  1. Thanks for the comment Yesterday was a good day too, accomplished my goal and progressed in my music assignments ^^ Just went jogging and ready to work now, I hope to post a new music in 1 or 2 days
  2. Alrighty then, yesterday I wrote this challenge, without being sure that it would help. Well, today went really well, I woke up early and fast and went jogging (although I felt kind of sick at half the distance planned, so I went back earlier , first time it happened to me ). I had also a productive day for making music, I have already the main ideas for the next piece and some the sounds I will use ^^ I tried to just unplug the Internet access from my computer for the time I wanted to focus on composing without distraction and it actually really helped! So, I'll continue using that method tomorrow. Anyways, all my goals fullfilled for the day. Hoping to keep doing the same in the next few days, although I know that it's usually easier in the beginning of a challenge, since the motivation is high. I'll keep my discipline and try to get some kind of routine going ^^
  3. Alright, hello everyone! It’s been awhile >.> Sorry xD I had started last year (!) using this site for challenges, which went pretty well , but I just gave up when school started back, I did kept some of the habits I acquired during last summer, but I haven’t been really consistent and I’m not satisfied about my current life. I feel kind of lost right now. I don’t have a job, since I wanted to have time during this summer to work on music, build up a decent quantity of music of different styles, and learn new technology I could use to compose. This work would be in order to get contracts as a professional music composer, and I would like to start looking during next fall while continuing studying for my music degree. Well, that’s my plan, but I think I have real problems towards procrastination and lack of discipline. (any tips are always appreciated ^^) Also, my girlfriend left me a 2 weeks ago, so I haven’t felt my best these days.. Anyways, I’m considering joining this challenge (1 week late but better now than never ^^), hopefully it’ll give me some kind of discipline and motivation! Also, I feel like talking to people would help me haha. That’s pretty much my situation right now. So what, do I want to improve? I want some kind of physical activity almost daily, like last summer, which means a mix of jogging and dumbbell workouts. I want to be more disciplined and really keep up with my schedule, because I’ve been skipping workouts a lot these days. My sleeping patterns have really been messed up during the school year, I find it really hard to maintain it during the school year, but I really want to stop snoozing for 1 hour each morning, because it’s such a bad habit. I had succeeded last year, so I think I can get this habit back. Last year, I also had a part about food habits, but I’ve been pretty much eating to same, eating mostly healthy and simple meals, so I don’t see the point of having a goal in that aspect again. ^^ In summary, I just want to get some discipline back and basic healthy habits. I’ll split my quest in 3 parts then : 1 for jogging, 1 for strength workouts, 1 for sleeping habits. For my life quest, I’m obviously gonna have to go with my career path and being productive this summer. I’m not sure how I’m gonna measure it up though… I had done some kind of schedule for the summer and chosen approximative days to plan how I should progress during summer. So, towards the end of the challenge, if I look at my plan, I would need about 10-15 compositions in different styles, but I’m not even sure if that is possible haha. I’m not sure how I should go about measuring the progress in this aspect, or if I should try new methods to beat my habit of procrastination (wasting too much time on the Internet, Facebook, video games, movies, etc…). Any tips for avoiding procrastination would always be appreciated. ^^ Anyways, I’ll stop writing here and present my challenge for now, I might edit it for the discipline habit I want to get (maybe add it in the main quest or something) Main quest : Get myself back together! Quest 1 : Physical habits 1 (STA) Keep the habit of 3 jogging sessions per week. 3 x ~30 min jogging per week Grades will depend on total number of training sessions completed. A: 14/15 B: 13/15 C: 12/15 D: 11/15 F: Less than 10 Quest 2 : Physical habits 2 (STR) Keep the habit of 3 dumbbell workout sessions per week. 3 x basic strength workout at home with dumbbells Grades will depend on total number of training sessions completed. A: 14/15 B: 13/15 C: 12/15 D: 11/15 F: Less than 10 Quest 3 : Sleeping habits (WIS) Keep the habit of avoiding snoozing too long, and wake up in under 5 min. after alarm rings. Grades will depend on total number of days with the sleeping schedule respected. A: 33/35 B: 31/35 C: 29/35 D: 27/35 F: Less than 25 Life quest (WIS) : For this challenge, I really want to improve my productivity, mostly towards my career goals in music. I was unsure about how to go about setting specific measurable goals for this. Maybe I should count the number of productive days? (like assigning a period of, let’s say, 8h per day like a real job, and making sure I respect it) Or maybe make a list of what work I want accomplished before the end of this challenge and try to fulfill all objectives? Grades will depend on ? A: ? B: ? C: ? D: ? F: ? So, basically, for this challenge, I'm trying to get back a little discipline and my life, with a basic routine for physical activity, better sleeping patterns, and hopefully more discipline towards my career goals. That's about it, I'll try to keep updating as much as I can on the progression of this challenge! By the way, I'm happy of trying myself at getting back in this community, and hoping to meet some new people Looking forward to continue growing up in life!
  4. Alright, I feel bad for not updating this thread :S Actually, my motivation has been really low for this challenge, and I haven't been able to keep up with my goals. I started trying handstands for 5 days but didn't enjoy it, so I stopped after that. For the rest (workouts/sleeping habits/eating habits), although I have been able to mostly respect the goals, I've missed maybe 1 week and a half in each goal (so maybe 10 points each), I had stop counting, so I don't know where I am now :S Also, I haven't been able to keep up with the habit of waking up faster except for the first 2 weeks and I had a major procrastination phase during the last 2 weeks. It might be because of one of my best friend moving away which has affected me a lot and also the stress of starting up a new degree at a new school really soon (first day for new students is wednesday!). In any case, I shouldn't try to find excuses and I think I should forget about how bad the last few weeks were, and try to go back with the first habits I had in mind during my first challenge (which went really well). So, for the 2 remaining weeks, my goal is to just follow the 3 basic habits I had at the beginning : - 6 workouts per week (jogging + dumbell workout) - Keep healthy eating habits, avoid bad meals/snacks - Keep good sleeping habits (sleep before 12:30 and wake up before 8:00 <-- changed it from 8:30 since I want to wake up a bit earlier) Exceptions for social event as always, I'll probably have 2-3 events in the next weeks with the beginning of school and for friends that are coming back from their vacation trip. I might also keep it as simple for the next challenge, since my routine will change a lot in the next few weeks with the beginning of a new degree in music composition, and I have know idea how much demanding it will be and how hard it will be to keep up with my habits. My main focus for now is to keep those habits simple to stay healthy a minimum, but mostly, I want to keep improving my productivity and remove as much as possible the bad habit I have to waste time on useless computer activities like video games/movies/tv series, in order to make the most out of this new school degree and to build a music portfolio at the same time. I will probably upload some music soon! That's about it, I'll focus on those habits for the next 2 weeks and I shall update at least once a week! I went jogging this morning, went to the grocery store to buy some good food and now, I'll get back to work, to finish my 2nd orchestral composition and to probably start another piece today! By the way, thanks for your comments everyone, even if I kind of drifted away during this challenge, it helped to put some pressure on me and to get me back on track!
  5. Main quest : Incorporate healthy habits and stay consistent with them in order to be a better person and to feel better in my life! Quest 1 : Physical habits (STR/STA) a ) Keep the habit of 6 training sessions per week, alternating between cardio and strength workouts. This goal stays the same as in my first challenge, for now. With hopes of keeping increasing jogging distance and dumbbells weight. 3 x ~30 min jogging per week 3 x basic strength workout at home with dumbbells Grades will depend on total number of training sessions completed. A: 35/36 B: 31/36 C: 27/36 D: 22/36 F: Less than 22 b ) Learn to handstand by practicing each day. I want to try new things, so I'm just adding this small goal for this challenge. Practicing 5 minutes a day. Grades will depend on total number of training sessions completed. A: 41/42 B: 37/42 C: 33/42 D: 28/42 F: Less than 28 Quest 2 : Eating habits (CON) Keep the habit of eating paleo and stay away from junk/sugary food and premade meals! Here I will not be penalized by what I eat when going out for occasional social event, it will only concern the meals that I have to plan by myself. Keeping the same goal as last challenge, I just want to keep this good habit in my life. Grades will depend on total number of days with healthy meals. A: 38/42 B: 34/42 C: 30/42 D: 26/42 F: Less than 26 Quest 3 : Sleeping habits (WIS) Keep the habit of going to bed early (max 12:30 AM) and of waking up early (before 8:30 AM) to have a productive day! Here also no penalty for the occasional social event where I will permit myself to sleep later if the event finishes late. For this challenge, I'm gonna make it harder by adding the goal of also waking up fast, within 5 min. max after my alarm rings. Grades will depend on total number of days with the sleeping schedule respected. A: 41/42 B: 38/42 C: 34/42 D: 28/42 F: Less than 28 Life quest (WIS) : For this challenge, I really want to improve my productivity, mostly towards my career goals in music. I was unsure about how to go about setting specific measurable goals for this. a ) I'll try checking the number of productive hours passed each day towards my music goals. I've installed RescueTime to check the number of time passed on each websites/software on my computer in order to have some data on the use of my time. For this objective, I'll count the number of productive days, which will be decided with my personal judgement and the help of RescueTime. I might modify a little this objective, depending of if I get a better idea. Grades will depend on total number of productive days towards my music goals A: 41/42 B: 38/42 C: 34/42 D: 28/42 F: Less than 28 b ) I'm also adding a to-do list for my music goals for this challenge. I might add more things during the challenge. - Design a personal website that I could use as a portfolio for the future - Finish the orchestral composition I started recently - Make an electroacoustic composition So, basically, for this challenge, I'm keeping the 3 habits of my first challenge and adding 3 new habits (handstands, waking up faster and the productivity aspect). That's about it, I'll try to keep updating at least weekly on the progression of this challenge! By the way, I'm happy to join the adventurer guild for this challenge and hoping to get to meet more of all of you during the following weeks. Looking forward to continue growing up in life!
  6. Hi everyone! Here's a summary of my first challenge : - Physical habits (STR/STA) : Do 3 strength workouts + 3 jogging workouts each week 36/36 --> A - Eating habits (CON) : Eating paleo and stay away from junk/sugary food and premade meals when eating at home 39/42 --> B - Sleeping habits (WIS) : Going to bed early (max 12:30 AM) and waking up early (before 8:30 AM) 34/42 --> C - Life quest (WIS) : Finish 3 good and usable music compositions 3/3 --> A You can read more on my challenge page, but in summary, I'm pretty satisfied of the result. I feel better in general, more proud of myself and have been able to keep the 3 healthy habits pretty consistent in my weekly routine. I think posting weekly and participating in this challenge is what gave me the motivation and the willpower to achieve those goals (almost perfectly) It was definitely helpful to talk about my objectives to people in order to be more disciplined in those habits! For the next challenge, I'll probably want to keep 3 similar habits as the first challenge and I wish to work on a more social aspect and a productivity aspect, since I have major flaws in those domain too. Not too sure how I could implement those in measurable challenge goals, but I'll keep thinking during this week... Anyways, congratulations to everyone for this first step towards awesomeness, and hoping to hear more from all of you soon!
  7. Hey! Posting is definitely a good motivation boost for me at least, helps me to reflect on how I've done so far and to remember what must be done in the next few days, although I have the same bad habit as you of not posting enough (I overthink way too much and it takes me too much time!). But, on the few times I did, I always felt a short term boost of motivation Anyways, glad to see you came back even after facing difficulties. Hoping to see your results and to hear from you for the next challenge!
  8. Thanks (although a birthday with the combination of the challenge ending is dangerous, I went into lazy mode since the last 2 days ) Trying to think about a social aspect I could add for my next challenge... Any suggestion as to how working on being more social could be implemented in a measurable habit for a challenge context here?
  9. Alright, time to review this first challenge! - Physical habits : 36/36 Missed no workout, probably did more, since some week I did 7 workouts, one each day. Although I missed some days during the 2 trips I had, but they were mostly in nature and it pretty much was equivalent to the workouts in some way. I'm really proud about maintaining this habit all the way. I never had done that for as long as 6 weeks. I took 2 days off yesterday and today, but continuing tomorrow, and I'm not giving up on those for sure! I do feel better and seem to look more in shape now. I also just realized I said I wanted to do 3 x 25 min. jogging, but at the end I was doing about 40 min. jogging without stopping. Started running a distance of about 3.5-4 km and I was doing 6.5 km last week. - Eating habits : 39/42 Here, I have been really eating healthy when at home and making food for myself. Only reason I lost points is when I was eating outside and that I did abuse a few times of some food that aren't that healthy. I don't wanna go as far as eating different food as friends/family when going out. I don't feel the need to be that consistent with my eating habits. As long as I learn to eat less when it happens and I definitely want to keep the same habits at home. I really feel better, and I stopped buying chips/cookies and eating way too much of those while watching movies, a bad habit I had started during last year. I should never buy those again and instead keep trying new food (meat and vegetables). - Sleeping habits : 34/42 For sleeping, I've been really consistent during the last weeks of the challenge. It was hard at the beginning to shift the sleeping hours, but now it became less demanding. Only had 1 minor setback this week (went sleeping 20 min. past the limit..). I still have to work on waking up fast when my alarm rings in the morning though, I often let it ring for 15-20 min. even if I still wake up before the limit I had for the challenge. - Life quest : 3/3 I completed the work I had planned to do for that part, although since I had finished a few days before the end, I became really unproductive after that. Here is the summary of the final results : - Physical habits (STR/STA) : 36/36 --> A - Eating habits (CON) : 39/42 --> B - Sleeping habits (WIS) : 34/42 --> C - Life quest (WIS) : 3/3 --> A Considering those results, I'll get +1 STR, + 1 STA, + 1 CON, + 1 WIS, and now level 2!! Only using 4 of the 5 attributes left, since my results are good, but not perfect! For the rest of this week, I want to do 5 workouts, and continue eating/sleeping habits. I'm also working on another composition with orchestral stuff, already wrote a theme, and the beginning. Would like to have it completed Sunday on the latest. I also have my first recording session for 2 songs I wrote for a piano/flute/vocal trio. I'm also organizing a party with many of my friends for my birthday, so I'll have some planning/cleaning up to do soon! I'll keep thinking about what I want to do for the next challenge. I probably want to keep similar habits as the 3 I used for this challenge and I should add a social habit and a productivity habit since I need to work on those areas too! More news coming soon!
  10. Alright, last update before the end of the challenge! (I should really update more often. ) Everything is keeping going well, with pretty much a perfect score since last time. I'm not counting 2 days I went away with friends where I couldn't follow my habits, but apart from that, all 3 habits of my main quest have been fully applied! Seems like I've successfully kept my motivation, even if some days I really didn't feel like working out, I still did it and felt great. I've been doing the Walk to Mordor challenge since the end of May, and I just reached the town of Bree today which is a little more than 200 km Also, 3rd composition completed (some kind of cheesy jazz song that could be used in a game), although not fully satisfied with some sounds I used, but it's harder to get good sounds when I'm using free or torrented soundbanks (will have to buy some soon!). Still, at this date, I'm pretty much at the place I wanted to be in my life quest planning, with some better knowledge of the software tools I needed to learn. Even with the good results I got for those habits, I'm seeing some other things I really have to work on, in the social and productivity domain. This week hasn't really been productive for me on music side, and I wasted entire days playing video games and shows/movies. I guess with my life goals reached for this challenge, I felt less motivated since I had no schedule and I felt like relaxing more. (Got myself some classic horror movies for this friday night ) I also tend to isolate myself way too much and I've barely spoken to my roommate this week. I've have lots of social events during the last week, but outside of them, I'm always way too much isolated. Will have to work on those aspects on the next challenge while keeping the habits of this first challenge! I should also try to be more involved in this website community. Still, I'm looking forward to see the results of everyone who posted on my challenge page Good luck everyone! Only 2 days left, and ... interesting fact : my birthday falls on the last day of the challenge, so I guess it'll give me a good reward for the end!
  11. Well, this is interesting... another rebel from Montreal studying in the same degree... (I just finished my software engineering degree 2 month ago ) Cheers to you for working hard on this challenge! Staying healthy is important, especially with this kind of career where a sedentary lifestyle is hard to avoid. Keep on being this consistent, your motivation seems great thus far! Only 2 weeks life!
  12. Good to see another fellow artist here! I can kind of relate with your life quest and your motivation for this challenge. Well, you seem to have great motivation thus far, keep on working on your goals, step by step! Only 2 weeks left for this first challenge!
  13. Hi there! Good to see a fellow musician! Congrats on joining the challenge. It's a good initiative you took by joining right now and not waiting for the next one! Wishing you good luck on your quest!
  14. Well, my goal have been fully completed since my last update! Here is my score for now (using negative markings) : - Physical habits : 36/36 (missed no workout) - Eating habits : 40/42 - Sleeping habits : 35/42 So, doing pretty good, have to work on sleeping habits, but this week has been the best thus far. - Life quest : 2/3 --> I just completed the second composition I had planned to do. I'm pretty satisfied of the results and it's the first work I complete with the new software I installed, and a first for me for a (kind of) electronic song For the next 2 weeks, I'll feel I'll be pretty busy. I'll be gone 3 days with my friends, and I have new plans that recently appeared to record some of our songs from our band, which is a new experience for all of us. I'll keep doing my best to be consistent in my habits and keeping improving in my workouts. Today, I need to add some vocals and lyrics for the first song I had written during the challenge (I had to wait for some feedback before doing so). After that, I'll start right away the third one I had planned which will be also in a different style. I'll start experimenting with orchestral stuff for that one, maybe write a more ambient piece that could be used in a game/movie That's it for now, going back to work! Good luck to everyone for that last 2 weeks of the challenge!
  15. I'm due for an update on my challenge! So, I have been successfully consistent towards my jogging routine and strength workouts, and have been able to resist eating cheap and bad food at home, since I came back from my trip. I feel pretty confident about those habits and think I can make it! But, I've struggling to get perfect sleeping habits, and I tend to stay awake over the limit I imposed myself, maybe for like 15-20 minutes. It's not much but I want to be following my goals completely, so I should work on that, and I'll take out another 3 points on that goal. I'm now at 35/42 for that goal, so I should watch out if I at least want a C! I've still managed to be productive during some days during last week, where I completed a list of thing I was always putting off for later, and I've done some good research on the software for composition. I'm now downloading sound samples that I can use to get some nice sounds. I've done a small composition exercise, but it was mostly to get used to the software so I don't think I will count it for my life goal. I've been feeling kind of lazy the last 2 days and haven't been as productive as I would have wished for. I guess I feel overwhelmed by all the things I still have to learn for my composition goals, and I'm not always sure where to start. Plus, I always struggle after a few weeks of motivation to keep on being motivated towards my goal. I hope this post will help me get back on track! Today, I'll try using a sample library I downloaded to make a retro video game kind of song with chiptune music I would like to have it completed before Tuesday. I also downloaded samples for orchestral music, and I want to try those too, but I guess I should wait and maybe start simpler, and not rush too much the song I'll start today. Maybe I'll keep the orchestral stuff for the 3rd composition of my life quest. With all this, I'm still proud of actually keeping on the challenge thus far, and I can update my profile for my first level!! Congrats also to any new level 1! For anyone doing the challenge, keep on working towards your goal, one small step at time! Don't get discouraged, and take it day by day. I'm sure we can all make it, and we're gonna get good results soon
  16. I'm back! Felt great to take some time away from everything and to finally have some time in nature. It had been way too long since I went to a camping trip. Summary since last update : I'll adjust my results with the camping trip. - Physical habits : Here I consider my objectives complete. Completed all workouts I could before and after the trip, and during the trip I have done lots of walking everyday and some kayaking and more. - Eating habits : For this, I'm actually taking out 2 points. I'm not penalizing myself for the type of food I ate, even if it wasn't paleo, since I didn't had much choice for the trip. I'm taking out points because I think I ate more than I should on multiple occasions even if I wasn't hungry during the trip. My family brought way too much food Still, I'm doing still doing good when I'm at home. - Sleeping habits : Objectives complete here also. It was easy during the trip since the sun had more effect on our activities schedules. In the last 2 days, I worked a lot of the first composition for my life quest objectives. It's mostly completed and I sent a first version to my band . Really satisfied of the results. There might be a few details to change but I consider the first composition mostly done! Now, I'm planning to work on compositions outside of the band context, and to make those, I want to learn to use a few tools before, in order to get good instruments simulation. So, that'll be my task for the next few days or week, depending of the complexity of the task. Also, if I'm not mistaking, we're getting to level 1 next week? Is there an effect if my objective have not been attained perfectly in the last weeks? Thanks again for everyone's support, it's always great to get some comments! Keep on the good work in your challenges and don't give up! In my case, I would always give up after 3 or 4 weeks after starting a certain workout, so I have to keep on being disciplined and to do it anyways! Cheers!
  17. Thanks for all the comments! I haven't updated my thread as much as I wanted... I'll work on that! So up to now, I've been able to follow my physical habits perfectly, by completing each required workout thus far! On the other side, the other 2 aspects have not been perfect, so I'm taking out 1 point in eating and 4 points in sleeping, since I gave in for few occasions in the last few days. Actually, I had a really busy week compared to usual, having social events almost everyday, which was demanding to me. I shouldn't use those as excuses though, so I'll keep on trying to follow the objectives, and still proud to have accomplished all the workouts with success! Now, I'm going to a camping trip with my family until Monday... so I don't think I'll be able to work on the challenge during these days, although my physical habits goal will probably be met, since we'll do physical activities each day. So I might adjust the grading system accordingly. I'll figure something out! After coming back, it's back to the challenge though, and I'll have time to finally work on the music composition goal, since I put it aside for a concert I had yesterday that I had to prepare in like 1 week! Everything went well , since it was mostly for background music and it was pretty casual. Well, that's it for now. Have a good week everyone, I'll post more when I come back from my trip!
  18. Thanks for the supporting comment on my challenge! I really like your side quest by the way I can totally relate with what you said. I think I'll try to add a social aspect for my next challenge too! Anyways, good luck for the rest of the challenge and keep up the good work on your workouts!
  19. Well, with some research online, both exercises seem to be doable with dumbbells, so I would say yes. In my case, it's what I do for bench press since I only own dumbbells and workout at home. Anyways, good luck for the challenge tomorrow, you have my support!
  20. Thanks you both for commenting, I hesitated to apply to the challenge, but I'm already feeling good about it by seeing supportive people like you Good luck to both of you for this new challenge!
  21. Hey, thanks for your support on my challenge! You're totally right, we have definitely much similar goals. Also, congrats on taking the first step in posting your first challenge, I know it wasn't easy, but I'm sure it will be worth it! You have my full support for this challenge Let's do this! PS : I'm curious to know what kind of music do you enjoy and do you plan to practice?
  22. Hi everyone ! I found this website a few weeks ago, and have been so inspired by it and its community. I am usually really introverted so I was really hesitant to get involved in this community. But, after lots of thinking and hesitation, I've finally decided to join everyone on this first challenge and to give it a try. My background story : I have just finished in early May my degree in software engineering, but I had been questioning my choice of career for the last 2 years. I have also been passionate about music for most of my life, and I had always hesitate to study in music because it seemed to risky. So with all the questioning and the thinking that a greater purpose in music was waiting for me, I decided to start a degree in music and have been accepted in April at an university for a 3 year degree in music composition! The choice wasn't easy since I would be restarting from scratch and I would see all my friends finishing school and passing to the next step in life. But, I sticked to my choice and I am glad I did! Anyways, for the link with fitness, I have never been an athletic guy, especially during the last few years, where I was always sitting in front of a computer, for school, jobs or just at home, watching TV shows/gaming. I'm not overweight, but I often feel lazy and lacking energy. Plus I moved away from my parent's house since last year and had no knowledge in cooking, so I have some improvement to do in that domain to fix some bad habits. I would eat pasta all week to have cheap and simple meals, or I would buy sugary treats and eat them all way too fast... With all the lack of physical activity, bad eating and lots of self questioning about my life, I haven't really felt that great physically and mentally during the last year. But now, with my change of degree and passing to a next step which truly passionates me, I really am determined to change all my habits and to become a better version of myself. Since 1-2 weeks of reading Nerdfitness, I've started to incorporate healthy habits : jogging and basic strength workouts, started eating mostly paleo (after finding nerdfitness) and waking up early. For this challenge, I'm looking for a way to motivate me to keep those habits going since I know it is easy to start something and to give up after a few weeks. I have never been able to keep these kinds of habits for that long (6 week) and I think this challenge will help me to stay consistent with those habits. So, let's explain about my challenge now! Main quest : Incorporate healthy habits and stay consistent with them in order to be a better person and to feel better in my life! Quest 1 : Physical habits (STR/STA) Keep the habit of 6 training sessions per week, alternating between cardio and strength workouts. 3 x ~25 min jogging per week 3 x basic strength workout at home with dumbbells Grades will depend on total number of training sessions completed. A: 35/36 B: 31/36 C: 27/36 D: 22/36 F: Less than 22 Quest 2 : Eating habits (CON) Keep the habit of eating paleo and stay away from junk/sugary food and premade meals! Here I will not be penalized by what I eat when going out for occasional social event, it will only concern the meals that I have to plan by myself. Grades will depend on total number of days with healthy meals. A: 41/42 B: 37/42 C: 33/42 D: 28/42 F: Less than 28 Quest 3 : Sleeping habits (WIS) Keep the habit of going to bed early (max 12:30 AM) and of waking up early (before 8:30 AM) to have a productive day! Here also no penalty for the occasional social event where I will permit myself to sleep later if the event finishes late. Grades will depend on total number of days with the sleeping schedule respected. A: 41/42 B: 38/42 C: 34/42 D: 28/42 F: Less than 28 Life quest (WIS) : I decided to take the summer off, no job. I needed time to cool off between my 2 university degrees, and I wanted to have time to work on getting my life back together, and focusing on music as much as possible. It is hard sometimes to be productive though since I have nobody to check on me and I get easily distracted being alone and having so much time. My goal for this challenge will be to finish 3 good and usable music compositions, 1 for my band and 2 just for me to improve certain skills that I need to work on. Grades will depend on number of compositions completed. A: 3/3 B: 2/3 C: 1/3 F: 0 Motivation : I was not proud of who I were during last year, and I intend to change that. Also, another source of motivation would be some of my friends who already have good constant healthy habits and who seem happy and optimistic in their life. They are true inspirations for me. I want to be a better happier person, to be more proud of myself, and to be more productive during the free time I have! That's about it, I'll try to keep updating at least weekly on the progression of this first challenge! Looking forward to level up in life and to get to know this community!
