  1. Agree with athousandwords. Focus on what you have accomplished so far. And like you said, it’s easy to improve You got a plan?
  2. Great week 4!! Glad your knee recovered so quickly And probably a good idea not to disturb your neighbours, although I suspect you are a savant on the clarinet! Sound like a good plan for week 5 as well
  3. Week 4 sum up It’s been a great week: Meditation 4- ✔ (+1 since last week) Exercising 7- ✔ Healthy foods 7-✔ Eating "Lagom" 7-✔ Sugarfreedom 7-✔ Rehab/Triggerpoint 6-✔ (-1 since last week) Social Media 7-✔ (+2 since last week) Reading 6-✔ (+2 since last week) Mindful activites 6-✔ Gratitude 6-✔ (+2 since last week) In total = 64/70 points :victorious: :victorious: Most proud (again) that my eating is under control. 28 days in a row = the longest time since last july = Woooptiwoot! Beginning to get my meditation in order as well (thanks to Mac and our Buddy system). For week 5 the following changes are made: 2 Mindful activities/day30 min (on average) for reading and triggerpoint/rehab15 min meditation/daySocial media break 6 hours in a row Week 5, here I come!
  4. Thanks . And I agree with you, "waste" time can sometimes actually be good. But like you say, I prefer meditation. But it doesn't mean I will quit "wasting time" for ever, just that I will focus more on stuff I feel less wasteful. The idea with a routine is great (you are really smart ) and I have tried that successfully before. The problem now is that my days vary. Sometimes I'm alone, but sometimes I'm with my girlfriend, and then my routines are harder. But I really should aim for a solid morning routine, that incorporates stuff I like (for instance meditation) that works everywhere. Your morning routine sounds perfect Love the love here A sum up for week 4 will come during the day
  5. WoooT!! You've done great I really like your approach with not beating your self up when not reaching your goal. When one focus on what one have accomplished instead of what one hasn't accomplished, life is better. Enjoy your "week off" with workouts, flute and outdooring You rock!
  6. Hope you recover quickly As for the challenge, I understand that you want to throw in the towel. But don't forget what you have accomplished so far (you for instance brought the crew together!). Would be sad to see you go, but you have to make the decision you feel comfortable with.
  7. Yay for weight loss, sugarfreeness and your good experiences with your detox And also thanks for learning me a new expression (86 someone )
  8. Agree with Mac, sounds like a active week And like Rowan mentions, perhaps a dietary change can be made? How/what are you eating in general?
  9. Doing great!!!! Ahhh, understand the phone-issues... Perhaps you can bribe yourself? Resisting goodies for the rest of the challenge allows you to buy a Fitbit?
  10. Seriously, such a cool person you are. Playing, teaching parkour and designing apps. And all this whilst being a mom. :triumphant: :triumphant:
  11. Thanks for the tea-tip, will try that one Sorry to hear about your sister. But good that you meditated over it. Regarding the jealousy, it's hard for you to do anyting about it. Those are her feelings and you can't control them. Hopefully her feelings will pass... But I understand that it still is hard for you.
  12. Wow, you are really rocking this challenge! Meditation can really be tricky, especially when you want longer sessions. I have always wanted to do mine in the evening, but have many times failed because I'm often tired and/or busy with other things. I have now tried to do it first thing in the morning and so far it's working (but to be honest, I started with this today )
  13. Hope your knee is good/getting better Like you goals for the week. Any particular board games in mind?
  14. Hi! Glad to see you here . Thanks for the tip about Feldenkraise, I will definitely check that out! Thanks! *Blushing* Thank you for the support Yes, that "just rest" line from doctors is really annoying. If all these injuries have taught me something it is that I am grateful for what I CAN do. Like taking the bike to work, which I couldn't 6 months ago. Am really trying to be "positive" and it works most of the time, but sometimes I just get really tired. What I can say however is that staying off junk food has helped my mood. When I binged (as comfort) I got really moody and had much longer periods when I felt bad for myself. Week 4 is starting off good. All goals on track except meditation… Will start today and try my best to end my week with 5 points on that. As for the ponderings, they have to wait a little bit more since they are now just a scribble of random thoughts. Sneak preview: It involves me finding some kind of passion in life, which I can combine with: My job, my relationship, my injuries and my values. Today, much of my time is "wasted" on reading blogs, skimming through random books, watching netflix etc. Of course I do meaningful stuff as well (work out, working, spending time with girlfriend etc) but I really want to feel that my "me"-time is counted for and don't just slip away on stuff that have little value in the long term. Not the easiest task, but I think I will come up with something more before this challenge ends. Thank you all for following! Hope you all have a great week
  15. Great week Mac! 1.We are addressing that problem with the buddy system 2. Awesome old man! 3. Yay 4. I had a Jawbone once, and I used it for a couple of weeks, the got rid of it. Can't you just use your phone (Runkeeper or similar apps) instead? If you're trying to increase savings, a Fitbit might not be the best idea Looks like week 4 is off to a good start!
  16. Thank you for your kind words J. But I disagree with comparing our achievements. If you make it for three week, that’s freaking awesome because that’s more than YOU have done before. We have to stop comparing ourselves to others, since this seldom benefit us. Sure, I’v done three weeks now and hopefully will make 6. But there are people how have gone years, and if I compare myself to them, I kind of suck. But when I compare with my “past†self, I’m awesome. The same applies for you and everybody here in the crew. Have sent you a message regarding our buddy system!
  17. Great week! And a long week with camping seems great I understand the reluctance to measure everything. Perhaps you can make it simpler by just making a note every time you eat something with more than 10 or 5 % added sugar?
  18. Like the idea of tracking sugar daily, since hidden sugar can pile up and at the end be alot..... How was your weekend?
  19. Wow, awesomeness! Too bad about the crappy weather, but it lokks like you have a nice week in front of you Thanks for the Yoga-inspiration!
  20. Glad to hear about your great week Regarding flossing: I never flossed before because it was such a pain in the ***, but then I got "Plackers flossers" which makes it really easy and no need to put your hands in your mouth. (I am not employed by the company). Takes about a minute
  21. All in all, a great week (sickness and busy-ness aside)! Routines are great, but sometimes they are to rigid and that makes them hard to follow. If your schedule changes much, perhaps you have to plan just day by day.
  22. Week three is history. Live and learn. How was the beginning of week 4?
  23. Agree with previous posts. Cut yourself some slack But it's great that you check in more often so that we can follow your progress and the risk for a "bad" week decreases.
  24. Hi! Great to see you again. Wow, massive challenge, but you are doing really great. Every goal you have will surly effect your life in a positive way and it will be fun to follow your progress along the way.
