  1. I've given up in my pursuit of weightloss I have surrendered a lot of favorites (frozen yogurt, donuts, tacos, Chinese food) and taken a "vow" of Plaeo but I'm finding it hard to give up my last, Sushi. I LOVE sushi. Rolls, Sashimi, nigiri, you name it. My local places know me by face alone. I have removed some of the worse types from my diet (cream cheese and fried rolls) and cut back on the tempura rolls. But I just can't kick somethng that tastes so good and makes me feel happy. I find myself eating it once a week and thats a challenge. SO my question is two fold. One a scale of 1 -10 how bad is sushi for dieting? Should I give up my favoirte food for mt goals? Any advice on this subject? *sigh* I think I already know the answer to this question....
  2. My underlying issue with my obesity was always a mental one (series of f'ed up issues when I was a teenager) and I have a handle on them now. I have no problem with gainning a more active lifestyle its just I can't wait 2+ years to get to an ideal weight. I've done too much (or too little) to my body and I need a boost. However I will look into that orlistat med.
  3. wow, so many spelling errors here... Hey I want to move on to the bodyweight training workout b I've a question regarding step-up boxes. First and foremost they are expensive, like really expensive cheapest one I found was like $76 on amazon. Also I'm a heavy guy and most have a weight limit of 200lbs. So I'm asking the community for alternative exercises or ideas for other items. Thanks.

  5. Anyone have any good ideas for wieght loss/ diabetic/ paleo/ whatever gaming snacks? Moutain Dew and Cheetos are offically out for me....
  6. Ok I hope this is the right forum.... Ok I've recently started a job and I will soon have health insurance that will cover the lap-band. First off I'm morbidly obese (currently 390lbs) and I started the weight loss thing 2 months ago. I've noticed some results (15lbs, woot) but everywhere I read it says that I may want to consider weight loss medication and/or surgery for better results. Consider that bad state of my health (diabetes, hypertension, maybe circulatory issues) I figure losing weight faster would be my best bet. Whats the communities take on wieght loss surgery/ meds?
  7. ...hundreds more to go. Feels a little like climbing over a steep hill and finding a big-ass mountain. Well if you excuse me got I've got a mountain to conquer.
  8. Congrats, mine was a Scyther in the orignal Gold version.
  9. ok thanks I just finished my workout and i fell better. So when I feel this I should just workout more?
  10. understood thanks, however on the off chance its something else. ANything I should look out for?
  11. and I need some advice. My shoulder muscles have been sore and achy for 2 days now and ikt has been consistant. I've heard there is no way to stop this but its now working into my regular exercise regime.Should I not exercise until the soreness goes away or "fight through the pain". (no point in working out if I make my arms unusable for a few weeks). Also any more general knowledge about this would be helpful.
  12. I know someone on this board is a diabetic, so I'm going to post this here. Here the case: I'm getting a lot of conflicting data about eating a banana with breakfast from a lot of sources. Some say don't if you want to lose weight, so say do if you do. Even my docotrs (my endo and Gen.) are giving me conflicting answers. I usually eat one with breakfast, along with a glass of almond milk (cinnamon and flaxseed), and whatever veg/protein I want for that meal. After my morning workput (Bodyweight). I don't feel a sugar rush from it, however I do occasosly feel a sugar craving later in the day. Any advice from advanced players in the game? (P.S. Freaking love bananas.....just putting that out there).
  13. I know I've read this somewhere on the site, but for the life of me I can't remember where. Basically my issue is I'm a (really) big guy and I'm on the 3rd floor. I did the warm-up excerises today (along with the BW circuit) and found the jumping jacks....painful. I know I'll be able to do them better after I shed a few (or a lot) but for now they hurt a lot. Is there an alternative excerise like this I can incorporate into my warm-up.
  14. wait just found it....nice. This seems like it might be fun, damn glad I signed up for this program.
  15. Acutally.... have no idea what your talking about. What does this challenge involve?
