  1. Holy schmoley. That is awesome! Congrats on evey beastie front!
  2. Sounds like the transition from summer to the fall as a teacher (without the teenage trainers). Congrats on getting the hang of it! The short commute and the paycheck will help ease the pain of day 5!
  3. Yikes! Hopefully not too late! Hope tomorrow is a bit smoother for you.
  4. Congrats on a great week! I hope you had a great time at your bachelor party!
  5. So- today was to be my Friday of Beastieness. Where I would complete cardio warm-up and two circuits of the Academy tutorial workout. Then, with three minutes left on the elliptical an 11" ninja came up and stabbed me in the left calf. There has been much icing, ibuprofening, and WebMDing and the crap still hurts. I can walk and it and only hurts if I try to walk up steps but-- I am worried. Of course, I still did the circuit because it did not seem to cause an extra pain- although having to take a knee while I got enough energy to complete the lunges was a blow. Vegetable consumption has been fair this week 3/5 days but I have not left the house much. Any advice is welcome and appreciated. Hope everyone else is having a great week!
  6. I hope that your week is going better. You're are hardly whining! Everyday you move forward- in one way or another- that's is something to be proud of.
  7. Thank you! I will certainly do so. It gave me a boost to see the term "Adventurer"- for when I successfully finish this challenge successfully that's where I'm heading!
  8. That might be the most beautiful, inspirational thing I've ever seen. Thanks!
  9. Fingers crossed on the job interview! I am sure you will rock it- those kids will be lucky to have you.
  10. I could not help but laugh at "People, zumba is hard" because I can share that sentiment about almost all the exercising I'm doing. However, what is more important and impressive is that you are trying out new stuff- which I think is awesome. Give yourself a little time and you'll need to invest in one of those hip wraps that jingle. I I am sorry to hear about your partners current, temporary, job woes but I am glad that you've been able to capture some quality time together. I hope you are having another great week!

  12. jofalltrades I thought I had planned a summer of no PD an instead I would relax and focus on my health but my new principal had other ideas. I'm sure you know how that is. How long will it take to get your certification? I can totally understand the excitement of learning new skills and getting to work with students in a different capacity.
  13. Gingered- you are quite right. Last week was my first week exercising in a while. I'm trying to do things slowly so eating changes came first. Thanks for reminding me of that.
  14. Thank you so much for all of your support and motivation. It is hard to loose site of that I not think that you're doing a crappy job at everything all at once. I will try to reframe it for this week.
