  1. I did Krav Maga for awhile. I'm thinking of going at it again. It's a very logical martial art, mostly based on reactions, brutal counters, etc. Weapons are not used much, more disarming and countering weapons. Krav Maga is army minded. It's not ritualistic; you won't be bowing to a statue before you spar or something. Anyway, I recommend Krav Maga. If you want to do swords, then I recommend Kendo. However, a dojo that'll teach Kendo can be a rare find depending on where you live.
  2. I'm not full paleo because I do eat bread & drink beer. but pretty much everything else thats not paleo, I don't eat. Thanks for the advice!
  3. First update: I failed my first 20hr intermittent fast cause my stepmother bought watermelon. I'm a sucker for watermelon, I couldn't resist. Hopefully today will go better. Gymwise, I did half hour elliptical and arms & shoulders weight training, Today I'm thinking of treadmill & taking a krav maga class, could be fun. More updates soon.

  8. Ladies and gentlemen, I've been a member for awhile now and think it's time to start a daily (or semi monthly, whenever I have the time) battle log. I turned 23 on the 8th and realized I havn't been getting much anywhere on my weight loss goals. So I thought "Time to get serious". I am currently 280lbs. I want to get to 200lbs, hopefully by today 2015. I plan to make it happen by a combination of intermittent fasting, dropping fast food, and various exercises at my local gym and of course the kickass workouts posted on this site. Any advice would be greatly apprechiated. Thnx a bunch. P.S. I attached a pic of me now.

  10. Hi, I'm Cory. You can address me as The guy, or Dovahkihn, whatever you prefer. I first noticed Nerd Fitness with the "Real-Life Roleplaying" blog post from Mr. Kamb. I then knew I had to be part of this community. To the fitness part. I am currently 290lbs, 6'1" and purty chubby. Here is a pic of what I look like right now.
