    First challenge

    My name is Tana and I love Nerd Fitness. This is my first real interaction with the forum but I am involved in the Facebook group for women. The support academy people give one another is so motivating. I have many goals. I want to be healthy and have more energy. My diet has always been bad but in the past few years I have improved slowly. My diet challenge is going to be no snacking at work unless it's friut veggies or nuts. This is important to me because the snacking stems from boredom and dislike of my job so being a boredom or stress eater is such a bad habit. I tend to hit the candy dishes around the office or the vending machine. I am preparing myself for a 5 k run so I will be running 3 times a week and 3 times a week do strength training. My life skill will be to get up weekdays at 545 so I can hit the gym before work Another long term goal is to do a pull up by end of year It might seem I am taking a long time to accomplish this but I am not a young person. So part of my strength training is following Steves plan Here's to leveling up

    challenge

    I was going to do last challenge but didn't...so my goal is to: Start working out regularly...to be healthy, more flexible and to reduce stress. Mini goals: I will work out 3 times a week doing bodyweight exercises and cardio 2 or 3 times a week. I will incorporate yoga poses at least 4 times a week to increase flexibility. I will work on breathing techniques learned in a yoga breathing workshop at least 3 times a week to help with stress. Life goal: I will save $300.00
  3. Main quest - to loose 3-5 pounds. - this may sound like a little bit of weight, but I am not super fat. I just find myself adding weight slowly...which is dangerous. Goal 1. To eat less sugar and make my diet healthier by eating more whole foods and hopefully not have so many cravings Goal 2. To do weight training to build up more muscle to burn more calories Goal 3. To go to the gym 4 or 5 times a week for at least 45 minutes
