  1. Looks like a great start to me! No harm wanting to lean out a bit. I'm sure you'll get there with all your hard work. Sent from my arse pocket!
  2. Looking forward to seeing what you get up for your specific goals and I'll be happy to help keep you accountable Sent from my arse pocket!
  3. Howdy all thought I should stop in for a hello now at the start of the challenge Sent from my arse pocket!
  4. Very true but easing it off is the way to go. I used decaff to help with the just wanting a coffee to drink myself Sent from my arse pocket!
  5. Great goals dude nice and lofty. Don't worry though I'm sure those abs will show themselves eventually Sent from my arse pocket!
  6. Ah coffee both the saviour and the destroyer of the day! Mind the withdrawals by the way if you drank a lot of caffeine before it's hell Sent from my arse pocket!
  7. Well that food doesn't look too bad to me. Hope the day goes well for you and the sinuses clear up quick Sent from my arse pocket!
  8. So here we are, day one down and naturally the first day is pretty ok. On the new rig now with wifi so hello tapatalk! Now then I keep missing out on this bit but the reason for me doing all this is pretty simply for me. I want to look and feel better and be a bit happier in my own skin is all. Sent from my arse pocket!
  9. Hey man good to see you. I can manage the 5 days a week alright with usually a wednesday and Sunday as my rest and if I feel I particularly need it I'll take an easy day but it'll still be a workout I'm also currently reading Born to run by Kelly Starrett so hopefully it'll help keep me in top working order. When I try I eat pretty good I just have to stay on top of it and stop making the excuses to avoid it. For the yoga I'm looking at Bikram(I think that's the spelling) or hot yoga this time and see how I like it. It's actually a big underlying part of my doing the challenges is it's some kind of getting out there and my problem usually is only a bit of shyness with a whole heap of lazyness so I'll be doing my best.
  10. You didn't see me. http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/56129-chris56ryan-undead/
  11. Hey man great challenge! Pity you lost so many people for motivation but you're sticking to it and it's going to be great!
  12. I like the saturday night goal although my caveat would probably have to just limit the amount of alcohol consumed say 6 pints? Thats reasonable right? I think I need to look at things I want and start a little reward system in future myself. Best of luck!
  13. Great to see you back for more again. Hopefully you'll hit your goals and then some.
  14. Main thing about my current adventures is the unfortunate lack of wifi I could be getting lucky and moving to a different rig tuesday that has it so fingers crossed.
  15. Eyes open, a slow wheeze comes out, slowly a dim conciousness returns .... So I died in my last challenge and have been missing now for a while since. I've been keeping up some level of activity but it's far from good enough. I'm not going to explain myself just that I wasn't doing what I really wanted. I've been using too many things as excuses and I'm not happy with it. This challenge is going to be a reboot. I'm going to get back into the swing of things properly and try use the accountability of the forum to help put an end to the excuses. So without further ado; Life Goals: I've moved into a new apartment all to myself while I was away and it's great but between lazyness excuses and being a bit shy I didn't throw the house warming I said I would so during the course of this challenge I have to do this. Challenge 1: No excuses, I'll be working out 5 days a week minnimum. Challenge 2: Gotta eat better, cop on and start cooking proper meals and not just going for the quick easy option so no takeaway/fried foods. Challenge 3: Trying something new, I'm going to try a yoga class during the course of the challenge. Thats it, short and sweet! You might have to bear with me for updates though as I have limited internet access while I'm working offshore which will be most of the challenge.
  16. It's great that you have a base to work out of now it'll make things easier hopefully. I've just fully moved into a new place of my own myself. You inspired me back into the forum and I'm looking into starting a new challenge now for the 10th. Good luck with your next one
  17. Sounds great, I've heard good things about the trx stuff but I'm pretty sure I need someone to show me how to do it right
  18. Awesome doing the parkour I'd try that myself some day if it was actually taught in Ireland
  19. definitely improving anyway. There was running and all in the WOD today so I think I should be ok one I do stay looking after it.
  20. Great stuff getting started, hopefully you can work out a schedule tha keeps you healthy while not putting you under pressure.
  21. So a big weekend of rest and copious amounts of heat applied to my heel. I really think it's been working too as I went to crossfit this morning and one of the workouts included doubdle unders so I did a lot of singles and at the end was able to actually get a few double unders done. All this with no tightness or pain in my heel woo So back to the weekend. Pretty quite really all in all I'm going out Thursday for a girl leaving work so resisted the urge over the weekend. What I did do was buy a pair of runners for my toughathlon at the weekend on sale boom and did a bit of breaking them in Sunday. My streching mostly focused on my heel but it is something at least. I have to do an ice bucket challenge tonight now so I'll check in again tomorrow
  22. I hope you manage to start getting that sleep, it is the big healer after all so I'll keep my fingers crossed that it helps.
  23. Thanks for that especially because I didn't know any of it previously. I may just do a short run over the weekend now thanks to the advice making sure to do some serious warming up. Pity the skipping won't happen till I'm sure its better. More crossfit today and a rough workout 30-20-10 chipper KB swings, wall balls, box jumps, weighted sit ups. So tired now the legs will be glad of some rest over the weekend. Aiming for a quite one just to relax and unwind.
  24. Woo awesome job on the pushups, really big improvement.
  25. Few you do seem to have a lot on your plate which never helps stress. Hopefully you can get some help from the doc.
