  1. Thank you. Yeah i have a pull-up station at home and thats were i am hanging my rings on. Need to modify some exercises in the Monkii app to be able to do them cause if i move too far away from the station it can tip over
  2. Nice goals, here for this one! I'm also Dutch and have been thinking about learning Turkish. I have Turkish co-workers and being able to speak their language with them would be pretty cool. And being able to speak multiple languages is cool. And if i can make a suggestion for the "Visit the World" goal: Iceland & Sweden. Both beautiful countries!
  3. Thank you so much! I'm gonna start with buying plain chicken, fish, meat instead of the ones that are packaged with a spice mix on it. I dont really makes meals specific for lunches or dinner yet...(maybe a challenge or 2 later i'll start focusing on that) but i'm gonna make atleast 2 meals more health focused (real foods, good vegetables & fruits with it). If you guys have tips, please share them! It went downhill after i did a 10k run in April. And i decided to take a break and then i never picked it up again. Also not having a workout plan and just going by what i felt like doing on the day. And ofcourse the attraction of playing games, but i saw a nice lockbox with a timer & perhaps ill buy that to lock my console controllers till a certain time on the day. Yeah its going to be Rayman Origins! only 6 achievements left
  4. Goals: - Workout 21 days in a row using the Monkii app. - Improve my meals - 100% a game Attempting a return to NF Rebellion with this new year. Last year i went up and down with fitness & eating healthy. Did good until april and then it went downhill. Tried to get some done before the holidays but didnt really succeed. So lets take this first month to get back into a healthier life style. Workout 21 days in a row using the Monkii app: Last month i found the Monkii app which has a nice 21 days habit program which has workouts using their Monkii rings. Don't have those but i have normal rings and looking through it i should be able to use them to workout. So i'm going to follow that starting next week. Improve my meals: I had a so-so decent meal plan, the basics were good. But screwed it up often. So i'm gonna go back to basics and try some new stuff and see how i enjoy it. 100% a game: I have fond memories from previous challenges were i played games to 100% them, i want to start doing that again this year. Gonna look for a easy/fast one to do. Well thats pretty much my challenge plan to start 2019 with. Let's see how i'm gonna do!
  5. Nice goals! Following! I also got the NF Rings & Handstand plan, its pretty good. The mobility stuff is good!
  6. Week 1, Day 4 till Day 7 + Week 2, Day 1 Was quite tired the last few days from my nightshift and thus i barely updated here. But the workouts are still going good, right now on Lvl 2 with Rings but still keeping it at Lvl 1 with Handstand since my wrist mobility is not that great yet. Missed 1 day (yesterday) but made up for it today. Dont have a lot more to tell right now. Spent the weekend playing a bunch of Destiny 2. Here is my workout station, a pull-up/dip station with rings added.   7. The rings are interesting, but already feel that they will be great for follow-up workouts
  8. Week 1, Day 3 Got my first workout in with Rings. And it was interesting, i did both the Rows & the Straight Arms Support for this workout. Rings felt easy and because of me kinda needing to be near the center of my pull-up station i was starting with the 30 degrees angle i already nailed 1 or 2 levels? (need to check it out). The straight arm support was doable for the first level, had a bit of trouble of finding my balance at the start but the third set i got it. Now i only need to see if my pullup station is strong enough when i remove the dip bars (ill try to post a pic later today of my pullup station). Also did some more Handstand wrist mobility and will probably take more time on those to really give my wrist more mobility before i move on to the next level. I cleaned & 100% gamed. Didnt progress a lot in the story because i was trying to get a certain achievement which i had to do stealthily (like a assassin ) and had to re-do it a few times. Not a lot has happened besides that...   9. Week 1, Day 2 Today was a rest day. But i got my rings in and immediately tried them out on my pull-up/dip station i have at home. I was a bit afraid that while doing rows the whole thing might tip over. But after looking in the Rings Faq i see the mentioned being more in the center of gravity of the station, so i moved the station a bit from the wall and no more worries of tipping over. Just need to see if it stays sturdy when i remove the dip bars.... Didnt clean or do my 100% game was distracted while reading a online comic. Tomorrow ill ditch the hour break between morning routine & workout and start earlier with my workout and earlier with my Pomodoro Cleaning & 100% gaming.   10. Week 1, Day 1 A good start of the challenge. Woke up after my nightshift and immediately did my morning routine (#5 minute flow, 30 minutes read, breakfast). After that i had an hour before my workout and decided to watch a bit of Twitch. No gaming myself so far in the day. Then got to my workout: Did Wrist Mobility & Quadruped Rocking. I liked the Wrist Mobility exercises and will probably add them to my #5 Minute Flow as a little bit more mobility. Quadruped Rocking felt the same except that i had to get used to were my weight is. After that i did push-ups, chin-ups & squats. After that it was time for Pomodoro Cleaning & 100% gaming. Here i started with gaming. Did the first mission of Deus Ex Mankind Divided with 2 youtube guides (one for all the achievements in order of the story & one for the stealthiest route). And did a basic cleaning of the apartment (dishes, cleaning tables and cleaning the toilet). Overall a good start of the week and the challenge. Tomorrow i have no workout planned so the extra hour i have i'm going to get some groceries.   11. I have only done 1 day on the handstands which invols wrist mobility. Tomorrow or wednesday the rings are being delivered. But i saw it involved 45 degrees rows. And i will update my progress with Rings & Handstand in here. Yeah its not great but sometimes you have to choose when you have your own apartement. There’s still enough time to game tho. Yay, welcome back.

  15. Grandkai Goes Wick John is a man of focus, commitment, sheer will... something you know very little about. Last challenged i did a respawn here in the forums and with fitness, habits, nutrition. Despite having a decent 2 weeks challenge i need more focus on my goals, commitment to not be distracted with videogames & sheer will to succeed in my challenge. FOCUS: Don't be distracted by videogames until my task for the day are complete. These task are the following: - Working out; - Pomodoro Cleaning; - Shopping (if needed); - Making meals for the week This one is important to me because the last weeks i went straight to my console to play games instead of making sure my apartment is clean which resulted in a dirty apartment. And then only cleaned when i had no clean dishes. NEVER again! Games are fun but they don't decide my life. COMMITMENT: Workout every other day. I bought the Rings & Handstand Super Pack here on Nerd Fitness. I'm going to alternate between Rings & the Handstand workout. For example: Monday Rings with Bodyweight, Tuesday Off, Wednesday Handstand, Thursday OFF, Friday Rings and so on...depending if i get my rings on Monday or it will the other way around. And once i get more used to all the exercises i will probably do both Rings & Handstand in the same workout but thats for later. Now i want to get back into the routine of working out. Besides the Rings/Handstand stuff i'm going to do basic Bodyweight stuff (push-ups, pull-/chin-ups, squats, planks) to become stronger. SHEER WILL: Update every day Doesnt matter when i update, no matter what shift im doing i will update here everyday as much or as little there is to tell. 100% Gaming Goal: Deus Ex Mankind Divided I used to do 100% gaming goals ever since i got inspired by a old friend ( @Lilmissbri, she does on PS4 and i do on Xbox ). This challenge i'm going to do my best to 100% Deus Ex Mankind Divided. Who knows, maybe ill even stream it (the time between my last REAL challenge here and now i started streaming a bit on Twitch, but i had to drop it because i had a period where i just had no energy for it. Now i have some more energy and i want to try and start streaming again). Also: i get the same vibe with these 2. Looking like a Gentleman & being deadly when pissed off. And to get in the whole John Wick theme even more, one of the best, maybe even THE best scene's of the movie.

OOOOOH WOW talk about being terrible again at updating here.. eeeh well the reason i didnt update anything last week was probably because i saw a nice apartment but when i went there i wasnt as impressed. It was a nice apartment but not what i was looking for. And the whole week is was thinking about the apartment if i wanted it or not. I went with not...and saturday & sunday i had a nice Father/Son weekend. And i was playing A LOT of Destiny 2 Forsaken... But lets do a review!!! Eat an apple everyday & drink 2 liters of water; Went oke, forgot the apple a few times but drinking was easy. #5 Minute Flow every morning; Went awesome!! Most "fitness" i have done in the last few months, missed 2-3 days. Read 30 minutes before & after bed; Some days great, other days bad... Clean up before bed; Yeah didnt really work. If i had a night shift i had no time/no energy to clean before bed, going back to Pomodoro Cleaning Minor Goals: Look online for a good handstand guide/program; Looked around, figured the "Rings & Handstand" is best bang for my buck. Figured out a way to pay it without getting a real credit card. I'm gonna try using a Gift Card (that should work right??). Re-schedule my calendar; Made some changes, looking good so far. I will probably start a new challenge this week. I just need to get back into regular updating My nightshifts a rotational. And i'm gonna try (like i mentioned above) to use gift credit cards to buy the ring & handstand program
  17. Sorry to hear there is nothing real to do Why wont they give you anything to do? Maybe if you sit down with your boss a few minutes you can discuss this and hopefully make it clear to them that you need & want to do something (besides getting the post daily).
  18. Hey @Manarelle, long time no see. I just checked out the NF Handstand/Ring program, it looks really nice. But the problem is: i don't have a credit card (never had the need to get one). So i guess thats a pass for that one. But i'm still looking around. How have you been? Still going strong on the forums and challenges?
  19. Week 3, Day 2 & Day 3 Day 2 went fine, finished "Band of Brothers" and am starting with "1984", did #5 minute flow & hit my apple/water goal. Rest of the day was spent with being lazy and sitting around waiting for the evening to come so i can work. After work i didnt read because i was crazy tired, normally i powernap before my nightshifts but i want to get off that and sleep the same amount of hours as is the rest of the shifts. So i have been quite tired after work. If i read 1 time before i go to bed in my night shift i am happy. Day 3, after the morning routine i spent most of the day playing Overwatch (i want to get better at the game and there are sweet skins/sprays to get). Looked a bit more at what time i want to learn the skills and figured out a time to do them. Right now i feel im heading in the right direction. I do feel i need to start working out earlier than planned, the idea was the next challenge. But i'm actually wanting to get back into working out, i want to fill that hour in my day so i dont spend it on the couch playing video games (i LOVE video games, but i want to do more with my life).
  20. Week 3, Day 1 Oke first day done. And its going oke, i made a morning routine consisting of #5 Minute Flow, 30-ish minutes reading & breakfast (takes about an hour) and it was easy to follow. I didnt read before bed because right now im doing night shifts and i was a bit lazy with cooking. I had some pans left in the sink and it took a bit long to clean them. But most of it is done so i should be able to read tomorrow. So i'm also looking at 2 skills to learn or re-learn. And i already mentioned handstands but i also want to re-learn my German language. My brother lives in Germany and we talk German with his girlfriend (well, we...i talk in English with her). But i want to improve my German so that when i go to him i can easily talk & understand everything. Most of the time i understand what we are talking about but i never know how to react except for the very simple stuff. I also re-scheduled the calendar on my phone/computer. It very empty right now except for sleep, work & morning routine. So i have space to decide when to learn the skills and when to workout. Tomorrow i'm going to decide a time to learn my skills so i have that set-up and ill just have to do that for every shift.

  22. I would think so. But to be safe, ask and check the web if its safe. Its also very dry here in the Netherlands. Heck its very dry everywere in Europe right now, we need a few weeks of long rain to fix everything again

  24. I would never call you stupid. It would call you amazing because you DID go the the university, you DID go a second time and you had a GREAT time. You decided you wanted to go there and that your anxiety and fear wouldnt stop you. So i applaud you for doing those things Is there a nice park near you? You could try and go there to have a nice walk. Or maybe drive to a forest thats nearby?
