  1. Wait -- YAYOG Week 6 includes a PULL UPS?! Oooohhh I can't wait to get there!
  2. I just completed day 14 (W4D2) of YAYOG Basic program... 30 more days to go! Today's interval workouts: - Bulgarian split squats, 12/12/12 (x2) - Side lunges, 12/12/12 (x2) - Squats (3s hold), 12/12/12 - One legged romanian deadlift, 12/12/12 (x2). Legs day always feels short and hard bcoz I have to do all (but squats) in double reps for both legs, so they takes double time thus making the rest time shorter ~_~ Addition: - 3 x 15s and 2 x 20s deadhang (easyyyy) - 5x5 counter pushups. Although deep down I felt like slapping myself for slacking off so much - but what matters is I'm still here and pushing forward, right? Right? I even post updates more often on this thread than on my own dusty personal challenge thread... hurnh, blame the OCDness!
  3. Doing YAYOG while attending an online meeting now. Oh, life can be so handful!

  6. (Am I the only one who's not in Week 5 yet? T_T) I just completed day 13 (W4D1) of YAYOG Basic program... 31 more days to go! Today's interval exercise: - Classic pushups (hip height): 9/12/12 - Military press (knee height): 12/12/12 - Close-grip pushups (hip height): 12/12/12 - Seated dips (legs straight): 6/7/8 --> H-A-R-D!!! ...Arms day is definitely not my favorite T_T I almost can already feel the DOMS lurking, waiting to attack --- Addition: 5 x 15s deadhang
  7. I just completed day 12 (W3D4) of the YAYOG Basic program... 32 more days to go! Today's interval workout: - Leg lifts 12/12/12 - Hyperextension 12/12/12 - Russian twists 12/12/12 - Swimmers 12/12/12 Additions (total throughout the day): 3x10 counter pushups 2x10 assisted pullups I'll just diligently work on this according to my pace ;-)

I'm so excited for your progress I had a big presentation yesterday in my laboratory, so I kinda stay away from the Forum since last week... Oh it feels sooo good to be back here! Yesterday I went to the gym with a friend, I did YAYOG week 3 day 3 (after more than a week delay!), and I also succeeded two reps of push up with height between hip & knee! I couldn't got it the 3rd time though hahaha

  14. Aaaaaaah people are already went farrr and I'm still stuck on Week 3 *smackmyself* Better be doin some YAYOG kickin today!!!
  15. Challenge Week 3 Day 5 & 6, Fri & Sat Far from kicking, actually, but did productive things, or so I hope. Friday was an 9am-to-6pm cycling day. Seriously, being a tutor for new international student isn't easy. All the places to go, administrations and registrations to do, papers to fill. At the end of the day, my head was spinning - I can only imagine how that new student was feeling. But that was a heck of productive day (seeing from new student's point of view). I was completely exhausted when I came home, no workout done whatsoever - oh but I cooked dinner (Q2) so there was something done, yay! Btw, I was fasting on this day. Didn't thought I would managed it till the end with all the cycling (I usually used motorcycle), but I did! Saturday was... socializing day. Woke up almost late to my daughter's school Sport Festival, then watched tiny little children aged 0-5 did various sport-dance activities. Then tutoring session with new student (this time: shopping, yay!), then some dinner party and preparation for tomorrow's BBQ party! Hit home at 10:30pm, put baby daughter to bed, thought about doing YAYOG for a split second before I fell asleep too. Haha. So, again no workout today :-/ I cooked some breakfast though (Q2) and did some house-cleaning & decluttering (LQ). Let's see what I can do for Sunday, last day before leveling up woooo!
  16. Thanks for the encouragement! He said (finally!) that he wants to see a doctor to check on this symptom, maybe next month, after he's done with sinus treatment. Hope he'll receive a medication and will be better.. I'll take your advice Now where's the homemade foam roller... Aww, thank you so much <3 Yeay! You too of course! Thanks!!! All your supports mean the world for me Let's kick on tomorrow!!!
  17. Week 3 Day 4, Thursday Sometimes life is just tooooo busy. (Or, read it as: fail in prioritizing...) I wanted to do YAYOG today, but morning was started with insensible anger (note to self: look for more suitable words), and my mood was broken. Today was a busy day with preparations for welcoming a new student in the lab, whom I'm assigned as a tutor for. Spent the evening to night with driving back & forth to the airport and making sure he could pass his first night in Japan well. I did finished the day squeezing 2x10 counter pushup & 1x10 assisted pullup (Q2) before the baby demands to go sleep... Good to know that I haven't lost the motivation, although I certainly feel that I should've done more... Tomorrow is going to be a heck of busy day....
  18. Pictures are really worth a thousand words!!! Thank you so much! I have the very same door bar, I just need to find sturdy enough chair just like yours, yay~ Btw - on the pic of your toes on the chair (hanging), did your arms fully extended in that position? If yes, then my door frame is reallly short compared to yours.... bcoz when I hang with arms fully extended, I need to fold my legs on the knee so that I can hang on the bar
  19. Week 3 Day 3, Wednesday Still having sore legs and back, although back slightly improved ;-) Today I did... - Q3. Cooking for breakfast which lasted for lunch bento and dinner too, haha.. - Q2 at home: Pull up training: deadhang 3x15s, assisted pull up 2x5 and 2x10. Was taking it slow. Push up training: hip height 1x7 and 1x10 before baby cried and I had to hit the bed lol. Tomorrow is Yayog day~ ;-)
  20. I need to hit the supermarket tomorrow! Remind me to buy *that* ingredient ;-)
  21. Challenge Week 3 Day 2: Tuesday, Sept 30 2014 It was supposed to be rest day, but Tue & Thu are also gym day, so I went to the gym with friends and played around. I did... Deadhang (15s) & negative chin up attempt (1x5) using the power rack; the bar was too high! Even using bench below the bar, I couldn't do assisted pull up, bcoz my hands are barely reaching the bar, and my feeble attempt of negative chin up was only me jumping up from the bench and failed to lock my elbows and went straight back down to the bench, lol..Legs bent inverted rows (2x5 ++), using the power rack too... asked my friend to record a video, and laughed by my silly pose... bad form ughhhSquat (2x5 ++), teaching my friend how to properly do that (based on what I read etc), and it killed my legs that's still sore from Yayog legs work yesterday >,<Treadmill (7 mins), low velocityHip height push up (1x5), using the barbell rack, only managed to do small reps before muscle failure...Attempted knee height push up thrice, using the bench, all failed lolTried to lift the 20kg standard olympic barbell shaft, only managed to move it up a few milimeters lolSo... done playing around, was fun & no pressure, and I guess I can count them for push up & pull up training (Q2) At home, I cooked dinner (Q3) and prepped chickens for later use. And when the night comes... DOMS really hit my legs, exactly 24 hours after yesterday workout, owowow~
  22. Wow, all of those in only 35 mins??
  23. Hmm... Do you have any advice for seated dips? I couldn't do legs straight at all - I can go up but when going down I just went BAM! ...lol can't control the way down at all. On the other hand, legs bent is doable, but I still feel that I'm using my heels to propel me up >,< I don't know how *not* to use my heels...
  24. Just going to quote this so that I can go back here when I need them. Great reading & motivation! Thanks for compiling them!
  25. cn3wton - maybe the intermediate level of yayog is more suitable for you? Anyway - great day! You're still the leader! Hehe
