  1. Thanks so much for the encouragements- I'm going to stick with this!
  2. Hi hmaitken, I was about to post pretty much the same question! I'd also love to be able to follow a flexibility routine. I'm in a similar situation; I'm hyper flexible but all the stretches I know no longer seem to do anything for me. The only thing I've started doing is putting blocks under my feet while doing the splits. I usually do some sort of half baked stretching routine that always includes pigeon poses, lunges, forward bends (seated and/or standing) and then side splits and front splits. When i remember to, I also stretch my shoulders with a variety of yoga poses... I'm sure I'm missing a lot of muscles- and so if anyone has suggestion please do let me know =)
  3. Hi Phobucket, Good luck with your first challenge!! I'm also starting today and I have the same problem as you; early quitter. I hope we both stick with this =D
  4. Hello all, I'm so excited to be starting this challenge! I'm hoping that tracking my progress here will help me keep sight of my goals, since loosing track seems to be my biggest weakness when starting something new. i'm 23 years old and I work as a secretary 4 days a week. I recently ran out of money and have had to move back home with my parents after living out of home for about 2 years. It was a bit of an adjustment at first but things are falling into place nicely now. The thing is, my mother has been a little on the harsh side about my weight lately, and that has completely undone all of the confidence I had acquired while living on my own. I'm looking to gain back my confidence (and maybe even find some more), and since I've always wanted to become stronger, I thought there's no time like the present! Some background info: I've always been relatively healthy and active. For the past 6 months or so, I've been doing 4-6 hours of yoga per week, 2-3 hours of dancing per week and 2-4 hours of walking or hiking per week (although a couple weeks ago I stopped walking due to a minor injury). I recently became a vegetarian and I'm hoping to transition to full vegan (I watched the documentary 'earthling' and it completely shattered me). I also follow intermittent fasting, which I absolutely love. Main quest: To become stronger and more confident! To achieve this, in the next 6 weeks I will: - do the beginner body weight workout 3 times a week (I have shockingly bad upper body strength, so I'm hopping this will put me on the right track) - Start walking to work again (once a week for the 1st three weeks and twice a week for the next three) - Stop eating animal products completely (I'm still learning to check labels and finding out how to acquire proper nutrition) Life quest: To go back to university and study film making! I really need to get off my butt and go and look at courses so I can start working towards my dream job. Well, wish me luck! =D
