  1. Just an update, I came second in the boulder comp and i'm on for 3rd in a lead climbing comp flashing 9 climbs up to 7c. I've entered the next boulder comp (round 2) and i have just three problems left n that too. My training and diet (Paleo/primal) are working out amazingly
  2. got another of the problems today thats 18/20 and making good progress on the other 2! got a good week of trad climbing planned too Psyched!
  3. Was just told about this guild by Hazard. so i'll be popping over and following you guys until i can apply to join. I'm a keen climber. I love bouldering, sports and trad. Check over on my first 6 week challenge if you're interested in seeing how i'm doing
  4. Today was the start of the first round of the summer boulder league. It's open for 4 weeks and there are 20 problems. I climbed 17 of them (flashing most) tonight. I have 4 weeks to work the remaining 3. I also worked on my shoulder stabilisation too. so today was a good day
  5. Thanks Blaid, I tend to climb around 4 days a week in the wall. I actually work as a climbinging instructor. The whole idea behind the goal is to climb the Irish 8. The hardest to do is the E8 as it requires a lot more than just strength and skill such as good mental focus. Also as bolting isn't really allowed here just finding a >8a sports routes is pretty hard too . Taking part in competitions is a big part in helping me stay focused under pressure so i'm really looking forward to that part of the challenge.

Main Quest, Long term: to climb Sport 8a+ boulder 8a and Trad E8 outdoors This challenge: Climb 8a indoors onsight E5 1: Focus on technique Drills, strength endurance training climbing up to 5 days a week with as much outdoor experience as possible Measurement: Log training & climbing days and record micro-gains. 2: Take part in the summer bouldering and climbing league Measurement: Enter each new round and fully commit to placing highly 3: Focus and shoulder weaknesses and increasing flexibility and core strength development Measurement: Reduce the level of chicken winging and increase shoulder movement Side Quest, Long term: become debt free become a qualified physiotherapist 1: Shift focus of saving towards returning to uni and paying old debts 2: Don't impulse buy 3: Double minimum repayment when bill comes Motivation: To focus on being the best i can be whilst being patient with the process of where i want to be. I'm new to nerdfitness but love the idea of quests and setting manageable ways to level up and record and achieve the process. I will post updates regularly.
