  1. Writing these down so they're here, right now I'm at a 39" waist (pretty sure I was at 42", didn't write them down earlier), 13" upper arm around the bicep, 27" thigh and 46" hip. This way I can look back on here and say "I lost x inches!!" 4 mi bike hike, 20 min yoga, squats, and found out I can do wall-walks today
  2. Progress update - found out I can do a wallwalk today, and had my body almost completely vertical - arms got a bit shaky, but that was amazing to feel. Managed to do 20 min of p90x's yoga dvd today for my DEX stat, reminds me how much flexibility I have to win back, but it's encouraging to think that if I stick with it I'll get it back soon. Started doing written Japanese this week along with the spoken - it's official, whatever language I speak, I'll still be an excellent doctor...
  3. And probably at the end of the challenge
  4. Bravo!! As someone watching her dad fight diabetes and watching Mom try to help him (my dad's a bit stubborn when it comes to help), staying healthy for your family is amazing
  5. If you know someone in the area that you could pay for the time you'll be gone to take care of the livestock and farm who knows what they're doing, that would help. I've had several people I know use me like that when they've gone for vacations etc
  6. Thanks That's what I keep trying to tell myself, I just need to add a tablespoon of patience to my smoothies... I'll make sure not to tell my cat you thought he was a rabbit This made my day (he acts like a dog anyways... it's all very complicated)
  7. Just popping in to say So true - according to the BMI I was 20-30lb overweight when I was in shape 'cause I have a lot of muscle, and sizewise I've had times that I weighed less, but wore larger clothes, 'cause I had more fat and less muscle. I was a bit confused at first too, but it looks like you put the points where they make sense (and always remember that the lvl points are more for fun than anything else) so if you're really quick but not terribly strong, put more on your DEX than STR etc.
  8. Glad to have ya back! Perfectly good way to be spiteful. When in doubt, shoot it in the face. Or the knee. With an arrow, of course
  9. Hey Asa Dropping in from the Assassins to say hi & good luck, and congrats on the progress so far. I can't imagine life without chiro, but mine's always given me exercises and tried to keep me going without visiting the office every other week, but I've also been very blessed to have amazing DC's that have gotten me up and walking vertically again a couple of times.
  10. Belated happy birthday, and I'm with Jothra - how the flack did I miss TURTLESSS!!!!
  11. Retook Strengths Finder for a workshop I'm doing with my church - ir's really weird, my # 1 became my # 5, and 2 completely changed

Is that like one of those spiritual gifts test?

Nope, it's a practical strengths test, more along the way your mind works. I.E. mine from the new test are Restorative (FixItFelix!), Strategic (K, here's plan A, if that doesn't work here's B-G), Activator (Let's do this!), Ideation (connect the dots) and Input (know ALL the things!)

  12. Love that pic - it just says "Rawr, I'm running in the woods, covered in mud, kicking some tail and LOVING THIS!!!" That's awesome that you guys finished the race as a team too, that'll be some awesome memories to look back at
  13. Hey! Progress is going slower than I'd like (story of my life, I'm horrible at patience) but right now I'm focusing on doing something every day, so that's a huge step in the right direction!! Got to 7(!!!!!) reverse pull-ups yesterday, which surprised the crap outa me - last week I could only do 3-4 before Gravity won! so either I was wussing or my body's figuring out stuff, but either way it made me really happy. Oh, that's hard - picking one language out of sooo many If you do Spanish I can speak that one too, albeit a bit rustily, and I'll gladly post en espaniol asi podemos ver como se va (in spanish so we can see how it's going). Though any of those would be amazingly awesome, I think speaking more languages is an amazing thing for anyone. As far as other challenge progress goes, still fighting to get my body to go to bed&sleep early enough but slowly winning the battle, and probably doing about 80% paleo right now and keeping track on SparkPeople and been within my range other than this past weekend, so I'd say winning at the moment!!
  14. Hey, just dropping in to check and see how goes the progress The weight session you have on here sounds pretty rigorous, that's frigging awesome!!!
  15. Just checked, they have interwebs in Patagonia YUUUSSS!!! *grabs a bib and a pound of butter*
  16. MANYMANYMANYMANY congrats on the pull-up!! W00t!! Speaking from experience, non-working shoulders suck very badly - please, feel more than free to give your body the rest it needs when it asks for it, it's so much better than having to completely stop and let it heal from a massive injury! (don't coddle it if it's just being lazy either, but there's a huge difference between the 2)
  17. Had to look up the Collecting Underpants article - now it makes sense! Books and clothes are both going to be hard things for me to go through; I've lived my whole life hanging on to books especially (and I don't have a kindle yet), and the clothes I'm waiting 'cause I don't want to get rid of the small ones then have to go shopping again ^^; but that'll sort itself with the fitness goal Wow, an empty bookcase?! Impressive! &good luck with the manliness challenge, though that's one challenge I will never accept
  18. Haha you had to say it: Lol in that case, can I have this one? I promise to love him forever and eternity <3 Hmm... do I hear 2016 anyone?
  19. I believe he is now the new Dread Pirate Roberts around here (The last one will be retiring and living like a king in Patagonia)
  20. Lol soon as I get there, I'll let ya know - been following Tapp Brothers and Ronnie Shalvis on YouTube for a while and they have some awesome starter pointers (that I mostly haven't acted on till now) that I'm going to try to use, and it's pretty nice 'cause it's not like they throw you in and say k, now do a backflip Not that they're the only sources to use, they're just the ones I found that I really liked
  21. Got further ahead in my reverse pull-ups today (7!! Woot). Got in an 8mi bikeride, may do some light yoga once it cools down a bit here. Now to go study some Japanese *meanders off to study corner* Also wanted to put this on here - 'cause one of these days, I WILL be able to do all this stuff
  22. In response to the ninja shark: Also, congrats again Hazard
  23. Congrats Hazard! Guild leader = awesome! Also, Flight of Dragons keeps going through my head, so here's a dragon offering
  24. Following for the awesomeness of fightclub and minimalism; I'm planning for one of the next challenges to add "getting rid of crap" as my side goal. Also looking forward to reading progress on your inversions - I'm still in the process of working up to pulling myself up, so it's cool to see people who've hit that goal and are finding the next goals
