So emberassing; I started my challenge two days ago and only just found out the challange is already over!
-
My muscles are screaming, my whole body is aching, but I managed to walk the full 21 km through mud and rain! I think that counts as sports, even though it's not a high intensity sport Better yet, I convinced myself to have veggie sticks (carrots & cucumbers) as a snack, which means I also achieved full scores for the third quest this week, yay. Tomorrow a new week starts. If I don't forget I'll measure up my current weight. I need to remind myself to pack some more carrots for lunch break. Seeya! Week 1 (Started later so there's only two days left of the 7, whoops) Sweets-intake successfully limited [2/2] Doing sports [2/2] Eat enough veggies/fruits [2/2]

Bam, today was a good start. Finally got to do some shopping again, after two (!!!) years. I bought two cheap pants because I literally had no undamaged pants left, but they are a bit on the small side; well, now I have more motivation to lose that weight, haha. I also bought some facial skin care products and a new perfume (I figured I could improve upon personal hygiene and body care). But most importantly, I bought a jump rope! Tonight's dinner was veggieburgers with a salad and a nectarine and it was tasty. No fries, no meat, plenty of veggies and even some fruit (and I don't normally eat fruit for some reason). So I'm satisfied about that This evening I did one sports session with various different activities. I did a small warming up, I did some rope-jumping. I did the beginner's work-out but then my muscles started to scream in unexpected places ('huh, do I have muscles there?), so I decided to leave it at that and finish up with five minutes of wild random creative dancing to 'all about that base' that happened to be on the radio at that moment. I am not sure whether it was 20 minutes in total, but I deem it good enough. Tomorrow my dad and I are going to do a hike of 21 kilometers. Well, as far as you can call 'walking through flat, watery landscape' hiking; the Netherlands aren't very challenging in geography. Wish me luck, I've never walked that far in one go. My personal record is 18 km.

Long story short, I'm back to try again after messing up twice Main quest: In the long run: 72 kg >> 65 kg For the coming 6 weeks: Lose 4 kg (>> 68 kg) Quest 1: Limit sweets/snacks* intake to one occasion a day *Chocolate, cookies, chips etc., excluding the snacks that are really just meant as a not-too-unhealthy convenience food such as fiber-loaded breakfast biscuits. I know once a day is still a lot, but at the moment I'm eating much more than that, and easy does it, right? Quest 2: Do sports* at least 2 times a week for at least 20 minutes *Beginners work-out, cycling, jumping ropes, zumba, etc. As long as I get to move my lazy ass! Quest 3: Eat veggies or fruit twice a day Currently, I only eat vegetables with dinner, but I'd like to teach myself to eat them for lunch or even breakfast, too! Life quest: Spend at least 30 minutes a day doing homework (Gosh, I got so much on my plate. I bet these 30 minutes will have to be extended to several hours a day for the coming few weeks, but I'd like to get into the habit of doing something useful even when there's no pressing deadline due!) Motivation: I want to be able to control my life and habits! This will make me awesome, healthy and efficient Logbook of efforts and achievements Week 1 (Started later so there's only two days left of the 7, whoops) Sweets-intake successfully limited [2/2] Doing sports [2/2] Eat enough veggies/fruits [2/2]

Hi guys! Most people won't know me because I've not been around much the past few months. I discovered this website one or two years ago (can't remember, but it was autumn at the time), and I wanted to challenge myself to lose some weight and get more in touch with nature However, I'm horrible at prioritizing and I have some exhaustion issues (that are now partly solved since finding out I have a vitamin shortage), and some motivational issues, I've moved homes in the mean while, been to China for a couple of months and so on and so on. Well, here is what it comes down to: I'm back to my old habbits Sooooooo I'd like to start over again. I'm still extremely busy (university, making jewelry, learning Mandarin). This time, I want to focus mostly on a better dietary pattern and losing some weight by prioritizing sports and cooking over apathic couch potato Facebook time. I'm going to think hard about what exactly I want and how I'm going to achieve it, and will be reading the nerdfitness blog all over again Good to be back, I hope I can make it this time. I mean, OF COURSE I WILL MAKE IT Greetz! - Amren

Thaankkkss this one is far nicer than the one already present in the apartment , can't wait to finally being able to cook again!
-
Haha well I was gone again, wasn't I? We still don't have a functional kitchen at our appartment, but that will be fixed in about two weeks... To make up for my huge failing at this challenge, I'm going to a] sign up for Badminton before the end of the month and b] participate in the Dutch national vegan challange april 2015; the latter will help me eat more vegetables and to expand my cooking repertoire
-
Aaaaah no I slacked off again I wasn't quite mentally prepared. However, I did do those workouts a couple of times (yay), I've been eating vegetarian relatively often and I've been walking a lot (to go to university). Doesn't that sort-of count? I know, I'm a bad girl not keeping to my promises to myself.

Hi guys I'm not strictly 'new' here and this isn't really my first challenge, but I'm applying as recruit because I quit halfway through my first first challenge back in october. This was because of some stressfull life events, amongst others a forced moving houses... But now that I finally have the key to our new appartment, I will be able to start anew and try again. My long-term goals are to lose some weight (~5-10 kg), to become closer to nature and to learn to cope with stress effectively *Under construction: will finish this when I've unpacked all my computer stuff and such*: Quest 1 - Food for thought Eat vegetables with every dinnerEat vegetarian dinner at least once a weekEat fish at least once a weekQuest 2 - Move it Make a 10 minute walk every dayDo the beginner's workout 3 days a weekFinally sign up for a sport (badminton/dancing/gym) within the next 6 weeksQuest 3 - Practice planning Make and complete a to-do list with max. 3 items every day. Hope I will make it this time. I might adjust the quests instead of giving up on them altogether if I don't have the time for all of it. Pffff busy life

Update: I'm now also learning Swedish (as part of a challenge on facebook)... I'm still a beginner, though

Ugh laziness, kills me too I was too lazy to cook yesterday, so I got myself a pizza. Hiking may be a good idea though Fresh air, bit of movement. I should do it, too, but then again: laziness xD
