  1. Thanks a lot farflight. I am going to keep at it this time. Not going to give up. Only been 2 and a half weeks. But I am happy with my discipline.
  2. I didn't show up here as I couldn't bear to write about my failures. Had some personal issues, so I gave up on my clean eating. Ate a lot of sugary things and bread, bagel stuff. Added even more weight. I can see a visible stomach now. I used to be OK but got worse. I was so upset with myself. I called the local gym and got a deal. I am done with home workout. I have started stronglifts 5X5 again. M, T, W - Add weights every time. simple but powerful. I did this in 2014 and gave up. I wanted to see if I can keep my end strong before posting. I have done 2.5 weeks without skipping a day and without skipping the weight increment. This forced me to eat healthier. I am still with Fruit smoothie. I only had 3 bread slices with Nuterlla 3 times in the last 2 weeks. No any other sweets. Salad for lunch. Chicken and eggs to keep me full, Fruit smoothie is my quick breakfast and "coming home from work" meal. This doesn't fill me. But I am ok for now. Now I have a bigger challenge. I am 5' 6" and 165 lbs now - 38 years old. life just passes by. Need to do it this time.
  3. This totally makes sense. I crave sweets a lot. Tim bits, doughnuts, a lot of things. I am trying to change that. I am going to leave all the sweet except sugar in coffee out and see how it works out for me. last night I was working and had raisin bread with nutella. Felt aweful as soon as I finished eating and felt full.
  4. Thanks for this. I am trying again after 3 years. You are right. squeezing the butts and pushing the head forward when the bar goes up is the key. I have added 10 pounds to the 45lbs bar so far, it hasn't hurt me yet.
  5. July 28, 2017 This week was not bad, but good either. I did 2 days. Monday and Wednesday. I skipped today as I was totally sore. Not sure if i can catch up today evening. First picture I took was on June 19th - I look at my body today and nothing much has changed. Deeply demotivating. Feels like I am not getting any where. It may be the diet. I still eat starch for dinner - Something made of rice flour or wheat flour. May be that is what it is. May it is the 2 coffees I have a day. May be the cookie I eat once in 3 days. Or may be it is a lot of fat I have accumulated all these years. it is taking a long time get rid of. May be because I skipped workouts in the middle. Last 3 weeks have been consistent. May be, I will just give 2 weeks and see what happens.
  6. Thanks I will look in to those three.
  7. July 21, 2017 This week has been great as well I did the same weekdays and sunday (5 days) On top of the early morning workouts, i added additional at night. 15 mins. Now I have the eagerness to do it every day. I need to work on my diet. Get it cleaner. Also wondering about the workout schedule as I regularly seem to struggle with time. I added this thread. Let;s see if it works.
  8. Hi, Is it ok to workout with breaks instead of working out in one stretch of time? Like below: 6:00 pm - 6.05 pm - Squats 10 X 3 6.30 - 6.40 - Single hand row (10 X 2 hands) X 3 7:00 - 7:05 - Single Single hand shoulder press (10 X 2 hands) X 3 7:30 - 7:40 - Pushups (5 X 3) With kids at home, this would work better for me. But is this effective? would it give results? Regards, Shiyam
  9. July 14th, 2017 It was the best week so far. I worked out on M, W, T and F skipped Tuesday. 20 mins every day. I am increasing the weight. I think I can add more routines as well. My body seems to respond better. I am not that tired. It is giving me energy. Its good.
