  1. have fun!! A whole week of camping sounds wonderful
  2. Welcome to the academy, padawan murra_tekal! It's great that you're seeing the need to take care of yourself - honestly, it's the only way you can continue to care for anyone else well too. Don't stress too much with setting up your attribute system, I'm still in the process of tweaking mine and I know others who have been here longer are tweaking theirs continually as well. Looking forward to seeing your progress!
  3. ^^^ This was where you started - merely weeks ago!!! And here is where you are now - just over a month later. I think this deserves a round of applause Well done my friend, well done! Can't wait to see the next leg of your journey
  4. Agreed, it's a tougher workout if you run it in a circuit instead of waiting between sets. Plus I like to squeeze my workout into a compact time - I don't want to spend an hour or 2 on what I can do in a half hour; I'd rather finish the strength and do something else for the extra time - maybe hop on the bike or got outside and do some rolls or MA/parkour training.
  5. I'm waaay to self-conscious to go out in a bikini yet; maybe once I don't have rolls :/ Though even then not sure I'll be comfortable, it feels too much like underwear to me
  6. Have you iced the elbow at all? That might help knock down some swelling and get it to mend quicker, along with rest (yes, we're all going to tell you that one - only because we care) But that's some epic success on your goals!!!
  7. "ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!" Watching her was awesome!!! Extremely inspirational, hopefully one day I get to follow in her pawprints
  8. Dad just got an appointment for thursday afternoon, though it doesn't sound like they're planning a biopsy. We'll see what happens. Workout for the day: Yoga: 20 min Bike: 3 miles (to&from Century park) 20 minutes of balance and precision at the park BW rows: [7] [7] [6] Todays dinner
  9. Toothless and Cloudjumper were adorable... I think Toothless found a new dragon-bestie, and it was adorable =^-^= I've wanted a nightfury for sooo long now, gah!!! Lots of traveling? Neato!! I kinda tend to be stuck here, I want to start traveling soon though. And woot for the 5 mile run!!!
  10. On the plus side, you can pinpoint a job and say "that one, please" I'm with you - I know my words can be supereffective, but I'm horrible about making myself actually use them. Great to hear how helpful they are being for you!
  11. you&me both; yay for the accountability of posting progress (or lack thereof) on the forums, right?
  12. Yay for Doctor Who scarves!! Are you knitting or crocheting it? Can't wait to see pics
  13. That video was pretty inspiring, thanks for sharing Awesome work on the rope class. Not gonna lie, I could mistake you for a librarian - but only because my librarian friend is just as obnoxious as I am and has a black belt I totally understand the nervousness wearing new styles out - I know I'll be nervous when I can fit into my corsets and belted clothes
  14. Onwards and upwards!!! Lol thanks for the encouragement I'd hoped someone would get a kick out of the 'planking' post. so far it's been really helpful, but now I need to start making sure I get everything put away and keep it there so the room doesn't revert to its previous form. 'cause it's a monster if I don't tame it ^^; Hoping to start using the bike more than the car for transportation, so that should help the weightloss and the miles. And the gas... 'cause gas is expensive. Arigatoo gozaimasu I'll have to remember ganbatte kudasai - I feel like Sensei may have used it, but I hadn't remembered it. The mini-quests are all going a lot better so far this week - food's been spot on even (woot!) Organization is such a struggle for me... I suck at maintaining it longterm, so I'm trying to stop sucking at it - especially since it effects my entire life (if I count time organization, anyways) now time to do some Japanese Oh! 2 things I forgot to mention: 1) I did some balance-kicks at the park (standing on 1 foot on a small raised platform, 10 kicks before the kicking foot was allowed to touch back down), which felt super rusty but was really fun too. 2) got to weigh myself on one of those super-accurate doctor type scales yesterday, 200lb even. I may be under the 200 mark by next week!!!! (whether I'll have an accurate scale is another matter entirely)
  15. it's super nice, but I kinda wish there was more stuff there to climb on. I'd love a net, rope ladder or a grown-up sized climbing dome.
  16. Huzzah for loosing an inch!!! Those things are hard to get rid of. 20 minutes of puppy brushing sounds very therapeutic. Fleas are not good though, so hopefully those get taken care of soon - and I'm impressed that you realize how much they can affect health! Most people don't realize that.
  17. I'll be sticking with the assassins since that's where the grand majority of my goals fit But definitely have had a lot of encouragement from the other guilds, especially the adventurers. And wow, the 28th huh? Time to get plotting
  18. The whole place gets to be your playground, right? I used to worry about that too, i'm starting to get less worried about it though, especially since one that I frequent is actually and adult fitness park
  19. You're welcome As for how you missed it... I'm a ninja
  20. Sounds like you're getting right back on track and not letting the wanderings and wedding derail your longterm success As for pullups, if you're in the woods for your run, you could always find a nice, low-hanging branch. <1000 pushups... man, I feel out of shape lol. I'm hoping to build back up to 100/wk by the end of the month!
  21. So hard to get people to get the difference between "I train in MA" and "I'm a violent person" some days I get a lot of people who are like "Oh, you do/did karate? should I be scared?"
  22. Alright, workout for today was a lot more structured than it has been, and combining strength into 1 session 3x/week - (GhostBird, kidnapped your workout layout a bit) 10 min Yoga to warmup, Squats: [12] [12] Lunges: [10] [10] Pushups: [10] [9] Inv PullUps: [6] [5] Dips: [7] [6] Leg Raises: [10] [10] Flutter kicks: [10] [10] (didn't have time to go to the park for inverted BW rows, or to add a 3rd set in) Got to ride to work today as well, so that's 2 miles in. And ouch! Glad to have a set to work off of to start organizing and quantifying my workouts though Made the first dinner I prepped over the weekend (recipe here; it was marvelous) - and checked my macros on Spark People - all in their range today! I think that's a first for me, and I was ecstatic. May have to make that one again next week for 2 days instead of 1. Sadly, took the frozen lunches in to work today, only to find out that there will be no power in the building tomorrow. So at home they remain until Wednesday, but it was nice today to have them there and ready. At least I'll know they're there after tomorrow! No news from Dr's on Dad yet; making an appointment to get biopsy #3 done here soon we hope, Mom hasn't told me if they've set a date yet, and since she's the queen of organized that probably means it hasn't been set yet *sigh* definitely learning some patience the hard way.
