  1. Had my 1 hour Capoeria session last night! It was awesome and filled with self esteem shattering moments. Afterwards in replacement of insanity, I stay a hour after working on some crossfit stuff, stretching, and of core strengthening and balance workouts. My main core one was do a handstand as long a posible, then going to one hand while not tipping myself over..... it happened quite a bit haha. And its spurprising that you balance and speed count more than strength really. But good times, and I trainned in my pull ups a bit, which I are geting better and smoother now. Todays gonna be Muay Thai with a P90x workout session either before or after!
  2. Last night was: P90x: Chest and Back Muay Thai (1 hour session) I am soooooooore haha. But I did do alot better on the P90x than I thought I would (may be due to the fact that I switched to heavy duty resistance bands (bout 40-50lbs most of the time Today is: Capoeria (1 hour session) Insanity: Plyometrics (phase one)
  3. It is a awesome thing to do (although I'm still in the begining stages and look something like a wounded animal trying to do the moves haha). The strength, endurance, and flexibility required to do some of the moves is insane. Although it is funny that everyone just laughs at whatever mistakes are made, so it's a fun class and never becomes to stressfull.
  4. April 9th: Muay Thai (1 hour session) Heavy Bag/Crossfit trainning (45 min session) Notes: ..... I hurt, hahaha. Nah It was actually quite fun, my body is very tight from being out of the sport for so long, but I'll get back into the grove of it soon enough. I have to find my old Muat Thai wraps to reinforce my wrists and forearms again until my arms get used to the impact of hitting stuff once again. April 10th: Muay Thai (1 hour session) - morning Capoeria (1 1/2 hour session) - night Notes: Ever seen a uncoordinated guy dance and do a cart wheel.... that was more of less me. The movements were a bit odd, but it was awesome watching all the stuff that others can do. I'm more or less a basic beginner, still trying to get my body into the hang of it, and finding the right flow (plus the entire dance to do is like constant lunges..... I am not kiding. Do that for 45 minutes straight and tell me how it feels lol). The core work outs were pretty nuts too, but not as impossible as they look to be, and the stretching is great (akin to how people in tae kwon do stretch for the most part, since there is alot of leg work invovled). April 11th: Rest day (in which I havent actually gotten any rest). Didnt sleep at all the night before and now I'm at work. Gonna hit the bed early tonight and if I cant make Muay Thai tomorrow due to getting off work later (it happens), I have p90x chest and back (which I still do even If I got to muay thai, joy).
  5. It depends on the day for me. I usually train at the martial arts facility since they have a cross fit equipment and love new people to join in. I hit up there 5-6 days a week for about 2 hours a day (1 hour is a lesson, either capoeria or muay thai, and the second hour is me working a area I'm lacking in). I also do a second workout at home 3 days a week or more (depending on energy levels) and this is mainly the P90X muscle workouts (since I always get cardio ad the martial arts lessons), plus I have resistance bands, ab roller, and pull up bar to help destory myself whenever I feel the need.
  6. Sup everyone, I'm back at it again and this time I'm try and keep all my stuff up to date. I actually kept up with workouts for last month, I just never had the time to update with work and other things getting in the way. I've also completed Insanity for the most part and have switched up my workouts a bit. I'm currently enrolled in 2 different Martial arts: Muay Thai and Capoeria. both are awesome workouts and the place I go to includes cross fit workouts for those that are into it, so yay for that. I also will be doing P90X and Insanity on days that I cant get to martial arts (due to work or some such), or I will do P90X in addition to them to increase my muscle and stamina. Goals for the month are: -go to martial arts 5-6 days a week 1-2 hour sessions. - keep reducing body fat levels -Build up more strength and stamina -increase my pull up count to 10 (currently can do 3-4) - Eat healthier and keep on top of taking my supplements. will post stats later, gotta go destroy myself at capoeria then hit the heavy bags.
  7. I got it and finished it after a day or two (thank god it was a rest day lol). The games is beautiful to watch, as well as brutal, cause it makes all other games pale in comparison haha. They did leave it open at the end, But I doubt there will be another game, probably just a downloadable expansion at some point. That, or it may be one of those games where you have to beat it on the hards level in order to have more of a ending (which is nearly impossible for someone of my skill level sadly).
  8. LOL, that depends, do you mean huge nerd as : "gawd, hes such a nerd" or "man hes tall.... and a nerd" lol
  9. Of course I will, though I may be kicked out of the con after. Plus I'm not sure if I have the right to do that, Since I dressed as Xerxes like 2 years ago, lol!
  10. I actually really like the Wheel series (and yes it did trail off a bit, but the new books are awesome). I actually own one of the swords from robert jordans personal collection, which is quite awesome since I'm a hge nerd. Theres also a Wheel of time movie in the works at the moment (heard this straight from Robert Jordans wife, lol), so I hope it works out and is good. The Game of thrones series is also freaking epic (altho I hate how they seem to kill off any character I grow to like). I'm still waiting for the book after Feast for Crows..... And you have made my day letting me know HBO has signed for 9 episiodes. I also Like The Sword of Truth Series (and even the show, but that may be cause it reminds me of hercules, and the guy that plays richard is ripped) and the Malazan Book of the Falen series, which I am currently reading.
  11. Today was a semi rest day. After work I was drained, and all I could think of was bed. This could have been due to lack of rest or nutrition the day before. So I gave my body what it demanded. I will pick up the workout I missed tho after work (since its only a half shift). Hopefully everyone else on there is closing in on their goals!
  12. Took down Cardio Resistance last night, finishing up my first month of Insanity trainning. I'm suppose to be doing all Core and balance trainning this week in preparation for moving to the next phase, but I may have to switch it up and bit. Also happened across a Cross-fit center and will try and look up come classes to send a shock to my system. Anyone else out there done it? Any ideas about it, comments, like or hate??
  13. 3/10: Pure Cardio 3/11: Cardio reistance with addition ab workout 3/12: Another Pure cardio day, but instead of doing the dvd, I went on a 2 mile run around a lake....... I suck so much, but the burn was sooooo good! 3/13: I managed to finish up Pure Cardio last night (lake run), but my second workout (Cardio Resistance) was put on hold. I decided it wouldn't help me too much to keep pushing my legs with the pain in my shins. So instead I did 30 minutes of extra stretching and took the muscle relaxers I recieved from my doctors. I'm still feeling it a bit, but it's definitely benifited from the extra rest. So there will be cardio resistance tonight. Also this monday starts my Core and Balance week (feeling like I want to replace some of the workouts with Cardio resistance so I dont go into phase 2 feeling weeker due to the rest time I needed). I will definitely be adding in ab ripper x to power up my core for the final month, cause I know I'm going to need it. Also, not sure how (especially with all the rest I've been taking), the size 36 I just started wearing again is already becoming extremely loose. When I made the last post about it I could barely fit two fingers in the extra space, now I actually need a belt, haha (and thats without even flexing my stomach). I'm guessing the Beach Body Metabolism vitamins are helping out a bit (need to go grab some more food though pretty soon, cause I'm running a bit low on the meats, although I have enough peanut butter for a little while). I also found out Mango's are natures candy (had one back when I was in mexico when I was 5, and couldnt believe I haven't had one since then, cause it was awesome and serves well as a treat for a job well done. Even with the pain in my shin, I've been keeping up with my excercises to increase my strength for the triada challenge with Airborne (gotta look my best haha), and definitely getting some good results. On another note, my jumping power has shot thro the roof since starting Insanity (which had me worried I may actually hit the ceiling and not just the fan attached to it haha). My diet has been fairly constant, and shakeology, powerbars, and protein drinks replace the meals I miss. I drink water Like its my second job, but if I do need some flavor every now and then, I only touch diet drinks, and even then very rarely (the only other drink of flavor is my V8, which i have like 8 bottles on hand all over the house haha). My friends have noticed a change for the better, although I cant seem to talk many of them into trying the Insanity with me (mainly 2 at the moment), but they look out for my and slap my hands when they stray too close to the foods i shouldn't be staring at so longingly. But I'm doing my best, for myself as well as to uphold the faith you guys show in me, and should be rerady for my appointment in may to see if I'll be medically ready for a deployment to iraq/afghanistan through my company. Wish me luck. Anwyay, i'll probably drop a post or two on here before the nights out (ahhh, i do love night shift), but all you guys have fun out there!
  14. Yesterday Was Pure Cardio and today was Cardio Resistance, and it is down! Yay. Althought I really laid into my arms and shoulders today, since I felt they weren't getting enough love. Shin is still acting up, but at least my back wasn't as bad. I did notice on accident that I went down from pants size 38 to 36! I only realized when I put on a pair of 36's on the way to work (haven't worn them since I got out of basic haha), so at least I can tell change iis happening! I cant wait til I need a belt cause they're too loose in the waist! Also I hope I dont shun my workouts due to my games I just bought (damn you nerdiness!!!!) Also need to incorperate more pull-ups into my workout for my 300dc challenge (lots of deadlifts and hanging from a pull up bar), cause I got bragging rights on the line!!
  15. hey everyone, its suppose to be a rest day, but since I missed a workout I added in Carido and Resistance (my favorite workout by far lots of pushup like stuff in addition to cardio). I've noticed my back gets crazy when I do the power jumps (and jumps like it), but as long as a go slow sometimes and keep in under control I keep the issue to a minimum. Now my shins are another story, since they've started hurtin over the last couple days. I had really bad shin splints in the army, so I hate to think these are those same ones, but I make sure after the workouts to do additional stretches and to massage the knee and shin areas to give myself a little comfort. Got a appointmet at the hospital coming up for them to see if I can go to a chiropractor to see wha they can do (either that or more spinal injections.... no thank you). But I'm still pushin hard, feeling the burn in my calfs and thighs (which i swear are getting bigger), and even my tri's (which are starting to look more defined, at least to me). but gotta cut this post short, gotta be up early to go look at a house today, then back to work!
