  1. iTrue, that is why eveyone wants to retire there.
  2. yay, glad to see you back. Avocadoes are a nommy way to ward off leg cramps
  3. 5 minutes with only a short break is pretty impressive for the mobilty squat. Its always the achilles that starts to cramp on me.
  4. shrimp for breakfast sounds nom nom! SHrimp is a higher fat fish too, so double bonus there. Note to self: have shrimp for breakfast
  5. Ha, I know what you mean when I won last time I was like??? But it is just as much as being the motivator and accomplishing your goals as being badass. Though anyone dressed as an Assassin and doing parkour does qualify as being badass
  6. Wwit, wait I thought California was the and of eternal sushine. Surely you must be mistaken!
  7. Ha, this made me laugh and cry. I hate how early it gets dark. It just makes me want to crawl into bed. Sigh. Trying to enjoy the delights of winter more but I find it difficult
  8. Chopping up trees will be a great workout. Is your parkour group still doing stuff? Hanging out with them might help getting out of the funk, Congrats on being the guild champion! http://www.nerdfitness.com/community/showthread.php?20692-Vote-for-your-champion! I always enjoy your thread because of all the cool parkour stuff you attempt and just how much fun you have getting fit!
  9. Great job at stopping at one brownie and danish. +100 willpower points Your friend sounds like he gave you a lot of good advice on how to start the business. Hopefully the unpaid internship is short or you can find an intership that pays money. I guess you just do one thing at a time and launch the Tumblr. Can't wait to see more wedding pictures
  10. Glad you did not break your neck or have any other horrible accidents doing your handstand. Awesome that you were able to do it on the grass. Something about doing it outside makes it that much cooler
  11. Something else I do is to use 3/4 regular tea bags and 1/4 herbal something like mint or lemon to flavor and sweeten it
  12. Hmmm... interesting point. I see your point thought makes sense. Then I guess I can be happy that people want healthier food. Side note- I haven't had a twinkie or other Hostess treat in about 10 years. To me, the calories they contained were never worth it because they really just don't taste that good.
  13. Very nice goals-you'll be able to smash this challenge
  14. Have you done the crossfit yet? On the other goals, we have just begun, you have many days to be awesome left.
  15. No, I won't rejoice in a company going under and people losing jobs. I would much rather rejoice when people start to want healthier food and companies listen and change their product to fit that demand,
  16. Goals look good. On the breakfast, there are actually differing opinions on it. My advice is while you are making it a habit take notice of how it makes you feel-does it help you snack less during the day-how does it affect your overall weight and body comp-does it give you more energy to start the day. Then at the end of the challenge, you've made a habit and you can determine how much it helped you, or if really you are a person who does better without breakfast.
  17. Thanks Nuala. I somehow missed that the champions had been announced. Congrats RandomWanderer! You are always an inspiration with your hard work the way you make fitness fun and continually challenge yourself, and the way you encourage others.
  18. Thanks! This is perfect. It is exactly what I was looking for.
  19. Great job on your challenge. You are off to an amazing start. On the Physio I do wonder if it is because of their ongoing nature. What about rewarding yourself with something for doing x many of days? Are there different physio excercises that do the same thing that you could do once in a while to switch it up some?
  20. Ha, not bad BRB, busy LRB. I like to lurk (stakl?) your posts when I need some motivation. When I start giving excuses like I'm too busy, most the people on this board are so young no wonder they can do it, I read your posts and get inspired to just do it. Don't think any nore about the dive bombers, instead fill your mid with thoughts of the Carribean cruise, and maybe your crossfit trainer will pluck THAT out of your brain and tell you you're the winner of an all expenses paid trip to the Carribean.
  21. Tea is Paleo. When you say you want to sweeten it do you mean taking the unsweetened and adding a little sugar or buying it sweetened. If you are adding your own and it is a special treat, do sugar or honey of they have it. I wouldn't order the already sweetened stuff because it has as much sugar as pop.
  22. Here here! I (tried) to go without for the Whole30 to help me sugar detox. As Zorch said make sure it is dark chocolate 50% really doesn't qualify, 70% is a good stepping stone-I try to do at least 80%
  23. I'm working on being able to do a wall handstand and struggling. I can't seem to get vertical. I have an idea-can you guys tell me whether you think it'll help? I know in the handstand you are supposed to be in a hollow position, but when i'm doing the wall hanstand I never think about it, I'm too busy just trying to get in the handstand position. My idea is this: What if i just kick my feet on the wall and don't worry about getting further vertical but instead just practice the hollow hold from that position? Will that help me to develop better form down the road or is just a waste since I'm not even doing a handstand? Any ideas for how to actually cue yourself to be using good form when you're doing the handstand?
