  1. First ever challenge!!!! This is my first Nerd Fitness challenge as well as my first ever real effort to get fit. To put it shortly I'm super excited!! As this is my first time ever trying to get fit and actually caring about the food I eat. I think that if I just stick with it for the full 6 weeks I will count it as a success. I plan to post on this thread every week on Sunday(starting tomorrow) with an update on weight and body composition pictures. Hopefully this will act both as a great source of accountability, AND if I'm lucky by the end can be a serious point of pride. Anyway to put it breifly. My Main Quest is to Become Athletic. I've never been very fit, participated in sports and I want to rectify that. Specifically I want to be able to do a handstand and with time I hope to get into gymnastics, martial arts, maybe try out some parkour, slacklining. I'm not sure yet but I know that I want to build some kind of skills. At the moment I can't even do a pull up XD My Individual targets to reach this goal are Eat as close to Paleo as possible(max one food a day not paleo approved)Do Strength Training 3 times a week(Always Increasing)Do Interval Training 3 times a week(Attempting faster speeds)Hopefully these three will help me a long way towards my goal, but if you guys wanted to suggest something different or had any specific suggestions on what kind of training or foods I should try I'd love to here them! I'm also going to have two sidequests Life Quest: Improve my ChineseDiet/Fitness Quest: Practice doing a handstand 5 minutes at least a dayI'm headed to China for 5 months right around the end of this challenege so I want to be spending some time improving my language skills in preperation. I also want to start on my way to at least one skill and i think that handstands sounds like a good place to start. I'll be following Steve's article on developing a handstand but again if anyone has any other suggestions I would love to hear them. Finally, I just want to say that I discovered Nerd Fitness a few weeks ago and almost immediately fell in love with the site and it's community it's been fantastic to look through all the old articles and get inducted into the world of fitness through such an amazing group of people and such a great set of introductory information. I can't wait to see how this pans out I'm really excited, and I wish everyone participating in this challenge the best of luck!!!   3. Hello! This is really my first time to not only Nerd Fitness but really to forums in general. As such I really don't know where I should be or what I should be posting, but here goes nothing. I'm a 20 year old university student brand new to fitness, I've never been desperately overwieght but I've also never really been in shape. I've always dreamed of being healthy/fit/strong and looking great but never took any action towards it. I stumbled across Nerd Fitness about a week ago and now I want to make a complete turn around!! I'm really excited to begin this journey, but I would love some help getting started. If someone could reccomend a particular section of the forums to go to or where I should be posting I would love some help. I'd love to start tracking my progress, set myself up with a character and build some accountability. though generally I'd just like to start engaging with the community and would love a good place to start. Thanks! No matter what feel free to say hi! I'm excited to get going!!!
