Nice work everyone! This morning I logged in at 178.4 (down 13.2 lbs). I am pleased that the weight continues to move. I have noticed a few things. First, Monday morning weigh-ins end up being the worst for me most weeks. Sunday is hangout time with some of our best friends and it actually ends up being some of the worst days as I eat and drink Sunday nights. I think I retain a bit that comes off pretty rapidly in the coming days. Last night was certainly one of those, so I won't be shocked if I actually had a better week last week than indicated. Second, tracking is absolutely key for me. MFP has been what has made my success possible. Watching the calories has a radical affect on my i-ntake. It also has been pushing me to work out more. If I want to enjoy a nicer dinner with a few glasses of wine, no problem, just lace up the running shoes and hit the pavement. My big hope is that once we have completed this challenge, I will reset the goals on MFP for maintaining (or maybe even dropping 1/4 lb per week) and staying after it. Third, I think the week I did the side challenge of drinking water was one of my best weeks, not only in weight loss, but also in energy and concentration. I need to keep after this, even though it is a pain in the ass. Fourth, my lbs loss is slowing down, but I am wondering (and expecting) I am building muscle through increased running and body weight exercising. I don't even use the body fat calculator on our digital scale as I think those are so flawed. Considering a set of calipers. Keep at it everyone...
