  1. Arya! Today is the day! I'm going to CLEAN!!!!! Good luck with today!
  2. Arya! Today is the day! I'm going to CLEAN!!!!! Good luck with today!
  3. TourdeForce: Thanks! Maybe I should start applying for stunt woman jobs? Those horse stories sound wonderful, I'll have to check them out tonight! Leothil: Thank you! You wouldn't be, Queenie looks like a right plank when I ride her. As in, she always has her tongue out. Like, you-can-grab-it-and-shake-it-about-and-she-just-stands-there out. She doesn't give a crap! Gah.. Pull ups. Bane of my life right now. It doesn't help that my brother can do like 6. I've never been jealous of him before. I want to punch him for it haha!
  4. Woot for the level up! And wow. That workout would kill me. and with running before? Gah! Unbelievably well done! You say you're impressed that I do so much in a day.. If I did workouts like that I wouldn't do anything else!! Go Arya!!
  5. Arya, I have a feeling she'd co-operate more if I go out with someone else, she hasn't been in those fields for a while and was probably feeding off my initial 'holycrapI'mgoingtodie' vibes while I was tacking her up! Thank you very much! =D
  6. Day 23 July! It's July! How is it July already?! Gah! Anyway. I don't have any meetings for the first time in two weeks today! Huzzah! So I can get up early and walk Hutch and see Queenie in the morning rather than evening! Good morning 6:20am! Good morning bunnies, here's your breakfast! Good morning Snakey, you're up earlier than me! Good morning Tortoise, here's yours too! Good morning Lizards, time to wake up! Good morning world! Wow. I need to clean my windows. Good morning Hutchy! Let's go for a walk! I opt for the golf course walk today. It's about 3 miles, and it's beautiful. It takes about an hour and we have a lovely time, with Hutch meeting lots of friendly dogs along the way. Once we arrive home, I put the tortoise in the greenhouse and some crumpets under the grill. Breakfaaaast! Crumpets munched, it's time to go see Queenie! Yaay! I cycle down there, grab her headcollar and a carrot, and enter her field. Of course, the day I decide to go down in trainers is the day she stands in the only boggy part of the field. Thanks bean. I hose her feet off, groom her, and tack her up. I go and grab my hat, and shove my soggy, dirty feet into my riding boots. And now I have to decide. Do I play it safe and ride in one of the schools, or dare to go out in the fields, like the stable owner thinks I'm capable of? With the cob I used to loan, I'd take him out for a gallop with no saddle and just a headcollar, but Queenie? I might be signing some sort of death warrant, even with full tack. I even consider borrowing a body protector, something I haven't worn in 6 years. Screw it. I have to do it at some point. Let's go out and have a blast. We go over the road. We walk. She's fine. We trot. She's a little speedy. We canter, she's cautious. I go to walk her back up to the top, she stops. Like, won't move forwards, if you kick me I'll go backwards, if you tap my shoulders with the reins I'll rear stop. For the life of me, I cannot get her to go. Huh. This is not what I expected. I jump off and take her down to the next field. I hop on. We walk. Fine. We trot, fine. We canter. She has a little more fun this time, but then stops again. She constantly trying to get back to the gate. She starts rearing and going backwards and god damn this stupid horse!! DON'T CANTER SIDEWAYS!! I'm bored of this now. I came out for a terrifying gallop. I'm having a terrifying gallop. She wants to go to the gate? Fine. But we're doing it my way. I jump off, realising she's not going anywhere but the gate with me on her. I take her to the other gate, the one that leads to the rest of the fields the horses love in. I walk her 2 more fields away. It's about quarter of a mile, a five minute walk. When we get to the farthest corner, I get back on. I shorten my reins, pop up into half seat, and whisper in her ear: 'Go on then.' Now, Queenie is a Irish sport horse. For you non horsey people, let me explain something here. Irish sport horses are usually half thoroughbred. You know, the ones they use in the races? I've only ever galloped cobs before. It's not really much different from a super speedy canter. But on this mare? I have never held on to a horses neck so tight in all of my life. It took us 5 mins to walk up there. It took about 20 seconds to get back. And I had 0 control over slowing her down. 0. We were approaching the gate at alarming speed. For a split second, I was terrified she'd jump it. Pulling the reins to slow down was doing nothing, so I tried turning instead. Circles are your best friend in slowing a horse down. We make half a circle before Queenie decides nah, she wants to go back the way she was going. She spins around. I'm pretty much standing in my stirrups and get thrown off balance by the sudden 180 turn. I have two choices. Try and cling on, and probably end up in the dirt, or kick free of the one stirrup and use the other to perform a flying dismount, and possibly end up in the dirt. I go for flying dismount. I land on my feet. Queenie trots. I jog along side her. Why is no one ever around when I do stunt man worthy stuff?! We slow to a walk, and then a halt. I give Queenie a huge fuss, the pair of us breathing heavily. I open the gate and we walk through. I let go of queenies reins, thinking she'll stand there as I tie the gate back up. Nope. She trots away to the other gate. Now I have to do the rider's run of shame after her. And it was going so well! When we make it back to the yard, I take her saddle off and cool her off in hand in the school. She then gets a full hose down and 2 carrots before going out. See you tomorrow Beanie! I cycle home in just my socks, my sodden trainers in a plastic bag. It's not very comfortable. When I get home, I grab a doggy bag and go straight back out, still shoeless, but with hutchy this time. We go over to the nearby field where I get the rabbits their clover, then head on home. We meet an adorable 5 month old retriever who was incredibly well behaved. Did I get a few odd looks for wandering around a field with no shoes on picking clover? A couple. We get back again, I go to feed the rabbits. Pancake, the greedy bugger, doesn't give me a chance to put any in before he dives head first into the bag: Oh Pancake. I scatter the clover in their run and head inside. I have a quick scrub down to get the horseyness off me, then change into my gym gear. It's time to head into town to meet mark to go to the park gym! Yay! I take a small amount of money with me so I can get some food at some point. Hungry now! We meet at the bus station, and walk to the park, heading straight for the workout stations. We've now upped our reps a little: Leg press: 3 sets of 15 Space walker: 10 mins Burpee area: 5 sets of 3 Surfer: 10 mins Pull downs: 4 sets of 10 Chest press: 3 sets of 15 Pull up bars: 3 sets of 5 doing my strange monkey upside down pull ups. This time, I remembered to get mark to get a photo! Looking at this, I can only say one thing. Those squats are working. After our workout, we played on the big swing for a little while, much to the amusement of the parents watching nearby while the children played on the other stuff. Then we headed back to town, and had a wander around for a while before heading home. Upon arriving at my final destination for the day, it was time to call it quits on the activity front. I grabbed my new book and flopped down on the sofa, and there I comfortably remained until my belly began to rumble. Time to fill up the fuel tank. Yup. That'll about do it. And that, ladies and gentlemen, was day 23. It is now 8:30pm and I have no intention of moving from this chair until I go to bed. Until tomorrow! End of day stats: Exercise: walking, cycling, horse riding, park gym Total miles: 11 Food intake: 3 meals Water intake: 2 litre bottles and a hot chocolate
  7. Arya: Thank you! Now that the first 2 days have passed I can happily say that I'm back to normal and ready to seize(and blog about) the day! =D Hutchy has dwarfism. Me and Boyfriend are constantly mocking him. He's just so adorable! We actually call him 'Dink' a lot, after Peter Dinklage! I hope you're having a wonderful day Arya! <3 Chris-Tien Jinn: Woohoo! Thank you! =D TourdeForce: Stupid 'gift'. So many cravings, so little cash. But thank you! Hurray for level 1!
  8. Day 22 The sun has come back! Huzzah! But I have slept in! Boo! And I still need to shower! Eek! I jump out of bed and into the shower, getting everything done as quickly as possible. I get dressed, throw my damp hair up into a bun that only needs a stick to hold it up, feed the menagerie and head on over to town. I get there early enough to buy some breakfast, melon chunks and cranberry juice, nom. On the way out a homeless guy asks me if I have any change. He says he needs £1.20 for a burger, so I give him £3 and tell him to get himself a drink as well. Good deed for the day done, I head on over to the centre, eating my melon on the way. I go up the two flights of stairs and into the reception, sign in, wait ten minites, go in... 'Hi pixie! What are you doing here?' Shit. I'm not meant to be in until 12! Gaaaahh!! So, I head over to the bookstore. I have a browse, before settling on two books. One, the children of Hurin, for my brothers birthday this Friday, and Feed, a zombie novel for me. This bookstore is great. There's armchairs and sofas all over the place so you can read before you buy. So I chill there for a few hours before heading back to do my paperwork. Once paperwork is done, it's back home. I walk hutch, then read some more. Then fall asleep for a half hour. I'm feeling too tired to see Queenie. Instead, I practice my man push-ups, totalling 11 again. Around 6, I realise I haven't eaten since breakfast, probably the reason I feel so sluggish. Time to munch up. I end up making a massive meal of sweet potato mash, carrots, beans, peas, sweetcorn, and 2 pork steaks. It really doesn't take much effort to eat all of it. For dessert, I head up to the garden and pick a few tayberries that we have growing next to the tortoises greenhouse. Om nom. I spend the rest of the day reading. Boring stuff. Sorry guys. A couple more days and I'll feel better and start being entertaining again! Day 22: done. Exercise: walking, cycling, push ups Total miles: 3 Food intake: 2 meals Water intake: half a litre bottle
  9. Wow, it takes a while to catch up on your thread after a few days! Well done on everything you've achieved so far Ayra, an looking great in that selfie! Onwards to the second half of the challenge!
  10. Gah. Today. Good but flah. I'll have to fill you in after I've slept, I've just gotten home and I'm knackered. Night everyone! <3
  11. Day 20 Ugh. I slept like crap last night. First, I went to bed around 10pm but took over an hour to drop off. Then, I was woken up at 1am by Mother Nature deciding now was a good time for her monthly gift. I don't want no gift. Didn't get back to sleep until around half 2 thanks to cramps. Then woke up again about 5am needing to pee. Whai?!?! Upon getting up at half 8ish, it's safe to say I'm not the happiest pixie. I'm tired. I'm still sore from the other day's workout, and now I have added stomach pain and mood swings. On top of all this, it's raining. So I can't even take the puppies out for walkies. Boyfriend, being the amazing thoughtful person that he is, says nothing about me curling up on the sofa and pouting, and heads to the kitchen to fry me a steak for breakfast. He then puts the TV on top gear and tidies up the house. Oh yes. I love this man. 2 hours later, I still haven't moved. Nor do I plan to. Another 2 hours pass. No movement. 20 minutes pass. We decide to walk the dogs, now that it's stopped raining. We walk them for about half an hour, doing a little training towards the end. When we get home we have lunch. Cheese omlettes, nom nom. Then The Mama wants to go to the fabric shop for some material for sewing, and we decide to go swimming straight after. On the way, I grab a chocolate bar, cause you know, I can do that this week. When we get home, both me and Boyfriend give Hutchy a bath ready for tomorrow. Afterwards, we cave. We order domino's. It's. So. Good! Pepperoni pizza, garlic pizza bread, and chocolate twisted dough balls for dessert. So good. I'm calling today a success, for despite it being full of pain, laziness and downright gluttony, I went walking AND swimming. On the first day of 'being-a-woman-sucks-week'. For me personally, it's always 5 days. The first 2 are hell, and on the 3-5 it's just an annoyance that it's there. For me to do anything on the first 2 days is impressive. So flah. I'm now going to retreat to the bedroom and curl up, since they have Glastonbury on downstairs waaaay too loud. I don't care if it's only 8:15pm, I'm tired. Goodnight rebels. End of day stats Exercise: walking, swimming Total miles: 0.5 Food intake: 3 +snacks Water intake: 1.5 litres
  12. Thank you Leothil! I've been growing it out from a pixie cut since 2010, but I have to cut loads off because of split ends all the time I'm hoping to get it right down to my butt eventually! I don't feel right if I'm not moving or doing something these days! Having so many animals spread out around the house and garden tends to keep me on my toes too hehe. Thank you, I hope they feel better tomorrow too! And I hope you have an awesome weekend as well! (Also, I just edited today's journal to include a video of Hutch doing some tricks!)
  13. Day 19 5am The alarm rings. Woohoo! I have this morning off! I can go an see Queenie and ride before it gets hot and walk Hutchy and sit in the sunshine! I sit up. Gah. Everything aches! Hold on.. What's that noise? -swear words- It would rain on the only morning I get off. Screw it, I'm going back to bed. 9am I wake up again. I feel much better this time. Everything still aches, but the extra 4 hours rest leave me feeling, well, rested. I still don't want to get out of bed though. Hold on. Is.. Is that light coming from behind my blinds? *tentatively lifts a corner to peek outside* (If I had a stalker, they'd know when I was up every morning because this is always the first thing I do!) It's stopped raining. I am confused. Here in England, our summer tends to consist of 1-3 weeks of blistering heat where everyone complains, followed by 1-3 weeks of rain, where everyone forgets every nice day there's been and complains. Come autumn, everyone says how we had no sun this summer. Every. Year. So after 2 weeks of warm and it suddenly dipping in temperature yesterday, I was expecting rain aaall day. This is a pleasant surprise! Now I just need to re-motivate myself. I was quite ready to hide in bed until I had to go to town. ... This might take something extreme and silly. Horse needs riding. Bunnies need cleaning. Puppy needs walking. Must. Get. Up!! Internally, I scream a battle cry as loud as my inside-my-head voice can go, as I fling the covers away from me and launch myself out of bed. AAAAAAGH!!!! My legs protest, and my head is filled with dizziness at the sudden motion. I stumble to the other side of the room, taking care to not trip over the tortoise pen, and regain my balance as I throw my dressing gown on. AAAAAAGH!!!! I charge downstairs, enter the living room, and am stopped dead in my tracks. Dad's girlfriend is here eating cornflakes. I totally forgot she was coming over last night. And here's me. Standing in the middle of the living room in nothing but a dressing gown, a messy slept on braid, and yesterday's heavy eyeliner giving me quite the startled panda look. (Photo is of course a reconstruction taken after they left) I quickly regain composure and say good morning before rushing out to sort out the rabbits. I put their breakfast in the run(the last of my broccoli), change their water bottles, give pancake a good cuddle then open the connecting door to let them into the run. They both hop over and I clean out their toilet corner. Honey comes back in to make sure I'm doing the job properly, and I snatch her up before she has a chance to turn around. She gets a quick cuddle and nose rub, and I put her down before she bites me. She will learn not to be afraid of cuddles! She grunts in displeasure and disappears back into the run. I finish off and close the door and head back inside. Dad and his Girlfriend are just leaving. They're going away for the weekend. Dunno where. Anywhoodles. I scurry on down to the stables to see Queenie beanie, making a slight detour to the shop to buy a couple of apples and a litre bottle of water. On the way, I see a seagull in the middle of a quiet road, plucking the entrails of a squished hedgehog. How grim. I get to the stables, grab her headcollar and leadrope and head on over to her field. While I say hellos to the closer horses, I look up and see her walking towards me. Oh hai there! I give her the apple and we make our way back to the yard. She actually goes well again today, only playing up once and I even cooled her down bareback. Now that she's fattened up it's much more comfortable.. But even that is still pretty uncomfortable.. Curse her high withers! I give her another apple and chuck her out, then come home. I have just under an hour to get ready. I have a quick bath and whack my hair in a half up, and get dressed, and head on over to town. I'm with IT Tutor doing paperwork for 40 mins, then with my personal adviser at the job centre for 15. I get home about 3:15, which gives me plenty of time to pack. (can you tell I've run out of ways to write about paperwork in a way that's entertaining?) While packing, I remember it's the open day at the rescue centre I got Hutchy from this weekend. They do little dog shows and all. Last time Hutchy got third for best trick. At a different fete a month ago he got fourth for best crossbreed out of about 15 dogs who entered. We've been so this time I'm hoping for a 2nd place ribbon at least! So I pack all of Hutchy's stuff as well and chill for a little while before making my way back to town, and up to the train station. We get there 15 mins early, which means I now get to put up with 15 mins of Hutch whining because he loves the train and he's super impatient. Awesome. But surprise! It gets here almost 10 mins early! We hop on and get a seat closest to the door. Hutch sits next to me. Look at his little legs!! Boyfriend gets to the station at the same time as we do, so we get to go straight home without waiting. Upon arriving, I'm suddenly overwhelmed with a sense of tiredness and acheyness and 'oh-god-can-I-go-to-bed-now-please?' Fatigue! That's the word I'm looking for! Overwhelmed with a sense of fatigue! I also haven't had lunch or dinner yet so I'm pretty hungry too. I get chicken wrapped in bacon with broccoli and hash browns for dinner! Mmmmmmmm. And that, I believe, is a wrap for today! Icanhazsleepnowplskthnxbye. End of day stats: Exercise: walking, cycling, horse riding, stairs. So many stairs today. Total miles: 6.25 Food intake: 2 meals Water intake: 1litre bottle
  14. Arya: So sore. So, so sore. Sitting hurts. Everything hurts! Thank you for the energy! I shall keep it in reserve for when I get home.. I'm at Boyfriend's for the weekend now! Sending some right back for you and your cleaning mission! Leothil: He is indeed! And his girlfriend is called Honey, since they go so well together! I was pretty sad to wake up this morning and see clouds and rain instaed of the pretty sunrise. But waking up at 3am for it? I'm not sure I'd do that. That's nuts! I am proud of myself though, thank you! TourdeForce: Thank you! I haven't had a proper lesson in over a year now, I had one every week from the age of 12-20, but stopped so I could use that money towards loaning the horse instead! I'm sure I've picked up some bad habits, I need someone to tell me what I should be doing now haha! You have a good weekend too!
  15. Day 18 Wow. My alarm went off at 5am, and I actually got up! Good morning! Look at that! Sunrise! I get dressed straight away and cleaned out and fed the tortoise and rabbits, then walk hutchy on his usual 2 mile route, picking up more clover for the rabbits on the way. They get fed again when I get back, and the tortoise has a nice warm soak in the bath while I get ready for town. Again. In total defiance of yesterday's suit, I go for a punky, rocky kinda look. Black mini with red and black over the knee socks, a black and red stripy t shirt with a skull on the front, a black over shirt kinda thing with just straps on the back, and of course, my faithful batman hoodie. I also have a purple thumb from spraying one of Queenies more recent cuts yesterday(stupid mare is also accident prone and moody toward other horses). So, with everything ready and on time, I cycle over to the bus station and hop on the bus. First meeting this morning is with Tutor. We're going to be working on a covering letter. The appointment's at 9am so I make sure to get there ten minutes early. Only to forget that they don't actually open until 9. So as I'm waiting outside, I wonder. Is 10 minutes long enough to go back to tescos and buy my lunch and a bottle of water for later? Or will that be pushing it? I decide to stay up here and wait. There'll be time to get things later, when IT tutor gives us the lunch break. I take the opportunity to get to tescos and buy lunch. I also buy a pack of flapjack bites for the group. Because I'm lovely like that. The rest of the time with IT tutor is spent filling in more paperwork, a survey on the computer, and doing a one on one recorded feedback. We finish at half 12 and I stay in the room and hang out for a while, as my next appointment isn't until 1pm. So, at 1 I leave the classroom and the man who shall henceforth be known as 'Adviser' beckons me over to his desk. We spend about an hour going over my previous employment history, personal details, transferable skills, all the usual boring stuff. I get a list three pages long of different job seeking sites, fill out another survey, and go on my merry way home! I get home around 20 past 2, giving me 40 minutes free to check on all the animals, give hutch and pancake massive cuddles, and get changed into more suitable clothes. What's that? Suitable for what? Why, for exercise, you silly noggin! 3pm has been allotted for a body weight circuit session! And 1 hour later, I'm just about ready to curl up in bed and call it a day. All together, I did 60 squats, 60 lunges, 90 seconds of planking, 90 jumping jacks, 45 dumbbell rows, 15 negative chin ups, and 11 MAN push-ups. I usually do knee ones but I decided to take it up a step. Now everything aches. I had planned to clean my room up a bit after exercising but I still have to go see Queenie. I don't have enough effort left in me to do both. I'll clean tomorrow. Maybe. I probably won't have time then, but maybe. Instead, I spend the time sitting. Doing absolutely nothing. It is blissful. Then, around 5ish, I head on over to the stables, portrait in tow. I find the person it's for and she pays for it, so now I'm a little bit richer! Not by much, but enough for a private lesson on Queenie for my birthday! Yay!! Speaking of Queenie, today's ride doesn't go quite so well. She goes stiff on one rein and refuses to bend, then coming down from canter she zooms off out of control.. Again. More work is needed. But other than that, she was still good. I get home around 7, and decide stuff it. I'm done for today. I'm not even bothering to cook properly. I throw a salmon crumble thing into the oven and head upstairs for a bit of relaxation. Day 18: done. Exercise done: walking, cycling, horse riding, body weight circuit. Total miles: 7.5 Food intake: 4 meals Water intake: 4 750ml bottles And since I completely forgot to get any photos today other than the sunrise, have a bonus shot of me and Pancake looking adorable!
  16. Leothil, you really are too kind! Thank you!
  17. Day 17 Rebels. Oh rebels. I'm dressed FORMALLY. As in, a suit-type ensemble. It is really really HOT today. We all have to get dressed up today for mock interviews. Even the tutors and staff are dressing smarter. (Yes, yes, I know. Messy room is messy.) This skirt is deceptively short. I thought it was a longer on the legs but it's a high waisted one. How do people dress like this every day?! (In case you haven't noticed, this mornings section of this post is going to be purely me complaining about my clothes) I feel so alien. This is not me. I do not like this. I'm sat on the bus and people are leering at me like I'm some successful young person. I want my denim shorts back! Meeehhhh! Right. Anyway. I get up there. I sign in. I go into the room to discover that despite being on time, I'm the last in. Great. Everyone else IS dressed smart, so it wasn't a trick as I had been paranoid about. Phew. Today we're doing things like filling out application forms, writing a covering letter, researching companies and so on and so forth. We're also having a one on one mock interview with IT Tutor. Now, I've never actually had an interview before. Ever. I was very lucky with my old job not to need one. So, regardless of the fact that this is just a practice thing, I'm nervous. Scratch that, I'm terrified. It makes no sense but it's how I feel all the same. Two people go before me, so I start the other work. As I plow through it, I start to feel better. The terror turns to nerves. The nerves turn into some kind of bouncy energy. I'm now skipping between the computer and the printer to fetch my documents. IT Tutor comes back in. 'Who wants to go next?' Screw it. Let's get it over with! 'Meeeee!' I say. We head on over to a quiet private office. We do the interview. IT Tutor is impressed. According to him, I have brilliant, well thought out answers, have great eye contact and body language, and asked some great questions at the end. There was just one little thing. Apparently, I completely forgot to smile throughout the entire interview. Chatting before? Smiling. Discussing it after? Smiling. During the interview? Not a single smile. Oops. I guess I was concentrating too much! But other than that, it went great! So hurray! We go back to the teaching room and I finish my work fairly quickly. Is end up leaving 20 minutes early, and going to the shop to buy a packet of sweets as a little reward. Then I take the bus home, so, so eager to get out of these blasted clothes! So I get home and the first thing I do is get back into my shorts and boob tube. Aaaahhhh. Then I have a quick lunch, and walk Hutchy. While I'm in the fields, I pick a doggy bag full of plantain and clover for the rabbits. I dump it in their run when we get home. Bunnies appreciate it. Then I've allotted a 2 and a half hour block to work on a portrait I've been commissioned to do. I was expecting to finish tomorrow but it went so well I was finished in 2 hours and 20 mins! Which left me 10 extra minutes to put all the animals into their night time enclosures as the weather just turned a little cooler, and get everything ready to go and see Queenie! I decide to do some more jumping work today. Queenie actually behaves herself for the most part, though recently she's gotten into the habit of turning into a donkey when she's a bit tired. You can boot her all you like bit she won't go any faster than a walk. So we go under the shade of a tree for her to rest. Then we get back to jumping a couple more times, then she's cooled down, hosed off, fed an apple, does her carrot yoga and is let back into her field. When I get home, I have about half an hour to make dinner before I need to be on Skype. I whip up a pork steak and half a plate of cheesy broccoli. Om nom nom! After Skype, All that's left to do is watch Grimm, sort tomorrow out during the breaks, and go to bed. Early start tomorrow! Day 17: done! End of day stats: Exercise: walking, cycling, horse riding Total miles: 6 Food intake: 3 plus snacks Water intake: 3 750ml bottles
  18. Arya, Leothil: Thank you both so much! I love to hear that my writing is actually entertaining people! Thank you for commenting so often as well, You both make me feel all mushy inside when I read your feedback!! I'm really enjoying writing these as well, to be honest. I LOVE writing but find I don't have much time to do it creatively, so when I finally do, I'm out of practice and everything sucks. This way, I'm ALWAYS writing!
  19. Damn, Arya, you killed that workout!! Our rooms will be clean at SOME point. ONE DAY.
  20. Day 16 While wallowing in my failure of writing anything decent for yesterday, I decide to start today's journal early. As in, it's-still-night-15-and-I'm-starting-now-so-I-have-no-excuse early. Fast forward to day 16!! Ok! It is 06:20 and I'm actually getting up! Yay! Must have breakfast! Oh, but first I have to take yesterday's make up off. Oh, and the rabbits need to go out in the run. Oh, and the snake's shed and pooped and needs cleaning out. Oh, and I need to cut some more grass for the tortoise. Maybe I should walk the dog first? No. Then you will have no time for breakfast. All other animal-related tasks completed, I go to the kitchen and look for food. There is food. But. It is 6:40am and I am not doing any substantial amount of washing up. So no bacon. Nothing I have to defrost or cook. Which leaves me with cheese, and apple and a go ahead yoghurt coated fruit bar. ... Fine. Then it's time to walk hutchy! We go the usual 2 mile route, meeting a lovely black labradoodle on the way. When we get home, I need the loo. I go upstairs. Brother has just had a shower. Have I told you about Brother? Bane of my life. So I go in, bursting for the loo. There's pee and hair ALL over the seat. 'BROTHER' 'What?' 'You've left the bathroom in a state again!!' Nothing. 'THAT MEANS CLEAN IT!' 'WAIT!' 'I NEED TO PEE AND IN NOT GOING IN THERE UNTIL ITS CLEAN' He goes in grumbling. He comes out 5 seconds later having swilled the bath out with the shower head. -profuse swearing- Fine. I go in. I pick up his towel(me and dad keep ours in our rooms so he doesn't use them and get hair all over them) Since he's fine with living in filth, I'm sure he won't mind me cleaning his pee off the toilet with his towel. Business dealt with, I continue getting ready. I brush my hair and promptly turn into a poodle: But that's ok, because I'm putting it up anyway. I go to the bus station, get my ticket, hop on the bus and I'm on my way. Then, my phone rings. 'Hi, it's Tutor from Company. We had an appointment at 9, and I was wondering where you were?' ... Shiiiiiiiiit. I forgot about that. When I get there, I go see him and apologise profusely. He's a very easy going guy and I'm lucky not to be sanctioned for not turning up. We reschedule for Thursday and I go back to them Employability course I'm doing. Today, we're doing 9:30-14:00. It's a going to be a day of listening to computers talking at us, with a little interaction. We take a break at 11:30, and intake the opportunity to catch up on the journal. Then I read the paper I took off the bus this morning and forgot to read. Boring boring boring. Things get a little more interesting when we take our lunch break. Having thought ahead, I packed a cheese sandwich and another apple for lunch. I walk down to st Andrews spire to eat it, as well as see if the local peregrines are on the perches. They're not. I eat my lunch in relative peace. It's peaceful, there's a pair of blackbirds hopping around in the flower bed in front of me, the sun is shining down and there's a slight, gentle breeze. I finish my sandwich and decide to eat the apple while walking back to the place I'm doing the course. I put my phone away. I go to stand up. And an immediately bowled over by a drunk man, who then rolls away from me and lies on the floor, as if it were his intention to end up down there. As I pick myself up, a policeman jogs over. He'd obviously been following the man for some time, attempting to guide him to the bus station to get home. I assure him I'm fine and peg it, not wanting to get involved. I manage to arrive back at the centre just on time, and crack back on with the work, which I finish in about half an hour. I'm then allowed to leave! I'm an hour and a half early to meet up with Mark to go to the park now. I have no intention of going home only to come straight back, so I head over to the meeting point. I try ringing him. Nothing. I try again. Nothing. I text him. Nothing. Sigh. I guess I'll just chill until half 2 then. He gets there at 25 past. We can go now, hurray!! We walk the mile to the park, and play on the swings and other things I don't know the names of.. And I discovered I can no longer do monkey bars. Sad face. We reach the gym equipment and have fun on the leg press, where I do 3 sets of 15. On the space walker we do 8 minutes, At the situp-turned-Burpee area, I go extreme. 2 sets of 5! Awooga!! Then it's the surfer, where we do 8 minutes again, We do 4 sets of 10 at the pull down station, 3 sets of ten at the chest press, And then we're at the pull up stations. I do 2 negatives, then jump and hook my legs around the beam and do 5 row kinda things. We then walk the mile back to town, where I show Mark how one of the shops in the bus station has moved everything around, and he buys sun cream. Then I see my bus at the station, and can't be bothered to walk back. I say goodbye to Mark and hop on. I decide it's too hot to ride Queenie. She's going to be in no mood for it, and I don't want a fight. So it's time for dinner! Salmon, cheesey sweet potato mash and half a plate full of cabbage. Mmm. I then settle down to watch the 3rd pirates of the Caribbean movie. The tortoise comes in from the greenhouse and straight into a hot bath, and I set a timer to make sure I don't forget him up there. Day 16: done. End of day stats: Exercise: walking, cycling, park gym Total miles: 5 Food intake: 3 meals plus snacks Water intake: 2 750ml bottles I shall leave you with a photo I took of Hutchy chilling out on the sofa at Boyfriend's during the weekend. 21. Leothil: It really was a nice weekend, I had a lot of fun Boyfriend lets me drive on GTA5 too! And he's got me into actually playing minecraft and Left 4 Dead 2! I didn't think it'd enjoy playing that as I have a tendency to panic in games like that, and I have a fear of clowns, so zombie clowns running at me sounded awful.. Turns out, I love blowing them to bits with a gun I don't know the name of. It's like therapy! (And I kick ass at building things in minecraft)
  22. Arya: Aww! They were so good! I left my watermelon over there though, so now I can't have it for breakfast here *throws kebabs javelin style* mind the points!!!
  23. Day 15: GUYS I SUCK. All day I've thought 'must start journal. Must start journal' It's 22:11. I'm going to bed. Still no journal. Exercise: Walking, cycling, horse riding Total Miles: 4 Food Intake: 1 proper meal, multiple snacks Water intake: 2 750ml bottles I WILL GET BACK ON TRACK TOMORROW AND WRITE EVERYTHING UP PROPERLY!!! ¬_¬
  24. Chris-Tien Jinn: I'm not doing nearly as many as I told myself I would. I'm aiming to pick it up this week!
  25. Arya! You're so super pretty! You'd make such a kick-ass looking agent! No sad face for having rest days though! Rest days are important and needed for recovery so we can get strong! Otherwise we'd all just break down! (Also, your room is still cleaner than mine right now >.< )
