  1. It feels so good to be back. 8/22 (http://ftcy.me/UDgYFs)
  2. Tracking my workouts through Fitocracy: http://www.fitocracy.com/profile/rmd
  3. Another week down. Was able to set up my squat rack this weekend and got a much needed workout in.
  4. Schmopey, after much consideration I've decided to purchase my own squat rack for the basement. It's now impossible to carry through with my SL5x5 routine -- I went in this morning and was unable to secure the rack for my squats.
  5. Haha. I'm all for it. What say you ?
  6. Thanks ! Maybe we can organize something before summer's end.
  7. Seriously considering making the switch. I went into Supreme this morning, and the power rack was taken (they only have one rack). Needless to say, I couldn't complete my SL5x5 routine.
  8. Yep, I visited the place during the holidays and they corrected me on the name change. It's a great place, but every time I've visited it's been extremely packed. Also seems to get labeled "meet market" every time I mention it.
  9. Absolutely, Schmopey! I just went to Union Jack's for the first time last friday, not too bad. But yes, Supreme is right next to Three Brothers. I've been contemplating joining LifeTime "Athlethic" for a while now, but it's a little expensive for me at the moment.
  10. Hey, sorry for the late reply! I was celebrating my birthday this weekend, and happened to take Monday off to recover. Needless to say...I've been slacking on my workout and water intake, sade. Schmopey, I've got an active membership to Supreme (Columbia Association), but also go to boxing/mma class on Tuesday & Thursday at a small gym off Berger Rd. What about yourself?
  11. Thanks, jofalltrades! I need to check out the DC meetup thread. I'm new to this area so I haven't ventured too much outside of Columbia.
  12. ^ Definitely helps. I'm going to give this a try soon. Thanks.
  13. Day 3 of my quest pretty much complete. Last night, made it to my gym for an intense fight fitness circuit which included some tire flips, heavy ropes, sledge hammer, heavy bag slams, etc. SL5x5 this morning: 165lb Squat, 90lb Overhead Press, 185lb deadlift. Need to step up my water intake though.
  14. How is that going, SugarRay? This looks intense. How and which body weight exercises did you start with?
  15. Good luck Ryoko! Interested in hearing about your side business as well!
  16. Sweet! I'll be watching that one too ! If anyone's down to meetup for a Tuesday/Thursday class (battle rope, tire flips, boxing, etc.) in Columbia, message me!
  17. Hey all! I'm new to NF and stumbled across this thread. Looks like it hasn't had much action as of late. I'm in the Columbia area and would love to interact with my fellow nerds.
  18. Thanks for the advice and useful links RogueWelkin! I've since adjusted.
  19. Hey everyone! I’m a 33 year old male; I'd characterize my current appearance as being "skinny-fat". Very excited to have found NF and psyched to start my 1st challenge. I'm a front-end web developer and spend most of the day sitting on my @$$. That being said, I have taken the appropriate steps in changing that, and fully acknowledge that this is a marathon, not a sprint. I have hypothyroidism and it's been a struggle, but I'm looking forward to the challenge. MAIN QUEST Decrease BF percentage (between 9-12%) Currently 16.8% QUEST 1 Drink at least 77oz of water every day. QUEST 2 Stick to a semi-strict paleo diet. Heeding the advice of RogueWelkin, I will cut bread from my diet while increasing my vegetable and meat/fish intake. QUEST 3 Hit the gym at least 3 times a week with StrongLifts 5x5 as my main foundation. MOTIVATION Become the best version of myself.
