  1. I think we are "protein loading" at lunch today. My fave smokehouse just tweeted that their brisket is on special today, and after lifting, I want a bit extra protein in my diet. Plus...NO CARBS!! We have Panera all over the place, except here, its called St. Louis Bread Company. Because this is where Panera started...and they kept the original name in STL...
  2. Assuming skipping will actually let you rest and relax, and you won't feel stress or guilt from skipping (and not getting paid), take a breather. Everyone needs a mental health day from time to time. However, if its just going to make you feel guilty and stressed from calling in, then, pardon the bluntness, suck it up and go. Unless you have video games to play. Always pick video games.
  3. Workout today left me zapped. I wanted to do the full 5x5 today, adding in the deadlift, but my wrist has been really sore the past two days, so I skipped OHP today... Upped all my weights, though, so there's that...Also, lowered the assistance on the pullups. Those were hard... Squat: 5/5/140 Bent Over Row: 5/5/90 Deadlift: 5/5/135 Bench: 5/5/90 Pullups: 4/5 Assisted -- Wanted to do 4/10 again, but significantly lowered the assistance, and couldn't get through a set of more than 5...next time!! So, I have a question for you guys...I am starting to get bad calluses on my hands from lifting. Not sure if its a form issue, or just years of sitting at a keyboard have my hands too "soft". Either way, I don't necessarily mind the calluses, but they hurt. Any suggestions for a cream or lotion that will help with that? Also, I have no idea what I want to do for lunch. Last night was hectic with a Scout meeting, so we ate out (semi healthy...it fit my macros), which means no leftovers for lunch...This is a problem, because I'm hungry, and I don't want to eat crap.

  6. Well, I'm in a pickle. I got 2 stars on my first attack this war, which is awesome, but now, if I attack any of the villages left, I'm just wasting troops. I'm not advanced enough to attack the top 20, and I don't think I could improve upon what others have done in the bottom 20. I want to help the clan, but I'm not sure I'll be doing anything except throwing away troops. Any suggestions out there?

  9. No planks, but 30 minutes of rowing today. Not sure if that counts for anything. If not, I'll plank it up when I get home....
  10. A simple google search turned up about a dozen different colors. However, I am still partial to the one I posted. The one in Cardinal Red, because Spring Training is less than a month away!!
  11. I use the website more often than not...I have the app, just never think to use it... Its back up, and food (so far) entered.
  12. One more reason to be happy to be a guy.... Personally, I'm with you. I have a love/hate relationship with DOMS. I love knowing that I worked that hard. I hate feeling like a 90 year old man when I stand up from my desk...

  14. There is ALWAYS room for improvement!! Cardio done today. 30 minutes of rowing. Thursday is the stairs and HIIT...not looking forward to that! I'm off to MFP to post breakfast. Nothing too tasty. 2 hardboiled eggs and a mixed fruit bowl.
