  1. @ Gainsdalf the Whey: Still interested in joining the nerd fitness clan, will be leaving my old clan tonight. I'm not looking to make waves, just take a back seat and donate good troops (I'm level 115) and leave the running of the clan to others. For the past year or so, two things have brought me much enjoyment, they being Clash of Clans and Nerd Fitness. If you could allow me to combine them, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Peter
  2. Wow, you're getting a lot more done than I am lately! Sounds like a fun Bar-b-que, even without the chips, miss my salty snacks. Hope the Adventureland day at the park was fun and relaxing. If you're free, my laundry room could stand a little work... <g>
  3. So that's cooked rice & beef in a hollowed out uncooked zucchini, then baked? Mmm... I got me an idea... Any times and temps you can share? Have fun in Florida
  4. Free of the rat crazy Mistress and her poor brow beaten Major-domo, I continued my travels exploring the land and its peoples. The next day after a cold night curled up under a bush, my threadbare cloak truly missed, I came upon a traveling troupe of players who welcomed me to travel with them in exchange for helping at the next town. While I was in need of the companionship and meals, I looked forward to being a part of the "magic". Nearing sunset, we entered the small town and had to hurry to set up since apparently we were running a little late. I helped as much as I could, but to be honest it seemed that I was in the way more than helping, it was clear that this wasn't the first time this team went through this routine. When it came time for the play, I was told that i would be conducting one of the blindfolded players around the stage, but not to fear that I would be part of a chain and just to copy what the others did. We were just about to go on, when the player I was to conduct, objected to my tattered appearance. Several sharp nods answered him, and one of the stage hands slipped away. I saw her make her way through the crowd of villagers to watch the show, greeting people and point up at the stage etc... when she very deftly lifted a heavy cloak from one of the merchants come to watch the play. I was about to object, when my shoulder was patted and the Manager of the Players told me "we" would return it after the play was done. Dressed a fine new cloak, I took my place in the troupe and the play started. I'm not really sure what the play was about, though everybody seemed to enjoy themselves, the players and the villagers. After the play was over, the villagers treated us to food and wine, it was after midnight when we all stumbled back to the wagons. When I finally woke, I realized that I was wrapped in the "borrowed" cloak of the merchant! Hoping up I almost tumbled into a heap as I realized that the wagon I was in was moving! Apparently my cloak wasn't the only thing that got borrowed last night, as the players and their wagons left the town before sunrise and the villagers could see that several expensive items had gone missing. My pleas that we turn around and return to the village were met with laughs, and I was told that if I didn't like how things were done, I was welcome to continue on my own! So in a huff, I parted ways with the Players and their stolen items and started backtracking towards the village. My good intentions were short lived, for barely a mile down the road I came to a fork in the path and had no idea which way to turn. In frustration I jammed my rag wrapped hands into the pockets of the stolen cloak and found to my amazement a full coin purse! Unsettled about the way that I came upon my new found wealth, I couldn't help but see how this money could really benefit me in my travels... Hey kids, Busy summer season here in Nova Scotia, Canada, the summer is short so you have to take advantage of it when you have it. My garden is doing well, peppers look great and tomato's have blooms. Ok, The "Players" and the play was me visiting a nearby lodge while they conducted a degree (bit like a play). Since they were a person short, I was asked to be a conductor of the blindfolded person. I'd never done that before and it's quite an experience to be part of somebodies journey in freemasonry. Since I have lost some weight (about 75lb since August 2013) I'm having a hard time with dress clothes. I hate paying big $$$ for something I'm going to outgrow, so I rooting through my closets and found a nice pair of slacks that I couldn't fit in two years ago. Now they are almost too big, but did in a pinch. Neat thing was that when I put my hands in the pockets I found an old five dollar bill! That five dollar bill I used to buy a 50/50 ticket Saturday night when the Gf and I went to the drive-in to watch the latest Transformers and I bloody well won!!! $445.00 Who says losing weight doesn't pay? lol Main Quest: Still bouncing around 188 - 192 lbs Side Quest 1. Weighted myself these first three days of week, but went over calorie budget in one of the three. Tuesday was Canada Day, and I splurged a bit. 2. 1 out 2 Cardio's done 3. 1 out of 2 BBWW's done Life Quest: Waiting for a rainy day to work in basement, been doing yardwork, painting etc..
  5. LOL!!! but the important question is... what it paleo? <g> Teros you cruel bugger, I did my BBWW today just for you! Hot and Humid out, but found a bit of shade and a breeze and did THREE sets of... 20 Squats 10 Push-ups 20 Walking lunges (10 each leg)- almost killed me! 10 Dumbbell rows (need to find/made a heavier weight) 15 seconds Plank 30 Jumping Jacks If its ok with you, I'm going to hit the shower now!
  6. Fair enough Gainsdalf, my clan is currently in mid-war right now as well, (prep day) and I wouldn't leave til war ended anyways, not fair to the rest of them. Feel free to check my "friend in need", I have good numbers and am quite active. Please let me know, Peter
  7. Hey kids, Are you accepting new members? I see that you're at 50/50 but wondering if you have any "dead weight atm". I'm in need of a change, check me out at "Agamemnon" clan (blue and white lightening flag), user name in petefeet74. 40 year old male from Canada, been playing since Feb 2013 Looking to take a back seat from co-leader status, and sit in the background for a bit. Thanks
  8. Determined to be a active and productive member of the team, petefeet starts pacing side to side to see with there is any pattern or design in the placement of the mannequins. So far the answers to Distractia's puzzles seem to be hidden in plain sight and this time petefeet wants to help figure it out. Did a quick BBWW yesterday, 20 squats, 10 lunges and 30 seconds of plank. Plan on doing a full routine tomorrow. Happy Canada Day all (assuming any Canadians here!)
  9. Thanks Chris-Tien Jinn, hard to keep a handle on this point thing! <g>
  10. I think you've done amazing so far with the busy life you have, I know I won't be able to get even half of that done. Sounds like the garage is coming right along, really motivating when you can really "SEE" that you have done something. Have a great week!
  11. Really wish I could help take some of the stress off you KingLeeroy, sounds like you've had more than your fair share lately. I'm quite fortunate that most of my family gets along quite well, we might not agree with some stuff, but people have to live their own lives. Like others have said, do what you can to support your father and try and put your Grandfather out of your mind. Some people can only be happy when they are making others miserable and he sounds like one of those. On a lighter note... <g> The crock-pot is the greatest invention ever (ok, top 20) I use it for soups, stews, whole chickens, pot roast etc... Let your imagination be your guide. If the boyfriend doesn't hurry up, get yourself a "to give to poor" box and threaten to put some of his stuff in it! That might spur him on. Have a great week!
  12. A "B" is a win in my books buddy, well done! Interested in hearing how Ramadan is going and any challenges it poses for you. Have a great week!
  13. Sounds like you're doing great buddy, hope the new job works out for you.
  14. Glad to hear that the training and diet are where you want them to be, I know how it can be a struggle! After my walk/jog "adventure" the other day I was convinced that there was a dead skunk on the trail someplace, til I was informed, that no it was "me"! Have a great week buddy!
  15. Hope you feel better soon, it's amazing how much energy it takes to fight off a cold etc.. I've found "pushing through it" sometimes just makes it worse. Have a wicked week Miss Rebecca!
  16. Just checking in with you ChristArtist, hope you had a wonderful weekend!
  17. Just checking in with you Edigo, hope you and the family are doing well. Have a great week!
  18. Hey Kareesh, just another fan looking to check up with you, hope your worlds good. Have a great week.
  19. Just checking in with you buddy, my world's been crazy as well. Have a great week.
  20. Ok, I need a break! Just got caught up on your thread buddy, you're doing great!!! I'll be taking a page out of the "Book of Dark Raider" for organizational skills, man I don't know where you find the time to get all this done. Glad to hear you're enjoying jump rope, had to do it when I took boxing training and completely hated it, felt like I was wearing swimming fins while blindfolded! If I remember correctly, I put a hole in the wall where I got so tripped up and basically ran into the wall. Still loving the "Rant of the Day", though a lot of the time I would call it the "Inspiration of the Day". Kick butt this week!
  21. Hey Teros/Mike, Sorry I'm late to the party (as it were) but felt the need to chime in anyways. I certainly see some parallels between us, though for me it was/is books rather than videogames. I'll be honest, I'm going something similar with my Gf. We're only together because we worked for the same company and were lonely and neither of us were/are very experienced with relationships. Most weekends I feel that I'm just sex and supper for her, we don't share any of the same hobbies, nor really do anything as a couple. I've tried to find a common connection, but just get "I don't care, whatever". The whole point of this, is that you're not alone buddy, we all have our own issues that we need to deal with. I'm not going to tell you what to do, nor would you do so to me, but sometimes knowing that others are struggling can make life a little easier for you. We're here if you need us/me.
  22. Real life happens to the best of us Ravnos, I know it does/did to me. Have a great week!
  23. Hey Lupus, just checking in. Hope all is well with you and look forward to seeing what this week has in store for you.
