  1. The mission updates were lost until a ranger runner found me in a quaint and bustling village to deliver the news in person.

The Jotun! Great Scott! We're going to have to plan our strategy carefully. I'll make preparations en route to the rendezvous.* Keep your eyes sharp, Rangers!

[speed: pack lunches daily! An amplified version of my regular goal]

  2. Orange Theory Thursday went off without a hitch. I didn't get to work on my cross stitch or park furthest away because l was home with a sick kid.

Today was a lot better, I have 6 flights of stairs and I'm in track to hit my 6k step goal. Water is on point... I still need to take my meds, update my bullet journal, and did my therapy before bed. 909627f11c840cfdd701c96b91b99e25.jpg953c7339cd48c69dec494e6dcf561fc2.jpg

  4. Parked furthest away today, too, despite it being cold enough for sun dogs. Hubs made breakfast at home, but I was still hungry, so I had an egg sandwich. I had a Bel Vita biscuit for lunch with left over oat meal.

I need way more sleep. 1a0b7b2cc996ff302468bb145f213a1f.jpg

I can figure it out if I have something to lay it on, not so much hanging in the air.  I guess that means more practise this week!  And scouts have mad skills. [emoji4]  We only had brownies/girl guides here for girls and they had us do dumb things like string art.  No wilderness adventures at all.

Feat Completed! Yesterday I did the waterfront fitness trail!* I did all of the available** exercise stations, and enjoyed the beautiful view around me.

Then I got home and realized I lost my driver's license somewhere on the trail, so I went BACK*** and walked the whole trail again to retrace my steps... cuz I'm... all about the bonus rounds! (Yeah, that's it.) And this time it included a jaw-dropping sunset. So I'll take that as a signal that I was on the right track.

    * I live in California and it was 55F. Sorry to everyone who is freezing right now.  ** Two of the stations were swarmed with children treating it as a jungle gym, so I skipped those, but I made up for it with a few extra rounds of push-ups.  *** I did not find my ID. DMV appt has been made. I'll survive.
The thief stole your ID! Don't let them get away with the Hype and your license! [emoji44]

  7. oh

well its a great idea.  my only prob is that normally its dark when I get a chance to walk...
    even in summer.

    we'll see what happens.

perhaps I can photo a place during a lunch walk and then do the longer more rigorous walk later that night.
I half thought of photos a few times last challenge...

I'm kind of a shutter bug, I enjoy posting pictures ^_^

And yeah, this is our outdoor week. Brr!

  8. It's painfully obvious who is living in the NE and who is in warmer climates, based on the outdoors feat. [emoji6]

Strength Feat: Dig out the weights and actually use them for two different workouts.  I'm generally too lazy to dig out and build out my BBs and DBs, so I just stick to bodyweight stuff.
Speed Feat:  Piano practice for at least 3 hours over the week (hey... my fingers move very fast, so it counts [emoji6] ).  I've fallen out of the habit of playing, and I need to fall back into it.
Distance Feat: Actually finish my workouts for the week, and don't just bail out when I get bored or tired.  If I set out to do a 60 minute yoga video, then do the whole damn thing.  If I set out to do darebee, then do all of the sets.
Combat Feet: Cardio kickboxing workouts 2x.  I need more cardio in my life, anyway.
Rangerly Outdoorsy Feat: Take down the outdoor xmas decorations.  Also, bundle up and willingly subject myself to the freezing cold for a 10 minute walk every day.  If I end up having to shovel snow (which looks likely), that can count in place of a walk.

Since we're already on the outdoors feat, looks like I'll be bundling up and walking today.  It should be up to 20 degrees F by noon.  :cold:
    Combat feet :-P

Sooo, I Googled this because I didn't know what it was; and apparently in Swedish culture, the lingonberry's antioxidant properties are supposed to be so strong that it neutralizes the harmful effects of ultraviolet light on skin ... no idea if that's true, but I'm very curious now!  [emoji4]  They call them "mountain cranberries", "partridge berries," "cowberries," or "whortleberries" in other parts of the world, apparently. I wonder if my local fancy-shmancy organic food store sells any??
    .... I believe Ikea has it ^_^

Stribs stops to help her pull on her gear.  "Glad to have you, you have perfect timing."
*stuffs hand into mittens that Stribs is holding at the ready, then accepts a drink from the barkeep*

    Dh wh ah ah trh?*

*roughly: do we have a trail?

I wouldn't bother putting that on the coat rack, and make sure the barkeep gives you a togo cup. We have a thief to find!
*Aminarra smacks her forehead in an inelegant show of exasperation.*

Barkeep? Could l have a glass of hot lingonberry juice? It's perfect for taking the chill out of my bones... uh, to go, please.

*hops on one foot while pulling off her boot so that she can layer wool socks under her knee highs, then goes through the motions to bundle right up again*
