  1. Sorry for not updating. I had a nerdy thing going on . I went to a guild meeting of my WOW guild at the other end of the country from Friday to Monday, We visited a theme park with lots of roller coasters, ate lots of meats and had a ton of fun. Oh and we visited an Asian restaurant with buffet... I ate frosh legs and zebra! On Sunday when we where only 5 people so we walked a little trough the nearby wood and saw a deer What I find strange is that my eye twitched the whole day in the theme park. In my body this is usually a sign of stress or magnesium deficit. Maybe I was just too scared from all the rollercoasters. I'm still adding stuff I ate to my log so I can't create a weekly feedback yet. But social goal totally completed Started the new week so far with vegetable 2/5 and fruits 3/5. My raw vegetable of choice is nearly everyday a pepper of any color. I will look into the vegetable alphabet at some later challenge I think. I'm easy to distract and want to focus on eating anything at all
  2. I really want to follow you but there is so much stuff happening here . But what i grasped it, that you're doing very fine, keep on rocking For the Horde from a tauren druid tree in Germany
  3. I like your nerd life intro . The green thin behind you on the floor drives me crazy. What is it?
  4. Since I started eating more paleo and much less sweet, I can't stand most sweet things . Sounds like a great start so far.
  5. Thank you both. I sometimes feel that my goals are to small but I know that they are right for me right now. Forget to mention: Life quest met last week. Eating with the neighbours on friday. (Pork baked in salt) Graphs are all from http://paleotrack.com/, it's free. The report function (graph from day 1 to day x) is premium only I think (I have a habit off paying for premium services online -.-) Good start in week two: Eggs (1/3) Mon: No raw vegetable Tu: Had Salad as vegetable, Banana, apple, strawberries
  6. Week 1 is over. How have I done? Food Logging: B Logged everything the same day, only some meals very rough estimated. My partner cooked something with an unknown amount of vegetables and liquids :/. Very delicious but hard to log. Eggs: A (3 of 3) Vegetable/fruit at least 5 of 7 days: A: missed raw Vegetables on Wednesdays and fridays Main Goal: No clear trend, some values got better, some worse. I need more Fish. Omega und Sodium ratios look better than before.
  7. I like your minimalist challenge! What tools do you use for your tracking goal?
  8. Hi, we share the Side Quest and I really like the idea of 30 day challenges. Did you choose one yet?
  9. Maybe your dog needs some training, too? But I know that feeling, I'm still trying to run with my little shortlegged mix (think Corgi/Dachshund style). I have to drag him away from home, but when we turn around after the half of the run HE starts to run and drags me... Great you already lost some weight .
  10. Thank you both for your explanations . I really like zombies5k, but unfortunately, right now IF I'm running AT ALL it is together with my neighbour and I think it is rude to tell herr shhhht they are telling me something. Maybe running will be one of my goals in the next challenge. Wednesday: no (raw) vegetable Thur: Salad, Pepper, Strawberries Fr: 2 Scrambled Eggs, Banana, no (raw) vegetable It was late in the evening when Kiazi carefully opened the front door of their house. The air tasted like warm rain and smoke. She looked around and found the trail of smoke that might be causeing the smell. It might be the big barren at the other side of the river, she thought. No danger from that, for now. As she couldn't spot any persons out on the street, she decided it was safe to slip out and sneek to the garden to refill her storage and tummy a little. The garden was framed by a fence and large trees so she felt relatively secure here. Nobody could see her when she took her clothes of and jumped right into the swimming pool. It felt good to lose that layer of sweat and dirt. The water-taps in the apartment stopped working a long with the power when the THING happened. Still wet from the quick swim she started gathering strawberries. Now she was thankful that she decided against flowers..
  11. Thank you everyone! With me it is the other way around, lots of people I could do something with, but I'm not really interested that much in social contact. My boyfriend regularly hangs out with our neighbours in their garden, so I don't even have to drive some where. I just don't want to. But if I'm there too, I tend to like it anyway. Therefore the goal. One of our neighbours has a baby too, they just bring it with them and everyone in the group gets a go on holding the baby or moving the buggy. Thank you for all the guild information, I've not decided yet, but as I understood I have time until the next challenge? It kinda feels like a competition between the guilds, who will recruit the most new players? So the first two days of the challenge are over. Looks Good so far . Managed to log everything, ate already one of 3 portions of eggs and ate a red pepper, banana and strawberries every day. My intake for Vitamins E, D, K is to low, Calcium, Iron, Zinc, Copper are problematic, too.
  12. Hi myrlien, what are you doing late up at night? Getting stuck on the internet/tv? I only fell twice on purpose during my climbing lessons (I wasn't climbing or securing after those lessons [no time/no climbing partner]) Good idea to get some more training in that area on purpose!
  13. Hi myrlien, time needed to enter stuff depends pretty much on what you eat and how perfect you want it to have. There is a database behind it, you just enter something in the searchfield and it suggests stuff. Fruits and vegetables work pretty good this way, after you choose one, you enter the weight. It also offers typical serving sizes for the product. So a banana comes in different "lengths" while a apple might have a diameter and e.g. for spices etc. it has a preset for table and teaspoon. You have the ability to create own foods, and even whole meals for ease of use, too. But searching all the nutrition data in the internet and entering is really time consuming. I tried it for a while and it drove me crazy. So if I can't find something, I'll just use the next best thing. Sometimes I'm actually weighing stuff, most times I just estimate. For the sake of my sanity... Might be I'm underestimating stuff, but as I'm not trying to lose weight, I can live with some numbers beeing smaller than the real thing. The risk to get lost in entering and searching data for what I just ate and than losing all my motiviation is much to high.
  14. So this is my starting point: I did Quest 1 already since the beginning of June: I already tried to eat healthy and somewhat diverse here...
  15. This is one of my goals, too. I can totally relate to the challenge in that goal. Do you have a plan what vegetables and fruits you'd like to consume this week?
  16. Good start How long did you walk with your dog today?
  17. I hate it when things happen that I'm not prepared for, somehow this is the motive of my whole life. Stuff to be prepared for reaches from "when the shit hits the fan" to "beeing able to invite neighbours over without getting a panic attack because the living room is all messed up". A large part of beeing able to cope with stuff is a healthy body, so here I'am. I'am skinny (or skinny fat), never been overweight but never been really fit. For some years now I'm trying to change that. I'm doing yoga 1x per week for 1,5 years or so in the gym, I'm indoor climbing/bouldering(but not as regularly as I'd like too) and for sometime now I'm dooing circle training on some machines in the gym. (Because a coworker startet it in the gym and needed a accountability buddy, and I figured those machine would be better than no weight training at all. I'm scared of free weights...). Sometimes I'm running with the help of zombiesrun or together with a neighbour. But my goal for this fitness challenge isn't fitness related, it's nutrition based. For large parts of my live I didn't ate any fruits except bananas and apples, and vegetables only cooked well and only some. Meat was my food. My current partner likes to cook, so naturally I'm trying more and more things now, but my diet is still far a way from being full of vitamins. I think I'd feel better if I would get more of the right stuff into my body. So that will be my goal in my first challenge. Main Quest for this Challenge Getting enough Vitamins and Minerals to keep my body healthy. Enough means for this challenge: at least 80% of the recommended amount for every value listet on paleotrack Quest 1: Track Food intake daily on paleotrack.com as exactly as possible Quest 2: at least 5 days per week a serving of raw vegetable and fruit Quest 3: at least 3 time per week scrambled or hard boiled eggs Life Quest: Spend some time with real persons outside of work at least 2 hour per week Oh and I will try to write a little story around it/move my report to a fantasy world. I don't have a history in writing things, but I always wanted, too. It will be good exercise for my english skills, too as I'm not a native speaker. "Damn, I have to get my shit together if I want to survive this," Kiazi thought while looking at her food storage. It was already two weeks since the THING happened. Until now she and her partner hid in their apartment, hoping that somehow everything would get better. But it didn't. It only got worse. Now the food storage was empty and she felt somehow empty, too. She has to build up some energy to master life in this broken world. The door of the food storage room made a loud noise when Kiazi closed it with emphasis.
