an iota of mystique. Nothing new today, good or bad. Weekly Total: 2
  7. Day 16: Success Quest 1: Fighting Weight Paleo Compliance Goals: 60% Compliant Coffee Apple Almond Butter Carrots Celery Cherry Tomatoes Two Hard-Boiled Eggs Chicken Curry (1 Paleo, 1 non-Paleo) Peas Rice Decaf Coffee w/Creamer Paleo: 8 Non-Paleo: 5 Paleo Percentage: 62% Quest 2: Keeping Up Practice Parkour once a day, alternating body weight workouts and running/Parkour practice. 20 Squats Quest 3: Scars Fade I need to stretch my leg every day to get some of my range of motion back. Some easy stretches. My leg literally aches when it rains. I'm turning into one of those old cowboys... (Hopefully this one!) Personal Quest: Can you take the Island out of the Girl? Develop an iota of mystique. Journalled about things, twice (+2). I think I'm actively practicing the Bucky Technique, but it's been minor things so far. Didn't make anyone uncomfortable today! (PROGRESS!) Also, I'm keeping up with the preparation practice - good posture and eye contact. Weekly Total: 2
  8. I wish I could just give it to you! D: It's like, one way or the other. I have a hard time talking to new people, feeling comfortable in crowds, ect. But once I feel comfortable with you, HERE COMES THE FLOOD! I'm looking forward to working on this. I'm moving in about a month anyways, so the payoff of learning a little restraint with friends is higher than the payoff of trying to make new ones.
  9. Oh, don't worry, I know where to find you guys.
  10. Another update! So... I don't think I'm ready for the second level of the confidence game. Sure, I am from a "meeting new people" confidence level, but I tend to nose-dive quickly. Before I go out of my way to make too many friends, I want to deal with the other side of my social anxiety coin. And here's the full Arrowed-out introduction to the new social quest. Personal Quest: Can you take the Island out of the Girl, 2.0 On the Island, you make close friends and you hang on to them for dear life. The only way to survive is to band together. However, back in Starling, this looks a little different. Still in Island mode, I tend to get into situations like this... Me: *Except make this 9,000 times longer* Friend: This wouldn't be half as much of a problem if I got over the clingy, over-sharing tactics I learned. It's funny because I've known I suck about this for... at least a year. That's HOURS of pointless, painful conversation for my friends. Besides, these talks never make me feel any better because I know what's going on! Anyways, I'm fixing it now. Tactics: 1. Show, don't Tell: I try to show my close friends that I'm changing by explaining. But if I show them by SHOWING them, it will be much more effective. (Example: instead of saying "I put in twenty hours on this project," put in an extra hour to make it look extra nice before showing it to them.) (Challenge: Record instances where I did this) 2. Hiding Scars: Don't show my scars off. I know what I've been through, and if I use the skills I've learned along the way, no one will doubt that I know what I'm doing. (Challenge: Record instances where I reveal my scars) 3. Know Thyself: If I'm talking about something to think it out, I'm probably better off journalling it instead. (Challenge: Journal it!) 4. The Bucky Tactic: Why is Bucky so mysterious in Winter Soldier? He probably has five lines the whole movie. Speaking less evokes an aura of mystique, and should keep me from embarrassing myself too much. (Challenge: Mentally revise an answer before you make it. If you don't have time to revise, keep it to one sentence) Scoring: +1 point for each instance of 1, 3, or 4. -1 point for each instance of 2. An "A" is 10 points per week. And yes, I know this post is over-sharing.
  11. Day 15: Success (Lite) Quest 1: Fighting Weight Paleo Compliance Goals: 60% Compliant Coffee 2 Mounds Snack-size 5x MAC N CHEESE!!!!! 2 servings broccoli (aka BROCCONOMZ) and cauliflower Cake Coffee Sugary Coffee 1 cup Blackberries 4x Paleo Chipotle Also, let me relay my Chipotle experience <3 Guy: Brown or White Rice? Me: Neither. Guy: What? Me: NO. Guy: Black or Pinto? Me: *Shakes head* Guy: *puts on his best you've-got-to-be-joking face* What DO you want? Me: ... Double carnitas? Paleo: 7 Non-Paleo: 9 Paleo Percentage: 44% Quest 2: Keeping Up Practice Parkour once a day, alternating body weight workouts and running/Parkour practice. 10 Push Ups Quest 3: Scars Fade I need to stretch my leg every day to get some of my range of motion back. Light piriformis stretch Personal Quest: Can you take the Island out of the Girl? Preparation. Practice at least two skills a day, or do something new. Presentation, again. Didn't talk too fast. Made good eye contact, kept good posture. TOTALLY forgot that today was switching over to the next round for Paleo and confidence, so I'm just going to "level up" tomorrow. This week's stressful enough without punishing myself for forgetting.
  12. You're doing awesome!!! Боже мой! Ты не шутишь! (There's probably twelve kinds of wrong conjugations in my five-word statement... but it's the thought that counts? :b )
  13. Day 14: Success Quest 1: Fighting Weight Paleo Compliance Goals: 40% Compliant McDonald's Breakfast Platter ("Eggs," bacon, biscuit, hashbrowns) Coffee x2 Banana Sheetz Grilled Chicken Salad, no dressing, with double meat, olives, red onions, green peppers, salt, pepper, and hard-boiled egg Four handfuls trail mix 3 Bottles of 1/3 Orange Juice, 2/3 Water 2 Burgers (2 servings paleo, 2 servings non-paleo each) Beer Paleo: 14 Non-Paleo: 11 Paleo Percentage: 56% Quest 2: Keeping Up Practice Parkour once a day, alternating body weight workouts and running/Parkour practice. Play! We stopped at a heritage site for the military, and ran all over the place! Quest 3: Scars Fade I need to stretch my leg every day to get some of my range of motion back. I think I did some hip stretches at night, I don't really remember? I'll say yes, and do extra stretches tomorrow anyways. Personal Quest: Can you take the Island out of the Girl? Preparation. Practice at least two skills a day, or do something new. I asked a cute guy to play a game with me. The game is kind of like bowling, but you use dowels to knock down blocks of wood. He said no, but I put myself out there. Also I think I kept eye contact and posture pretty well.
  14. Is THAT where they come from? Aha! It looks like it's mostly self-taught clubs in my area. So far I'm stuck on rolling - I'm swayback, so I have a beautiful (if slightly uncontrolled) roll until the bottom of the thoracic spine. Then my butt hits the ground like a sledge-hammer, because I can't round my lumbar spine yet. Also, check out our acountabilibuddy Team Arrow! We're starting up a text RP, and we post stats every week. We also have aliases (I'm Volk, which is actually "Wolf" in Russian, but I think we could avoid confusion. ;b ). I've been slightly neglecting the board - it's the end of the semester in Pathfinder world - but I'm hoping it'll pick back up soon. Ooooh! Now if I could just find a bean substitute, I could have Paleo burrito bowls! Yes. I still have open wounds from that particular situation. XD And thanks! It is! It takes an hour but it's SOOOOO worth it. (Also, I think it's your turn on the RP over at Team Arrow! I can't see what Raveи has to say )
  15. I made this today! Roasted Broccoli is officially Paleo Croutons, and Roasted Cauliflower is officially Paleo Potatoes. SO YUMMY!
  16. Google translate believes you. ;b Your backstory is up in the intro.
  17. Full disclosure: I was like "CONFLICT!" and headed off in some random direction. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED! Volk nodded. She pulled a small book from the pocket of her hoodie. "I found this," she said. "It's a book, full of names. Some of them were people the Arrow took down. What do you think this means?"
  18. Conference! We presented a paper for school.
