  1. Weighed in. Measured my wobbly bits and have started!! Today was a fast day, breaking fast in half an hour or so......and I did it, to the best of my ability, the beginners body weight workout! Third rep was v messy. It's a start.....it will get better!
  2. Hi! I'm from the West Midlands, based half the week in Stafford, half in Nuneaton!! Excited about starting my first challenge!
  3. 18ck - thanks for the replies! It looks like my guild choice may become more obvious over time!!! Funny you should mention the planning, spent last night's shift mapping out the next six weeks, when I will do what, alongside rest days and shifts. There is one week I will not be able to swim twice (due to logistics) so have put an extra swim the week before and an extra workout that week! All listed out, I have no excuses!! Working tonight, so shall weigh and measure in the wee hours, for the first time ever, I'm excited to start on the road to the new me! PS I've not long turned 42 - it would appear I am actually the meaning of life!!

  5. Hi! Thanks for the warm welcomes! On my phone, so difficult to name check. With regards to giving up bread - I fast two days a week already, so it's just a case of sorting the other five - one day a week cut back til it's gone, I think. A bit nervous, because it's my 'go to' snack (and there's plenty around at work) Swimming - have membership to pool, have costume - so ready to roll!! My biggest fear is my nightshifts, I work three nights a week, so sometimes my days all roll into one, and before you know it the week is over!! Going to keep a journal to try and keep on track!!
  6. Hi RachaelAgnes here, Have recently been discharged from hospital, overweight, old and now asthmatic!! Used to enjoy exercise and looking good - then 20 years happened! My main quest for this challenge is to lose 10-12lb My missions during this quest are: - to do the beginner body work out twice a week - by the end of the quest to have stopped eating bread - to swim at least twice a week. My life quest is to get to a body weight and fitness level that improves my overall health - but especially my asthma! I have looked at the guilds quickly, and the Druids would seem to be my best fit at the moment. Good luck to everyone!
