  1. Thanks for encouragement everyone. I had changed my challenge to just continuing to walk (no longer run) at least 3 miles every day. I just returned from my vegas trip in the final week of the challenge. Over that week of walking from casino to casino I lost another 5 pounds making my total 12 pounds for the challenge. I also, since I decided to focus on my poker/blackjack play leading up to the trip, turned a profit while I was there that more than covered the cost of the vacation Turned out very successful after all, even though I wasn't able to continue to hone my parkour I will be able to get back to it again in about 4 more weeks and with less weight to lift and carry. Thanks again to everyone for challenging me to stick with it and encouraging me to push past the injury. I hope to do the next 6 week challenge that I am able and maybe this time with some well learned lessons about approaching these moves and techniques safely.
  2. so dropping what was promising to be an awesome roleplay character... I'm going to have to bow out of the challenge. I know I haven't been posting but I have been keeping up with my routine, lack of resolve isn't the issue. I unfortunately broke my hand after bad placement of a kong vault... then landed on my fist when I hit the ground. fractured my 5th metacarpal and sprained the wrist pretty bad. I'll need to stay off it so my exercise regimen will change drastically, and I'm not going to push myself so hard so I don't think I want to hold to the challenge parameters and add extra stress. I am happy to report that the diet and exercise have already yeilded awesome results: lost 7 pounds moved from 25lbs dumbbells to 30lbs was able to complete a single pullup again seen a difference in muscle tone in arms and shoulders thanks everyone for the support to get even that accomplished. After this heals I'll definitely be back for more in the next challenge!
  3. In deep thought and working on my primary communication module. Rest assured I am still on this journey.

Glad to hear from ya! ;)

  4. Analyzing interactionQueueing responseSachiko... I didn't know I was lost. Was just scouting ahead, I'm in need of a few new parts before I'll be able to scale the cliffs of insanity and was asking around about a blacksmith, or a locksmith, or any kind of smith... so far this town has sore need of one it seems. Better join you and the rest and move on to the next town. In the meantime though try one of these! I've never seen one prepared quite like this: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/avocado-baked-eggs/ Delicious right? Let's press on, the night has been restful but I should take another reading on my performance soon.

The muscle group being most neglected by my whole routing I believe is my biceps, since I cannot perform a pull-up and this is a necessary skill for me I'm going to have to find some exercise to put into the BBW that will help with the pull-up motion in the meantime. My thanks for asking!
  6. LOGOS-88 system log 07302014858 error detected: toxic carbohydrate levels high initiate records BEGIN LOG Yesterday was the first day I've seen how much the atrophy and damage have taken its toll. Eager to prove myself to my new fellowship, I ran up ahead about 2 miles to scout our path. I eventually came to the bottom of a cliff hewn into the hillside rampant with crags and often what even appeared as steps. After my run I already found my endurance was not what it used to be but nonetheless resolved to scale as far up the rock as I could. I leapt easily from ledge to ledge but could hear my artificial respirator grinding and creaking from the strain. I finally came upon a precipice that I could only reach with my hands, so I jumped up and grasped it, that was when I realized: I COULD NO LONGER PULL MYSELF UP! At the academy my arms were legendary, I held records for climbing exercises and pull ups, now whether from the weight of water still logged in my chassis or the drastic amount of wear and rust on my arm components I could not even lift myself ONCE! What good is an assassin who cannot scale walls, much less a craggy cliff face? This filled me with deep shame as I slowly returned down the cliff and headed back towards the rest of the company. Along the way, Though I had traded for some fish from the river, I found myself also craving potato and in my state of weakness shamefully fried and ate them well off the road hoping no one would see. I camped alone and though my toxic carb reading is high, I am lucky to have sustained no immediate organic damage, though I do not yet have the courage to take a total weight reading. I sit now in a tavern, breaking my fast before I return to my new companions, taking solace in my renewed willpower. For today I have refused the innkeeper's bread and ale, which would surely compound all of my recent disparities. I must carry on and find a way to regain my arm strength, possibly replace a damaged hinge or two to smooth the resistance. END LOG
  7. Seems we have a tank in our company. Excellent! It's a pleasure to join you and the others in storming the castle. I have been trying to keep from eating the toxic grains myself but find it difficult oftentimes. We must be vigilant. So instead, anybody want a peanut?
  8. This is good. To take a castle with so few, assassin skills become quite valuable. I'll be glad to have another as a part of the company.
  9. Quest complete analysis: goals meet S.M.A.R.T. protocols. returning to primary objective.
  10. Look I don't mean to be rude but this isn't as easy as it looks so I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't distract me. Good, the sarcasm unit is functioning, thank you that was an important test that I had yet to complete. Repairs are going well thus far, in fact I may be joining your company in the castle storming very soon. At first though I did find the notion inconceivable but I don't think that word means what I originally thought it means. error detected: superfluous quote usage... to avoid buffer overflow retaining further jokes for subsequent posts.

  12. LOGOS-88 System Log 07292014924 no errors detected initiate records BEGIN LOG Yesterday my diagnostics returned sufficient results that I can call my initial recovery phase complete. And none too soon, I would have atrophied from sheer hunger were it not for the charity of a wandering golden hind. Seemingly wandering I should say, she kindly offered me apples to curb my craving for the toxic grain fields as I had depleted most of my resources. After this she went off and I thought I would not see her again, but she returned and in force! Accompanying her a fellowship of 7, a good omen no doubt but I am nonetheless on my guard, lest their intent be hostile. The foremost of the group introduced herself by the name of ChristArtist; she mentioned the 7 of them are intent on storming a castle off in the distance, for spoils and glory (and something about "To blave"? I wasn't really paying mind to that part), and graciously they offer company with them. As remote as this rivertown is, I suppose a little glory would not harm my anonymity amongst my own people and the spoils may certainly aid in my journey north. Furthermore my condition has improved leaps and bounds, quite literally. I barely feel the soreness in my legs anymore and my energy and spinal integrity are well enough for basic precision drills again, though lifting my bodyweight as of yet has done little to reduce it. I wasn't expecting an actual quest anytime soon and the castle is far, but I don't perceive a particular challenge compared to what I know I have accomplished before in top condition. Though an odd conglomeration this group is (I'm not sure if some have seen battle, though they look determined to start one), I find solace too in my weakened state to have the safety of numbers. My survival may well depend on them and their success may well depend on me. ChristArtist once more beckons, "you are going to help us storm the castle" My reply, "As you wish" END LOG error detected: final reference out of context, please specify that when you say "As you wish" what you meant was... "LET'S DO THIS!!!"
  13. LOGOS-88 system log 072520141035 no errors detected initiate records BEGIN LOG: My initial diagnostic was more optimistic than continued experience has determined. I attempted to start combating the basic muscle atrophy 3 days ago but have determined the damage far more extensive than I originally hoped. It may not be 3 more days until I can complete the full regimen and the pain receptors connecting to my lower anatomy have been on the fritz while they adjust to my newfound state of activity. Nevertheless it is imperative that I continue to attempt the lower body routine in preparation for my journey upriver, though I have determined to rest often and introduce the rehabilitation by degrees until the 28th. I have seen modest improvement in these areas already but not without struggle. I have set up rudimentary camp and it is peaceful here for the time being. I have found luck in locating wild apples and carrots, consuming mainly them along with eggs I have pilfered from free-range nests as well as salted beef that survived the river, and a wild boar foolish enough to wander within bowshot. I have resisted the nearby grain field and know that the potatoes will be even more damaging to my fuel system in spite of how much easier they are to find. The river water serves as my only drink as wine and beer is not only counter-productive to my goal, but also nowhere to be found in the wilderness. No measurable progress. END LOG
