  1. Love it! I haven't played D&D for a while so looking forward to this! I'm stealing from my current Dragon Age Inquisition build because I was thinking of how cool it would be to play her! Name: Toran Race: Elf

  3. Last time on the Rebellion I'm back! My last couple challenges were a struggle to get through. I was tired, depressed, and fighting to find a way to come home. My spouse and I were living 3000 miles from home, and desperately trying to figure out work/jobs to make it happen. A miracle dropped out of the sky in March and I moved back home in April. We did it guys! My spouse and I are living in a gorgeous city in Northern Ontario close to our families (3 hours drive) and both have great jobs. I can't begin to express how lucky I feel or how grateful I am that we were able to make the move. The darkness lurking around inside the last couple years from being so fucking homesick all the time is gone. I can see my family and best friends whenever I want, go family camping, canoe with my best friends, and do all the things I desperately missed doing. I still wake up in our apartment thinking that this is all a dream and that its not real. So we made it there and back again! This quest is about coming back again, and finding out what to do next. I have been so focused on getting home the last couple years I was kind of at a loss for what to do next. How to actually make plans and settle down and building a forever home. Main Quest Health, wholeness and healing in body, mind, and spirit. Motivation I will face each day with an open heart, be adventurous in all the ways that piqued my curiosity, have specific long-term goals, and practice kindness and compassion towards myself. I will meet myself where I am with love, compassion, and without judgement. I will celebrate the smallest of successes and be gentle with myself if I fail, focusing instead on learning what works for me. I am a unstoppable, untamed and wild force of nature when I go through life with all of my mind, body and soul. Challenge Aim: Taking some inspiration from Biblo Baggins, who made it there and back again from the Misty Mountains as we ponder the future and what's next for me in the shire! I find it ironic that we know much about Biblo's life during his adventure to Erebor and back, but what happened to him in the time after until Frodo arrives in the LOTR? Now I am not a hobbit (I'm 6'0!!!) and have always related more to the elves in LOTR, but re-read the Hobbit this summer and related to alot of what Biblo was feeling. Feeling inspired for a hobbit challenge! Quest 1: Go Forward? The only thing to do! My fitness level wasn't were it was 6 months ago. I lost my consistency and habit of working out and miss it! My first quest is to complete 3 level 2 bodyweight workouts from the academy a week, for a total of 12 workouts. Quest 2: Party Like Hobbits! My spouse and I are in the midst of a 30 day challenge to fix our eating habits. I got out of control on sugar and junk food this summer and partied like hobbits with too much alcohol! Our challenge is to not eat sugar, chips, chocolate, or alchohol or pop for 30 days. 10 days in, things are going well and I'm working it into my challenge to keep motivated. Quest 3: A Morning to be Good on I have a never ending battle with sleeping in too late and not getting out of bed on time. It's been a struggle for as long as I remember. So this challenge, I'm going to try a tiny habit! On thursdays, I'm not going to sleep in past my alarm or reset it to a later time. Period. Any other day it doesn't matter (yet, will tackle it one day at a time).

Hello fellow Adventurers! My name is Cassie, I'm a Canadian Rebel originally from Ottawa living in BC for the time being. I've been around the rebellion for about a year and a half, and decided that it was high time that I had a respawn after a rough couple months. I've trained with the Rangers and Assassins in the past, but wanted to give the Adventurers a try this challenge. I love adventuring and am always out and about exploring in my free time. My hobbies include skiing, canoeing, hiking, yoga, fantasy books, board games, and anything related to chocolate! Looking forward to adventuring with you all!
  5. Last time on the Rebellion I didn't finish my last challenge, and have been struggling over the last couple months with adulting. I got laid off, had some difficult family situations, and am generally exhausted with life right now. After a couple months away from the rebellion, I'm ready to come back and get my life back in order! Most of these goals are recycled from my last challenge, but I'm feeling like they are want I need right now. Main Quest: Health, wholeness and healing in body, mind, and spirit. Challenge Aim: This challenge, I'm focusing on cultivating a new hope as I heal and recover from the last couple months. Quest 1: Grit I haven’t consistently done any strength training in over 3 months. This challenge, I’m a woman with a plan, and employing some grit to get it done. My aim is to complete 1 strength training work out per week. I know that I won't get too far with only 1 day per week, but I'm really looking forward to building this habit up. Goal: 1 strength workout per week Quest 2: Growth My mornings need to be kicked up a notch. I’m struggling to get out of bed onto time, and feel exhausted after I get out of bed. To tackle my morning blues, I’m modifying my last challenge goal of 2 mins daily yoga into at least one daily movement (i.e. one downward dog). It can be whatever my body needs that day, but I have to move! Goal: 1 daily movement after waking up Quest 3: Gratitude I want to show my body gratitude for everything that it does for me on a daily basis. Good food is the way to go! I want to try a new paleo recipe every week for the rest of the challenge. Goal: 3 new paleo recipes (1/week) Quest 4: Grace My hubby and I are in a time of preparation and waiting for the next major transition in our lives: possibly moving home in the new year. My family and best friends live 3000km from where we are, and my heart is telling me that it is time to go home. In order to go home, I need to find a job! My goal is to send out 1 resume per week. Goal: 1 resume per week.
  6. Bast! I'm so happy to see that you are doing well. I love your challenge, and am going to be following you along with your epic adventures. How is your fibro going?
  7. Hey guys, hope your challenges are going well! I've been down for the count with the flu, a work trip, more flu, internet outages and a general lack of motivation the last 2 weeks. Blerg. How is everyone's week 3 and 4 going?
  8. Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with MFP. Have you thought of simplify things and writing what you eat down or taking photos instead of tracking calories? Have a great week!
  9. Sounds like you had a great first week! I love your yoga goal, that's so awesome. Have a great week!
  10. Sounds like you had a great first week! I love your mobility goal, I may steal that to give a whirl *playful*. Have a great week!
  11. Sounds like you had a great first week! I love how you set up your tracking system, I may steal some ideas *playful*. Have a great week!
  12. Week 1 Update! I'm late in posting my week one update, but cest la vie. I'm spending less time on the fun internet things (like Nerd fitness!) and more time on resume and adulting things. Turns out, I'm pretty burnt out after spending time on electronic screens all day. So last wee was really hard. Work was really stressful (budget cuts, production downtime, etc etc) and I'm anxious. My year contract is up in January and I've gotten unofficial feedback that they are not sure if they will keep me going because of budget cuts. So stressful! I'm taking this as a sign that maybe the universe is telling me to get moving and that's its time to go home. I've been collecting underpants and "looking for a job" and not doing very many actionable things (ahem, applying for jobs...) because of bad timing and fear, but now is the time! More details on the Grace summary below. Weekly Summary: Quest 1: Grit Didn't do the Diesel shoulder rehab last week because of low energy levels, but I did 3 session of pull up training and am happy with that. Going to call that a win. Quest 2: Growth Moved last week in the morning about 50% of the time - but enjoyed it when I did. I've got a two day streak going this week and am really loving the yoga in the morning without it being too overwhelming. Quest 3: Gratitude I helped a coworker out who was in a bind last week even though things were crazy, and am feeling good about that. Win. Quest 4: Grace Guys, I rocked this one! I applied for 3 posted jobs, got my resume in order (for the time being), and contacted 3 potential people for the networking things. Awesome! I'm not totally happy with my resume yet but am 60% of the way there, and don't want perfection to keep stopping me from applying for cool jobs at home. Overall, a stressful but successful week. Here's to a better week!
  13. You guys are awesome. Thank you all for stopping by this week to check in! Unfortunately, this week was awful for me. Something at work came up and exploded in my face, and I've been dealing with the fall out all week and feeling terrible about what happened. Will post a weekly update with more details tomorrow, but in the mean time here is some motivation!
  14. Got 30km so far in this week, and am planning a long walk tomorrow to catch up on some mileage!
  15. I'm SOOOO EXICITED FOR THIS MINI!!! Lord of the rings is my favourite fandom and I may have happy danced across my office when I saw this today...
  16. I'm in! I haven't finished the last of my 3 challenges and am in some need of support and the occasional but kicking to see things through to the end. This such a shiny idea! I love firefly, and am most like Kaylee with a sprinkling of Zoe depending on the situation.
  17. Tomorrow is the start of this challenge and I`m so excited!
  18. Thanks for stopping by! Thanks for the encouragement, its going to be an awesome challenge! I had so much fun writing up my challenge this time! I`m exicited for tomorrow to start
  19. I'm in! I started a meditation habit last challenge and wanted to build on it somehow, this is a great idea! Will post resources once I'm off my phone.
  20. Sorry to hear that you have been in pain, hope things get figured out soon! Way to go on an awesome challenge. Reading up on your thread today and seeing your dedication to your goals is what inspired me to come back for another challenge!
