  1. And last night the RC tasted too good...so I am back to day 1. We still have a 2 liter left...ugh. Tea will not cut it but I am tired of being tempted when we have it around and feeling like I have no choice because I know I will give in. However: I have quickly realized that although it is not a daily thing for me I do still have a hard hard hard time not drinking it when offered or around.
  2. and then popping onto here more than daily mile so I may do the down and dirty numbers and notes here and daily mile when convenient. LOL I rarely post strength there. Thanks! I love seeing just how much you are walking. Holy Moly Batman! Hows the blisters?
  3. Read your movement from yesterday and snorted again. Kiddo looked at me like I was nuts. Too funny. I would say dinner was a better food choice than the other option. I am sure you are ready to stop feeling like this... ...and crawl out of your cave.
  4. just crazy posting on my part..so my first post was not complete and came through my accidental second post was supposed to be my first post and then my third post not seeing the incomplete first was mistaken by me to be the double post but it was the triple post. Confused? I am. LOL
  5. run smack smack run smack smack...all skeletal rogues down. May not have been my best foot chase but I was persistent with my one handed weapon for all but 10. For the first 10 I had my 2 handed weapon...I was happy to drop down to a one handed and do the extra swing each time. Should be able to get more swings in tomorrow.

I was not athletic but I was a hiker and worked a lot on my feet. To suddenly go to crawling upstairs was hard to deal with. I understand that with my RA I am fortunate in that things are going okay for the most part. No meds and home remedies work at the moment. Took a couple years to get there but I got there. Even managed a hm in the meantime and all that fun. The worst words from my rheumatologist were "call when you need us again" but the best words were " you do not need xyz med's anymore...good job and you do not need a follow up right now". I can not imagine being that athletic and then having it hit. What bothered me most was not so much crawling up the stairs but having to tell my toddler "mommy can't do xyz tonight" after using all I had to get through a stupid work day. Nutrition helps so much not with just weight but how your body will manage things. Have you sorted if certain foods aggravate the RA? I know sodium was not my friend. Anything that caused swelling just made things harder to move. You know today is a rough day for other reasons physically and a bit of a mental challenge too. I did not get my strength in this morning because I moved from the couch to workout and pinched a nerve in my shoulder. I mean my husband had to help me put on a bra and shirt and my daughter brushed my hair because it hurt to move so bad. It is a little better but still hurts with certain movements. Then I was tempted at lunch to eat and relax so no run yet. I was even going to ditch the bike. Reading your stuff has motivated me to suck it up. So I will run part way home to get the run in I needed. It may not be the best run I can do but I will definitely put in my all. I will strength train and then hop on the bike before dinner. Thanks! I so agree with her!
  10. Now you have me curious about your new project. Your walking mileage has really been fantastic to watch! For more calories how about fruits? They do offer more calories but also fiber and vitamins along with minerals. Easy to carry for walks.

Ouch. Hope you feel better soon. Nothing like a good chest cold to help keep you from smoking and hopefully it is not a chest cold though.
  12. I ended up so distracted last night I forgot about the schedule because I forgot to put in on a list for me to do. LOL Will work on it this weekend if not tonight.
  13. Love the movement description for the 13th! That made me laugh. I bet you are bouncing back since you got plenty of rest.
  14. I love Talking Heads. I do believe while working in the labs today I will put on some of their music. It feels like a Talking Heads kind of day. Still not feeling great and was hurting by the end of the day but I did enjoy some walking. Many reminders about the coworkers that recently passed and all kinds of things going on and all I know I needed to run or bike and just go however long I needed to go which was not an option yesterday. I talked to kiddo on my way home and realized I needed to get home and help her see she can do math even if it is 5 digits and division. LOL Anyway I did take time walking a bit extra home but finally caught the bus so I could get home sooner to help her. Plus I was hurting some so maybe that was a good thing. Then we took the easy way out for dinner and ate mindlessly. Yeah regretting that this morning still. If I get moving shortly I will be able to knock out strength before work. I need to get a run in and some bike miles today. Very busy day at work today and to top it off I have 2 people coming to see me for some assistance. Tomorrow will be another run maybe, definitely bike, and cross training with the sledgehammer. Sunday is a run day and more strength work.
  15. That is exactly what I was thinking. Now to combine it with your love of xc skiing then it is a year round sport. Is there an advantage of one way over another in making the sling? The first looked a bit easier to me to make. Then again it is 4:20am and my brain is not quite there yet. LOL I would love to do archery especially making my own bow someday but the sling looks easier to do in a park if you have an open area since you do not need the space needed for archery. Definitely would like to see pictures of your sling(s).
  16. Okay I am just catching up again on your challenge. I love reading it. I had the thought you could create a new sport combining rucking and sling. Just saying you could have both interests going strong.
  17. I have a question. Do you find planks boring and just hard to hold? Mentally they drive me nuts. You are doing great and through it all seeing improvements. Fantastic.
  18. Hope you had an amazing birthday. Happy belated birthday!! That picture is awesome. Maple bacon...mmmmmmmm
  19. Today is subdued which is fine. I should get 3-4 miles of walking. Not feeling great but am at working getting tasks completed so that feels good. Other than walking today is completely off of other activities. I feel strange not doing ANYTHING.

You are going strong! Glad you love the new knife. Seemingly little things like that can make you feel empowered and old tasks not feel insurmountable. For me the best mental shift (not that you have this issue) was instead of focusing on what I could not do or what hurt, I would focus on what I can do and then find ways that allow me to get done what I want to do. Suddenly can not do became I can do it if I am smart about it. It became a game of finding ways to getting things done including working on nutrition that is optimal for me. It was a puzzle begging to be solved. Getting a good knife was being very smart. Bike miles indoors are better than none at all. I have to do some indoors too. Hey it means getting it done then it is a good thing. Just another tool in your arsenal of awesome.

That is great! Only 2 yesterday. You got this. You certainly do not want your new room mates to smell smoke on your clothes and stuff. Nicodemon, love that. You are right about it being a liar.
