  1. I'm sick stupid spring weather changes! Wasn't up to yoga yesterday but i might try some gentle yoga for when you are unwell (NO DOWNWARD DOG FOR ME ) Also giant freakin spider in my house yesterday. Every time I think I'm over my fear of spiders one has to jump out at me and prove I'm wrong. I've started to clear things out. Declutter my life. clearing out emails and unsubscribing from crap. Clearing liked pages and 'friends' from fb. I feel like I'm making room to breathe.
  2. Billie has started joining me for yoga but it mostly involves her trying to see how high she can climb me while I'm doing it. I love it. It's reminding me to enjoy the experience instead of have it as a chore. I'm also sticking to the plan so super pleased with myself there. We caught up with a good friend and his fiance yesterday which Billie loved. She is such a sociable child which is bizarre as my husband and I are quite shy. I've written next week meal plan as well. Time to order the groceries Nothing makes me happier then having my shopping delivered. We live quite close to farms so the veg is delivered, then i get the supermarket delivery for canned stuff and milk, then I get the free range butcher to deliver our meat. So much easier with a toddler!
  3. Been super busy at work so haven't worked out may grading yet. Hopefully today. Day 3 here. So far so good. read the bible last night (with a toddler on my head), stuck to the meal plan (with the help of gorgeous husband who actually cooked!!!), got my yoga on! Some unexpected money has come to me too so we can get some of the dirt this week monday woooo!! I was going to go see the maya the bee movie today but its only on over the weekend when i work so i have to think of soemthing to do the next 2 days. ideas? maybe the zoo but its going to be very hot!
  4. Thank Taijibum and I am eve. It sucks but I am trying to remember that life continues despite. So I should too. I always forget about grading! I'll have to figure it out and edit Day one for me. It's the 10th here in Australia and I've done my yoga. nice and refreshing, especially when Billie tires to 'help'. She's nearly 2 and just hilarious.
  5. Hey Teri! So excited to be following you this challenge. Your goals sound as awesome as you are!
  6. I was supposed to start this challenge with excitement and strength and good news. Instead my heart has been broken again. I’ve lost another baby and am feeling utterly defeated. As well as this Next year hold much uncertainty about my job. I will still have a job but where and doing what is out of my hands and in those of upper management because of huge structural changes going on. So I’ve come to the druids for nourishment and recuperation. Motivation: My daughter. Always my daughter. To be a good role model for her and be able to give her an awesome childhood. Goal: to increase my energy and decrease my migraines. To find joy in my body again (vague I know but I can’t put my finger on it more than that) Quest one: Read Gods word. Every day. No exception. Write down what he is telling me. I feel most alive when I am with Him. I feel connected, loved and whole. I need to work on this connection so much. I have a diary by my bed I can write in all ready and the bible on my phone so no excuses. Quest two: write a meal plan and stick to it. I do this but I don’t stick to it and eat out way too much (I’ve been using a budget app recently that has highlighted this to me). At the moment the quality of food I have isn’t the focus but making a plan and sticking to it. Better food can come later. Quest three: Move every day. I love yoga with adriene. It’s getting hot here in Australia and I’m very pale and there are snakes around here so going outside won’t always be an option but a 20min yoga video is doable. Bonus for getting my daughter in on it with me. Quest four: work towards getting my landscaping finished THREE DAMN YEARS!! We got ripped off and money stolen from us a few years ago and then we had a baby so no money anymore! I need to find the steps to do this Order more dirt, fill in in retaining wall Another layer of stones Front retaining wall Fill in with dirt Set up vege patch Set up chicken runIf I can get 1 and 2 done I’ll be so happy. Quest five: do something fun with Wilhelmina every week. I do full time shift work as a nurse and am not always a very fun mum. I am tired or need to get the housework done (my awesome husband tries but he isn’t very organised). I need to take the time to focus solely on her and I at least once a week. Go out, do something, enjoy it. I know this seems like a lot but they are tiny goals really. Things I already do but not with any focus.
  7. Its been a busy week. I get to end this challenge on such a high! big BIG BIIIIIIIIIIIIG news but I cant share just yet.
  8. wonderful insights thanks Teri. <3 im finding im running out of steam the closer i get to the end of the challenge. 6 weeks is a really long time! how do you keep your focus and energy?
  9. So question: how do you get fit/eatbetter/ lose weight. without falling into unhealthy thought patterns? It seems everywhere you go you are told you need a 'bikini body' that its time to 'tone u' or that you dont want to be 'embarassed at the beach'. umm......? My stretch marks arent going anywhere nor do I want them to. Even if I work out every minute of everyday and have a strict paleo diet my hips will ALWAYS be much bigger than my bust, my tummy will have some saggy skin and stretch marks from baby making and my boobs are always going to be different sizes. I feel a bit brainwashed that I cant start eating better and working out without falling into the abnormal guilty feelings for having a treat. I guess its just up to me working through it in my own mind but jeez its hard with all the messages in the media. /endrant
  10. ha ha been so nice being able to do the grocery shopping without timing it for when i can leave her with the husband. National nutrition week has really reminded me how many more vegetables i need to be eating!risotto for dinner tonight before nightshift. yummy carbs to keep me awake!
  11. I'm so glad God has held you in his hand this far and know he will be walking with you in your recovery
  12. YAY! my daughter is no longer infectious lol. I've been so grumpy being stuck at home and not able to socialise! HAPPY NATIONAL NUTRITION WEEK!!! (australia) My husband has been amazing this week supporting good eating habits. So proud of him. Nutrition Australia published a meal plan that I'm following. Its filling me up heaps. I cant even eat all the food on it! Next week will be a week of left overs I think Home made freezer food is the bomb. Sorry for being quiet. I get moody when trapped in the house!
  13. My daughter has German measles! My goodness! She's immunised but apparently it didn't take. So she's house bound. Which means other than shopping and work I'm houawvound. Very depressing. My eating has been great but exercise not so much. I just can't believe my daughter caught a disease that's practically gone.
  14. what an awful week. My daughter was so sick. SHe's lost weight and I've been super stressed. So last week was a write off. This week is begining to look better! Health seems to be returning and I have time to do things.
  15. ha ha ha SICK sister. oops! No movement this week yet. just been too sic k, too tired, too busy. Last night my daughter slept 6 1/2 hours. the best we've had in 2 weeks. on a rotating roster of tylenol (i think thats what you guys call paracetamol) and brufen (no idea what thats called in the US. anti inflamatory over the counter pain relief). but then the husband was up all night vomiting. I am super impressed in my eating. I even turned down stuff at a work meeting (our meetings are just small parties really ha ha)
  16. Sick baby. Sick husband. Dick sister. Sick me (but I'm bottom of importance eh?) Sigh. This mum gig is hard work this week!
  17. for mini 2 so just put what we achieve each day here or you just want a total at the end f the week?
  18. I used to run but I'm encouraging it to be a family thing so just walking with the husband and toddler in the pram. I'm thinking next challange of running with him while the husband walks with WIlhelmina. He's a jack russel type thing so enjoys sprints. he is also getting old and lazy ha ha ha all the energy at the start and none by the time we get home (bit like me really!)
  19. HIIIIIIIIIII CANDI!!!! everyone meet my big sister (by 6 whole minutes) who introduced me to nerd fitness! week one complete! WAHOO! Food: one none home made meal. Exercise:complete. 3 bw and 3 dog walks! Bible: every day except one. still pretty good! Mini challenge complete!
