Help! I've put on weight since I started exercising more

Also keep in mind that you lose fat more noticeably in your extremities first. Your body likes to create a bit of a protective shell around your organs. Just keep chipping away! -
My favorite trail-running spot is at Breakheart Reservation in Saugus, if that's your speed. Not the biggest reserve (or even the best, really), but I have a lot of fun there. Barking Crab is all the reason you need to want to be in Boston.

Any Sportwatch/FuelBand/Nike+ app users out there? SN is 2128m on there if anyone wants to connect

Can't believe Get Fit Now! with Bill Carter didn't get a nod? -
Comic Books and Graphic Novels: What are you reading?

Just finished the last Runaways series (frustrating cliffhanger ending, though I guess Avengers Arena answered that question?) Getting caught up on Marvel at the moment. Finishing up X-Men Legacy and Secret Avengers before moving onto the "All-New Marvel NOW!" stuff. -
Those were actually part of SL a couple (few?) years back. Don't remember what year it was but they've obviously since been removed. I kept them in for my own routine.

What song can you absolutely not stop listening to lately?

St. Paul and the Broken Bones - "Grass is Greener" CHVRCHES - "Lungs" State Champs - Critical" August Burns Red - "Echoes" All of these for different moods -
Thanks! This'll actually be my 4th year doing OCR events and Sprint seems to be my sweet-spot distance. Those trifecta medals do look mighty pretty, though. Next year! I was aiming for a sub-48 minute time this year but the verbiage on the event page seems to indicate the course may be shorter this time around? Who knows. Just looking to conquer!

Hey there, my name is Mike. I'm 28 years old and I'm from just outside Boston. I love comics, wrestling, punk/metal music, and gadgets, and I will defend the series finale of Lost until I'm dead and buried. I'm not new to fitness by any means, just new to the forums. Currently in training for this year's Spartan Sprint in Amesbury, MA as well as the Baystate Marathon in Lowell, with some other assorted 5k's and OCR events spread out throughout the year. I'm currently studying toward my NASM personal training certification and hope to complete this by end of August. Looking forward to being able to contribute to the community and to discussing progress and goals with like-minded nerds.
