  1. Hello everyone! So I've got no idea if anyone on this site remembers me, but I did complete my first challenge a while ago :3 Then life happened and I disappeared from the interwebz for a while. But I'm back now and ready to rock! Main quest: I'm planning on trying out for the Finnish Rapid Deployment Force in 2016 and I seriously need to work to pass the physical tests. And even if I do pass those, I want to be in good enough shape to not be the last in everything So lots of running around it is. I don't even like running all that much but what can you do. --- So I see people here have all these cool themes and generally awesome and motivating starts. Unfortunately I'm too lazy for the pretties so I'm just going to be the over enthusiastic fitness nerd with no cool theme, yeah "Let the actions speak louder than... cool threads?" Or something like that anyway! I really don't know what else to add so lets go straight to the goals! 1. Push-ups: I'm following this real fancy 30 day challenge that tells me I should manage 50 push-ups by the end of it. Which frankly seems unrealistic. But still, push ups! I'm going to do some daily and let's see how many I can do at the end of six weeks. Going to try what my limit is now in good form... Okay so right now it's magnificent 6! I'm going to trust I develop super powers and manage and bet I'll manage 25 in the end. Want to place your own bet, leave a comment down below! The one who guesses closest receives a free interwebz hug! 2. Running: I tried to figure out some imaginative name for this goal but it seems like impossibility. I don't even like running? Don't ask me why I used to like it as a kid. But yeah. I need to do it :/ The awesome six week program that the Finnish military has crafted tells me I need to do this fancy J-something running 2 times a week. I'll see if I'm going to add what that means or if I'll just write down if I did manage to go for my runs. We shall see :3 3. Pull up: It was my goal in the first challenge and it didn't work out at all. Probably won't manage to make it during these six weeks either but that doesn't mean I won't do my damnest to try! Life Goal: Keep my room clean. It shouldn't be so hard. But it is. Oh dear lord it is. Don't ask me why, it makes no sense. What is it with keeping rooms clean? Seriously! --- So basically that's my challenge in a nutshell! If I missed something important feel free to tell me And comment about whatever if you feel like it. I do love myself some social interaction

  3. Yup, you could say that again xD And yeah, I've already seen progress that I'm pretty sure no one else has noticed. And it's really motivating to just notice these little things in your body changing thanks to your own hard work Definitely not feeling bad about anything even if I don't reach my goals since I'm moving forwards anyway
  4. So I just read through all what I've missed here and sounds like you've had a blast! Makes me really want a small vacation somewhere away from the hectic city life Also you've managed to keep up with your workouts admirably! Great job
  5. Oh my God Arya you have your birthday one day earlier than me! Happy birthday! (to both of us!!) And umm a bit of alcohol and junk food to celebrate with isn't bad at all. My celebration kind of might have maybe gone for 3 days, depending on how you see it xD But christ, you don't know how much it motivates me to do a killer workout when I come here and see the insanity-ness of what you've managed! I've said this before and will say again: You rock
  6. Ahahaha hi ^^" Been away from computer for a while so no posts from me, sorry for tat But ummm since my last post I haven't managed a 'real' workout since I've been away from home in... Pretty much everywhere xD But since I've been hanging out with my friends, lots of running around, biking (My travel ticket thingy ran outta time and I don't have money to recharge it so lots of biking). played a bit of tennis and basketball and did lots of 'No, no but can you do THIS?' with my more competitive friends So ummm I've been active but nothing that you can really mark down in here ... And since Hazard posted my goals here, ooooops. I think I'm going to gracefully fail them all ^^" (I might have a chance with the run. God, I hope so, I don't want to fail everything!!!)

You too Ahaha, yeah it was kind of flattering But I'm still happier that I managed to make this into just being friends ^^" xDDD Well better way to say it is I accidentally accepted a date since I'm clueless when it comes to these things xD But still thank you for the compliment! I don't even know how to answer! *blush* Mmmm, well. I'm planning on trying to get into Finnish Rapid Development Forces and it's going to be hell to pass the test there, it being special forces and all ^^" But since the whole reason that I want to go to the army is to hopefully get to work with the United Nations peacekeeping... Well. Let's just say I really wish I can get in there Thanks Arya You are pretty awesome yourself too
  9. Gah I'm sorry I haven't been here for a while! Long story short: freaked out about date, friends were trying to be helpful and life got stressful :/ So no workout for me before yesterday. But! Umm I think I've managed to turn my date into not date. Maybe? I don't know I'll find out today when I actually go to the movies. God, it's hard to say no to people. So so! Yesterdays workout! I found out there's this army type obstacle course pretty nearby our home and my step dad drove the whole family there The course was made so that 2 people could compete at the same time so we timed it all and raced against everyone else in the family I got the worst time out of my family but that's to be expected, I guess. My brother and sister compete in big track and field competitions (they've both been on TV!!) And my step dad bikes to work all year round so... Well. Still. All this being said I'm going to have to train harder to manage the course better in the future so I can feel like a champion But yeah. I had a couple of off days so I need to get back to an active routine. Today I'm going to walk about 10 km's to get to the movies and back and tomorrow I'm going to go help my granny wash her carpets. Might also go and help one of our family friends with moving his stuff. No better exercise than helping people, right?
  10. Omg Leothil I'm just so jealous again! The island sounds like a paradise And taking a rest day once in a while is okay, especially on vacation. Sometimes you just need to have it easy and just enjoy life for a while!
  11. Yesterday- Maybe week 4, Day something So yesterday was a forced rest day ^^" I went to celebrate my early birthday and... Yeah. My step dad took me to the place by car which was great! But it also meant that I didn't realize that we were outside Helsinki, which meant that no public transport for me, so I had to walk back home ^^" No idea how long I walked but that God there were 2 nice guys and another girl who left at the same time. It wouldn't have been too great idea to walk around at 4am alone xD So yeah. I was ready to sleep around 5 am and when I woke up it was to a terrible hangover and I also smoked way too much. So I just spent the day feeling sorry for myself. But it was my (early) birthday party!!! I don't feel bad for celebrating, I had a great time also I think I accidentally got a date and I'm freaking out xD And ummm today I went and filled this Mars Mars test that then created a program for me to follow so I would be in shape for army. It was the second hardest program they have there but I'm weirded out because it's so much easier than what I thought it would be D: This week is supposed to be 30 minutes run, then rest day, then light stretching, then rest day... etc. D: So far my runs have been minium 45 minutes and I feel great the next day so what. Just what. Just gonna go ahead and try out the hardest exercise thing they have, this is ridiculous xD I'm sorry, this might be the longest post I've ever written here O.o I guess I'm feeling chatty Thank you! And it really wasn't as simple as it looked xD I'm so excited to try and get better results! Thank you! And yeah, upper body strength is the hardest for me :/ Still so excited about the planks tho! Awwws, it looks like core exercises are my speciality atm so don't feel bad if you aren't managing them as well as I am. I'm sure you can do more push ups than I can xD Still thank you so much!
  12. Thanks And I don't know, fitness wise being restless and having trouble focusing is actually a blessing. When it comes to school tho? Not so much xD Week 4 Day 5 (I think I might maybe have the wrong day here but oh well xD) ​So! Today I tried the angry birds workout! I swear to god, it looked so simple. And now I'm dying Umm I should prolly post my reps here because I think I'll manage to loose them on the paper version xD Squats: 30, 24 Push ups 19, 12 Back exercises: 18 (both hands), 12 (-II-) Plank: 60s, 60s Ummm overall I'm pretty disappointed D: My upper body strength is way worse than I thought it'd be (I did so much better reps before I got sick oh my god) Still ! I managed 60s plank two times in a row! That has never happened before!! I don't know what I've been doing to my core but whatever it is, it's working xD

  14. Great that you managed to level up in your workout! You're making me want to try it too Aslo 1:30 on a plank is amazing already, I can barely manage 50 seconds!
  15. Hi Hazori! I'm a bit late here but welcome to NF and great to have you join the challenge! I know what it's like to not be able to gain any weight no matter how much you eat :/ But I've managed to get one kg more of solid weight during this challenge only by just working out like a madman Have you decided what sort of strength training you're thinking of doing? Also, rest days are important too so doing workout everyday might not be so good for your body!
