  1. You're awesome! Squaw peak twice was very tough
  2. I did all this with her and she smoked me on the mountain. My badass fiancé
  3. Thanks! I'm good! I have been doing very high volume squats after my main sets - 25+ reps with 135 after the heavier sets. I think it'll pay off for a week or two before I get burned out. A minor goal of mine is to squat my bodyweight 50 times someday, too
  4. well, cellardoorraven and I have some pretty great news! [emoji173]ï¸ As far as the gym I've been neglecting that. I've been walking plenty of miles with my fiancé but thankfully she's pushing me to get back to my lifts so I know what I'm doing tonight
  5. Good job! You were very tough on that walk last night
  6. You're going to have to eat tons and sleep plenty on 5/3/1 too, especially if you do the BBB accessory routine. Got into the gym finally for leg day - Squats up to 275 on my last set, front squats and power cleans at 135 for accessory work. I was dead sore for a few days, to the point that it was hard to push the stroller with my fiance. Don't think I've ever been that sore! I've been going with her on walks and did some hill sprints for conditioning as well.
  7. I'd do a weekly progression like Texas method after your linear progression. I went straight to 5/3/1 and I wish I spent more time squatting more often. I like the BBB accessory routine and doing heavy singles, it's a lot of fun. Also I just proposed to user cellardoorraven and she said yes <3 had to share
  8. This is my first challenge - I'm pretty excited! Been powerlifting somewhat consistently for a little more than a year now but I've been unable to work out consistently for a couple months. My main goal right now is to be stronger than I was before my break. My previous lift totals were 335/260/430. My 3 specific goals: Squat 345lb Bench 270lb Deadlift 440lb I'll be following Jim Wendler's 5/3/1 with the following assistance work: Squat day - front squats and power cleans Bench day - weighted dips and DB rows Deadlift day - deficit deadlifts and rack pulls Press day - DB press and lat pulldown or weighted pullups Conditioning will consist of pushing a stroller up and down hills and hiking with another nerdfitness member.
