  1. Teros - I think my weak areas are I've never really written a theme type deal. You're absolutely right though - I should focus on what I want to accomplish. So, I'm going to spend this week off writing out my goals and see how I can wrap a theme around them. Red - thank you for the app idea - I went ahead and downloaded the same one.
  2. I have slacked in water - water sucks. I lost my fitbit towards the end of the week 3 so tracking steps was really difficult. I tried to base it on level of exhaustion. Found my fitbit today because I cleaned our home office until it sparkled - yay fitbit, and yay clean office. I am totally in to recommit to my goals this week. I am thinking of a theme style for the next challenge because assuming we get a week break between ending one and starting the next then it will kick off the week of my birthday or a few days after. Anyway, I am toying with a way to make it RP style and incorporate my birthday but I am not sure how yet. May base it off a birthday type movie, or the numbers, or my favorite birthday things.. not sure yet. Suggestions are welcome.

I will be heading right on into the Adventurers because I think I will fit right in there. I don't have a specific fitness thing so I am still figuring out what will work for me. I actually hopped in and did their mini challenges this time around too since it was not technically my first challenge. (Though I had completely started over stat and level wise) Also, because I can not remotely remember.. do we allocate remaining points and "level up" at the end of this week or will there be a post instructing us to do so?
  5. Done with Mini 6! woo woo. (Reply is in my battle log)

Oh shoot, week 6 begins! Still operating life without a laptop, which just stinks. I have a tablet but not the keyboard attachment thing I've seen others use. I find it challenging to get as much utility as I did with my laptop.
  7. Can I say that I am my own worst kryptonite? I'm the main cook at home, I am the one that controls what I take to work with me, what crap I end up buying at work, etc. So, I think my kryptonite is more of a situation - or the presence of my own mind. I need to set up my spaces in a much more helpful and healthful manner. I am going to set up my environment to be less kryptonite and yellow Sun. I am going to do this by going grocery shopping for healthy snacks and meals to take to work.
  8. Missed Mini 4 for Adventurers and playing a smidgeon of catchup. My favorite fall recipe is Apple pie. I don't make it throughout the year because I prefer to use fresh apples. I cheat and use store bought crusts because it makes the whole process infinitely easier. The recipe I use is from allrecipes.com - I have been using it for a very long time, and only made a couple of adjustments. Ingredients1 9inch deep dish pie crust (I like to buy the roll in the refrigerator section so you have 1 bottom and 1 top.)1/2 cup unsalted butter3 tablespoons all-purpose flour1/2 cup white sugar1/2 cup packed brown sugar1 teaspoon real vanilla (Alternatively you can scrape out a vanilla bean)2 teaspoons cinnamon1 pinch nutmeg1/4 cup water8 apples - peeled, cored and sliced (I like to use a mix of fresh picked apples. I grab a couple granny smiths, a couple honeycrisps, and whatever else is going on at the orchard. The original recipe called for all granny smith but I prefer to mix up sweeter apples with the tart) DirectionsMelt butter in a sauce pan. Stir in flour to form a paste. Add white sugar, brown sugar, spices and water; bring to a boil. Reduce temperature, and simmer 5 minutes. Meanwhile, place the bottom crust in your pan. Fill with apples, mounded slightly. Cover with a lattice work crust. Gently pour the sugar and butter liquid over the crust. Pour slowly so that it does not run off. (Okay, I don't do it quite that way. I pour the filling over the apples and then top with the lattice work. Sometimes I do just a flat top and cut slits in it too. I often buy an extra roll of pie crust dough so that I can use a cookie cutter to decorate with leaves, apple shapes, or even words.) Instead, I fluff an egg white and brush the lattice and dust with sugar very lightly. Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). My UP24 is now charging and will soon be ready to get me back on track. You're probably right Sue - but I cannot imagine anywhere else to look. My best friend (not the borrower) told me to look in laundry baskets because that is where she always loses things. Hah! I need to look in my car one more time, but after that I am giving up - I will let it return to me on it's own.

I lost my fitbit! OMG how could that happen? I have searched for days now. Scoured beneath beds, lifted sofas, dug thru craft pile, dumped out purses... I typically only take it off when I sleep because sometimes my hair gets caught in it and that hurts like a you know what. So, normally if it is not on my wrist it is happily chilling on my nightstand. I am so bummed, I was really getting used to having my tracker on the regular. Thankfully, I do have an UP24 band as well - and the friend who'd borrowed it will be getting it to me today. So, tracking commences again tomorrow. I am pretty certain I have still got my 10k steps in every day because I was busy all week doing classroom observations, steady at work, and cleaning my house. So, let week 3 come at me bro.
  17. Recruits Mini 3 1. I am having the hardest time getting my water in because I do not keep a water bottle with me and I don't always enjoy plain water. 2. I will follow advice of several threads/posters and add various fruit to my waters. I am going to juice and add the juice to the day's water bottle. I will also freeze some of the juice to use as ice cubes for my water. I will make sure I leave the house with a water bottle. 3. I will begin applying in the morning and update this thread to track progress.

  20. Week 2 was just not great. I had several hangups along the way. I will score the entire week at a D. Week 3 will be better. I am relatively certain I am getting a cold or flu type thing but I can still stretch, eat healthy, and drink water.
  21. I really liked the schedule from last week. And, even though I can feel a cold coming in like a sneaky ninja, I am going to post this schedule to attempt to keep myself on track. Wednesday bday celebration for the dude, make apple pie, wash 2 loads of laundry, call about carpets, Answer at least 1 discussion question Thursday Wash 1 load of laundry, stretch, work, 1 homework question, portion of team project Friday Work, stretch, fine tune portion of team project and turn in, work on individual assignment Saturday Work, dust, fine tune individual assignment and turn in Sunday Work, finish any missing discussion questions for homework, write list for week 4, stretch

Week 2 was rough for me. I had randomness happening and really just did not score well on any of my quests. I am day 2 in week 3 now and trying to do better.

Really great ideas to use the juicer! What do you use your pulp for? I have seen a few recipes that use their pulp for muffins and the like.

So, Wednesdays are my Mondays. I should explain, I'm off work on Mondays and Tuesdays, so I consider that my weekend. Anyway, I am sitting here with zero motivation to get ready for work and I need to leave in 45 minutes. Ugh. I have my water ready to take though, and if no one snagged it I have turkey meatloaf and mashed potatoes left from last night.
