  1. Thank you so much! It really is tough... I started off strong but I seem to be running out of steam lately... keeping myself accountable by sticking to these goals will help!
  2. Haha awesome! Pretty similar to WoW then!
  3. He is Lupus, hear him roar! Despite life bringing you down, you seemed to have rolled with the punches quite fabulously. Keep that positive mindset and you're well on your way! I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines!
  4. It definitely does get better over time... or perhaps you just learn to embrace the pain. Since it's a good pain... it's a sign your body is working! The only thing that I do on really bad days that seems to help is to pop an advil or two... Sadly there are no shortcuts around the pain (that I know of, anyway! Granted I'm still fairly new to all of this...) Hopefully somebody else can give you some helpful tips/tricks! Good luck and keep up the hard work!!
  5. I'm already on medication but it doesn't magically make my food addiction go away. It's a lifelong struggle.
  6. Hopping on your bandwagon a little late, but here I am! Subbing loving your story progression and quests! Keep it up!
  7. I sure hope so!! In fact, it actually dawned on me today that I haven't thought of him since at least the beginning of the week woo!
  8. Hehe I'm not sure what that picture is a reference to sadly... -hides under a rock- I was referencing my mage character in World of Warcraft!
  9. Thanks so much guys! I appreciate the support Sorry about not replying earlier... I've been busy with work, school & the gym! Lots of food porn coming your way (although they're all on my Instagram) I've been good at logging all my food on MyFitnessPal and I've been hitting my weekly gym goal. I've lost 7 lbs so far! Almost back down to my 30lbs original weight loss! pushing past that will be the true test... Not doing so great on the studying front though... only studied 3.5hrs out of my 15 hour goal... boo but hey, still 3 days to go! Check out my Instagram & MyFitnessPal - links are in my siggy!
  10. Ressurection Sickness ; “Decreases all attributes and all damage dealt by 75%. Wears off after 10 minutes…†I may have fallen but I’m going to pick myself up and become better and stronger. A little about myself… About 16 months ago I did my first ever NF challenge. After the first, I chose not to create a second thread but I still continued my progress by following roughly the same quests. It worked wonders! I lost 30 lbs in only 3 short months! That’s when I met my ex-boyfriend. The first few months I was still being careful in what I ate and continued hitting up the gym, but definitely not as regularly. As time went on, my progress completely derailed. I don’t blame him in the least; I have to keep myself accountable. I was so consumed with the new relationship and wanted to give all of myself to it but by doing so I completely put my own needs on the back burner. We both LOVED to eat and fed off of each other’s bad habits. Sadly a little over 4 months ago, we broke up. That put me in an even bigger funk. I’ve spent the last 3 months eating absolutely terribly and not really giving a second thought to my well-being. I’m incredibly lucky to have only regained 10 lbs since I stopped working out and eating properly thanks to my non-sedentary job (I’m on my feet walking 40 hrs/week.) Fast forward to this new year 2016 – over the last month I’ve been having a really hard time digesting anything remotely fatty and only a few short weeks ago I got incredibly sick with gastroenteritis. That was my lowest point ever. I’m tired of food making me feel physically sick – the instant (albeit very short lived) emotional gratification of food isn’t even worth it anymore because I just ended up feeling even worse after binging! It’s time to make a change again. Check out my current NF challenge to see how I’m going to conquer my inner demons! I could use all the support and accountability-buddies I can get!

I’m tired of food making me feel physically sick – the instant (albeit very short lived) emotional gratification of food isn’t even worth it anymore because I just ended up feeling even worse after binging! It’s time to make a change again. Okay, ENOUGH BABBLING. Let’s get to how I’m going to conquer my inner demons… Since my first ever NF challenge quests seemed to have worked so well, I’m going to try sticking to those same guidelines as I jump back into this wonderful community Conjure Refreshments Conjures food providing the Mage and her/his allies with something to eat. · Log all food intake using MyFitnessPal and stay at or under 1600 calories per day. I absolutely have to log everything I eat or else I lose track. Luckily for me my house is always stocked with whole wheat and low calorie options. The real issue for me is portion size. Bring on the measuring cups and weight scales! Polymorph Transforms the targeted enemy into a sheep. · Workout at least 3 times per week for a minimum of 1 hour per session. A bad-ass sheep, that is – and the enemy being my former unhealthy self! The one thing I found hardest about working out in the past is routine… I get so bored by doing the same thing over and over. That completely destroys my motivation. That’s why I need to try out a multitude of activities (Zumba, yoga, swimming, cardio, weight lifting, hiking/geocaching, skating, biking, etc.) Am I a rebel or am I a rebel, am I right? Maybe one day I’ll find my niche… maybe not! Time Warp Warp the flow of time, increasing haste by 30% · Allow myself one cheat meal per week. Everything in moderation. I feel it’s necessary to keep a healthy lifestyle 80% of the time and allow myself to cheat a bit 20% of the time. If I stay 100% strict I just know that one day it’s going to all come crumbling down and I’ll binge every day for a week straight. This way I can calm the cravings but still stay mindful. Blink Teleports the caster 20 yards forward, unless something is in the way. I’m hoping that by pushing through these life goals, it’ll lead me to a better and more productive life. · Study a minimum of 15 hours per week. Aside from trying to better my body, I’m also trying to better my mind by going back to school this new year. I haven’t been in school for over 2 years and my program is 100% online so it’ll require lots of motivation to complete but I believe it’ll be crucial for me moving forward in my career. · Organize / Clean Room I haven’t done this in many many months. It’s beyond overdue. I hope that by doing so I’ll be able to help the less fortunate by donating a lot of my old clothes and other items that I no longer use. With any luck, by the end of it all, my newly refreshed room will become a safe haven for me to zen out and further improve my mind. Good luck to me and all of you! Can’t wait to meet new people!
  12. I'm guessing you meant without milk? Either way, yum! I'd love to try sausage or spinach (or both!) in my next ones I've definitely not given up! I often put a dash of milk in my scrambled eggs to fluffen them up and it works but I guess I just put too much in my frittatas. Next time I'll be going without for sure!
  13. This list is awesome! I should make one too; to stay on track, get things done and keep my goals in mind whenever I lack motivation
  14. Thanks Hesaki! Unfortunately the frittatas weren't as good as I had hoped... Unfortunately, I put milk in the mixture because I thought it would make them fluffier, instead it made them very wet. I sponged them down before freezing them but the other day, I nuked one from frozen and it was still very wet. After sponging it down some more, the texture of it was really off putting, not eggy at all. Curse you milk! A friend of mine told me she does hers without milk and they turn out fine so... I'll know for next time!
  15. Went on an awesome 2km hike today at Lac Pink!

  16. Week 2 update! Hey guys! Before I start, let me take a moment for a mini-woot: As of yesterday morning, I’ve lost 6.6 lbs since the beginning of this challenge! (hurray!) My measurements haven’t budged much yet except for my waist where I’ve lost 1 inch! DISCOVERY TIME – In true Adventurer style, I attempted a new type of workout yesterday! I attended my first ever Zumba class and absolutely loved it – I’ll definitely be doing that again (and again!) Woo, what a work out! I was drenched afterwards! That being said, so far this week has been so-so … Quest 1 – Work out for 1 hour 3 times per week Currently this week I’ve only done a half hour yoga workout at home and last night’s 1 hour Zumba session so I guess I’m currently at 1.5 workouts per week? However, I am planning on going hiking at Pink Lake this coming Sunday with Priscillia! Does Sunday count as part of this week? If so, that’ll bring me up to 2.5 workouts this week which is pretty close to my goal of 3! I hope the hiking will go well, last time a few years ago the trail just about killed me so hopefully I’ll be able to keep up this time! Fingers crossed! Quest 2 – Log all food intake and eat a max of 1750 calories per day This has still been going well! I’ve logged every day since the beginning of this challenge. That being said, Wednesday was a little challenging as I had to get my wisdom tooth removed. Pretty much all I could eat was bread & chicken noodle soup. Still managed to keep it under 1750cal though! Quest 3 – Reduce eating out to a maximum of once per week So far I’ve only eaten out once this week at Boston Pizza. I made a smart choice though! Went with a multigrain calzone stuffed with diced chicken breast, green peppers, chopped tomatoes, mozzarella and bruschetta mix. It also had a side of garden greens with low-fat raspberry vinaigrette. Only 660 calories! Not too shabby. However, I’m going to have to break my eating out rule/goal once again this week as two of my friends want me to go out to sushi with them tonight. Although I’m going out to eat, I solemnly swear to not touch anything fried (tempura battered, etc.) and stick to rolls and sashimi (to reduce my rice intake). That’s about it for now! Now, here are a few pictures : Pink Lake where I’m going hiking on Sunday My ‘healthy’ calzone meal at Boston Pizza Me about to get my wisdom tooth removed… /cower My face after having my tooth removed… still numb. Looks like half my face was shot up with botox… I can’t make normal facial expressions! Ahhh! BONUS! On Thursday night I decided to make some mini egg frittatas for an easy grab n’ go breakfast! Each one contains eggs, ham, red bell pepper & mozzarella! Baking the frittatas! Finished product, tahdah! That’s it for now, kids! Until next time Peace!
  17. Fair enough, baha! easy = win!
  18. Yeppers! I drink at least 500ml-1L of water per day... I know I probably should be drinking more though. I've tried a handful of nuts as a snack but I try not to eat it too often since they do contain lots of fats. At least they're high in protein & keep me feeling full for a while
  19. I was wondering how to calculate how much weight I've been 'moving' if I'm simply using my own body weight. May I ask why you divided your body weight in half to calculate your total? Thanks Anyone else is welcome to answer too, of course!
  20. Week 1 Recap! I’M STILL ALIVE !! Sorry for not having updated my thread sooner, last week was crazy hectic! Despite having a hectic work schedule, I still managed to stay on track last week! I tracked my food intake every day and have been staying at or under 1750 cal per day, managed to get three one-hour workouts in ( two yoga classes and one aquafit class) and had one cheat meal on an outing with a friend last Wednesday (remained reasonable enough in my food choices, I’d say!) Things I’ve learned/discovered (my ‘aha’ moments!): I’ve been taking more time while I eat to fully savor and enjoy what I’m eating. I take the time to chew each bite at least 10 times and swallow the whole bite before putting more in my mouth. That way I’m not gobbling everything up and I’m actually more conscious of my eating habits. As an added bonus of eating my meals/snacks slower, I’ve noticed that I’m getting fuller faster and easier. By taking my time, my stomach actually has the time to tell my brain that I’m full before reaching the point of having over-eaten.I feel like my palate is changing, I’m starting to rediscover foods that I found were bland in the past (ie, plain chicken)I’m not having as many cravings! Went to the grocery store and saw chocolate and chips and didn’t get tempted. Smells still get me sometimes though… damn you fried foods!I’m actually starting to get excited to go out and exercise! I found out that one of my best friends that I haven’t seen in a while also goes to my gym – YAY NEW GYM BUDDY. Hello accountability! Some yummy food pics of my meals from last week: Tomato & bocconcini salad and a bit of chicken for lunch on day 5 Healthy-tweaked homemade shrimp Pad Thai, broccoli slaw with sesame dressing on day 6 Obstacles: Sometimes I have trouble telling when I’m actually fullTelling the difference between emotional/boredom hunger and actual hunger. (I try to ask myself if I’d eat something I don’t enjoy, and if the answer is yes then I’m actually hungry. That seems to be working for the time being!) CONFESSION TIME - I slipped up last Friday. I went to the movies and told myself I’d only have a small popcorn without butter. I ordered a regular popcorn…. with butter. And I ate it all. Sigh. How I felt post-popcorn: What have I done?! Popcorn, why must you taste so damn good!?!? Bah. I felt pretty gross and demotivated afterwards but sigh… you fall off the horse, you gotta get back on, right? Alright, enough rambling! Overall, here are the grades I’d give myself for last week: Quest 1 – work out 3x/week for one hour – A Quest 2 – Log all food and eat 1750 cal/day – A Quest 3 – Cut out fast food/eating out to once per week – B TL;DR - Did pretty great last week, learned some new things, faced a few obstacles, slipped up at the end of the week, felt like crap, getting back on the horse slowly but surely and yummy food pics!
  21. Yum! Butternut squash & spaghetti squash are some of my fave veggies! Awesome progress so far! Keep it up
  22. This 2nd mini sounds like so much fun! Too bad this isn't next week's mini cause I've got a few obstacles in my way this week BUT I'll try my darnedest to work at least one weight workout in this week I'll keep you guys updated
