  1. Hello, quilaho and friends! I've been meaning to update– but I was having a hard time finding the time until a hamstring strain landed me on the couch (that was just on Saturday). The good news: I had been working really hard and feeling great– no time to post, as my job has been crazy, but with you all in spirit! The bad news: Well, the hamstring strain. I was practicing high side kicks, and I heard this thunderous pop in my standing leg as I crumpled to the floor. Now, the tricky part is how quickly can I/ should I get back at it? It's been two days and I'm gingerly walking now. I'm thinking I can't start kicking until I can walk normally, but I only have until this Friday to commit (or not) to a competition on June 20. /sigh Back on the positive side, I'm eager to check in and see how everybody's doing! – Ninjaneer
  2. How are you feeling, Jisforjay? BTW, I totally envy your Korean vacation! I spent three weeks there last summer (Seoul, Busan, and Jeju) and it's pretty much my favorite place in the world now.
  3. That's so cool– I am not exactly on a first name basis with bees, but I love seeing them around. They are the reason I can justify letting my garden go a little wild.
  4. First of all, way to go! Second, do tell about the beekeeper activity!
  5. OK, turns out I'm completely and utterly failing the foam roller part of my goal. Does anyone else struggle with making time for repair or recovery?
  6. Sounds like you're doing great– even eating out! And I get the impression that a lot of people move between guilds or hang out with multiple guilds. Mixing it up can't be a bad thing!
  7. You and me both! I'm kind of glad that I'm not the only one.
  8. Morning TKD was a little light on strength training today, so I'm picking up the slack at home: 3 x 40 push-ups 3 x 40 leg raises 3 x 50 squats 3 x 150 calf raises It sounds way more daunting without the peer pressure carrying me through!
  9. I can relate to the TKD goal! When is your test, and what will you have to do for it?
  10. Way to squeeze in what you could! I need to remember that on the super-busy days.
  11. My drive home from work sucked all the life out of me today, but reading about your busy day makes me want to get moving! Thanks!
  12. BTW, Quilaho, I love doing TKD with my daughter! Before we started I was skeptical about the all-ages classes, but they've been great.
