  1. I'm still here. I've just been so busy lately. This new job is crazy. I'm a regional IT consultant/technician for a major (unnamed) retail chain, and I work about 80-100 hours a week. I haven't even been to the gym in about a week and a half, but on average I walk about 15,000-20,000 steps a day, so I'm thinking that makes up for it. I'm still eating better, with fewer and fewer cheats. I can honestly feel a difference when I eat shitty, compared to when I eat better. I haven't given up, and I'm still working to achieve my goals, I just don't always have time to log onto the internet away from work. When your job is the internet, it's harder to find it recreational. I've been good about energy drinks, I haven't drank any since my last check in. I haven't been to the gym, but I more than make up for it by being on my feet and carrying around computers for 10-12 hours a day. lol I have been paying closer attention to my WW points, though I might have gone over them a couple times. Buffet's are my family's favorite, but they are my downfall. As infrequent as they are, once a week is more than enough. I've made the mistake of hitting the buffet with the kids at least twice since I started this challenge, and I always eat like a starved ox. Other than that, I have held fast to my weight watchers points. I always regret cheat meals the next day, so it's becoming more and more rare that I let it happen. MY shirts are fitting a little better, Still not into a 3x yet, but I think I still stand a chance to make it by the 6 week mark.
  2. I own probably at least a half dozen or so shirts from http://www.wickedjester.com/. I really like the look and feel of most of them. What are some of you guys favorite workout shirts and where do I get them? I need to score some new loot and am having trouble finding anything that isn't overly gym-douchebagish or somewhat girly (I'm a guy).
  3. Hey sorry it took me so long to get back to you guys. I've been away on business for about a week and a half and it's been pretty crazy. I must say I've done OK with most of my goals so far, but certainly not exquisite. I had two monsters while I was away on business because I had to be up at 5:30 every morning and work until late in the evening. I will say I only had two during the entire duration of my trip. NOT 2 A DAY. Which is a small feat in and of itself. My gym time during my trip was nil, only because I was not in a hotel with a gym. I did however walk approximately 13,000-15,000 steps a day, according to my pedometer on my GS4, as well as swim laps in the Hotel pool in the evenings. I might have gone over my WW points once or twice because I was eating on the road and never really had time to track my points. Now that I am home, I've been eating better, but still not perfect. But today is payday, ( first one of my new job) so I can finally make a trip to the grocery store to pick up some healthy snacks and get my meal plan back in order. Overall, I'm not completely proud of the way I ate while I was travelling, but severely limited money and time made it hard to eat completely healthy. It is a continuous process though, so I haven't failed yet.
  4. Worked out today. Almost puked on the squat machine.

  5. I weighed in at 368 today, which I am extremely happy about. I was worried the scales might have gone the other way.
  6. Hi, my name is Tim. This is my first time doing a 6-week challenge, so I'm starting out with level 0. I am an IT consultant for a corporation who used to be in a lot better shape. I've gotten used to eating like crap and sitting around all day and am now morbidly obese, tipping the scales at around 375lbs (possibly more, not completely sure at this moment) at 6'2", and I've finally decided I'm tired of it. I've been one of those occasional lurkers here on this site, but I logged on today with the intent of actually doing it. I chose the race of Dragonborn because it's one of the larger races. I'm a really big guy. But I'm also incredibly strong. My max benchpress is currently around 175lbs right now, looking to bump that up. My legpress max is unknown, but I was easily lifting 500lbs without straining the last time I was in the gym. I am 32 and have lived a fairly active lifestyle. Most of my jobs have been manual labor. I was also a semiprofessional skateboarder up until about ten years ago. Not bragging or anything. I'm not anybody you've ever heard of, but I skated a couple competitions locally in Texas. At one of my previous jobs my nickname was "The Ox" because I could effortlessy carry 3-4 times more weight than anyone would even atttempt to carry. I chose the Warrior class for this because I have always been physically strong, even though it's hard to see my muscle through the fat right now. I would like to eventually combine the Warrior and Ranger class, once I build up some dexterity and stamina. Here are my stats Male375 lbs6'2"32 human years old My main quest for this six week challenge: I want to drop a shirt size from 4x down to 3x. ( I want to drop a lot more than that, but in six weeks time, that sounds reasonable.) My secondary goals: No energy drinks these are my kryptonite. Except I love them. I have been known to drink 3-4 energy drinks a day. I've decided that I like sparkling water with natural fruit flavoring. These are ok. Gym 4x per week I want to do at least 20 minutes of cardio per day at least 4x per week, possibly 5 depending on my work/school schedule. Also I will be making rounds on the weight equipment. 2 arm days/2 leg days ( I can't do ab day because of a recently acquired hernia i developed in place of a scar from an appendix surgery) No more than my alloted WW points I am unofficially on the Weight Watchers plan. I am allowed 45 points per day. I know that sounds like a lot, but they recommended 75 for my weight/height/age/etc. 45 points per day works out to be about 2200-2500 calories per day, most of which are high protein/low carb and veggies. I cannot allow myself to go over on my points, I will be reducing my points pretty soon but sometimes I get lazy and dont feel like tracking my points. not allowed in this challenge. Eat more fruits and veggies. My motivation: I have a super sexy fiance, and I have two small kids who are following the example I have set before them. The fat, lazy, complacent example, and that's not okay. BTW, did I mention I have a smoking hot 23 year old nerd girl fiance? I want to give her a sexy manbeast of a husband. So that's my two biggest motivations. Wish me luck.
  7. Hi, I'm Tim. I've been looking over this site with some hesitance before I finally decided to join in. After looking at the RPG IRL page again this morning I finally decide to join in. With my imposing 6'2" physique tipping the scales at around 375 let's just say I'm probably an ogre. But lately I'm eating better, working out, and will soon transcend to warrior class, or maybe a combination of ranger/warrior. My max bench is 175 lbs my max leg press is unknown, but last time I lifted I was easily lifting 500 lbs with my legs. I am an IT consultant who has spent most of my life doing manual labor and playing video games. At my previous job I was known as The Ox, because I could carry 3-4 times the amount of weight anybody else was willing to try and carry. In my younger years, I was a semiprofessional skateboarder, not anybody you've ever heard of, but I skated locally in Texas. I'm a powerhouse who developed an eating disorder and am now morbidly obese, and looking to get back to being healthy. I'm currently using the weight watchers method eating 45 points per day, but looking to cut back. I know 45 points sounds like a lot, if you know anything about WW, but they recommended 75 points for my size and weight/height, so according to that I should be losing just by eating, not to mention weight training and cardio. It works out to admit 2200-2500 calories a day, and I try to eat high protein/low carb with lots of veggies.
