  1. I lost my way with my goals and fell back on old eating habits, bad habits. I feel like I need to start fresh.
  2. Is your overall quest achievable (over a short or long period of time)? Is it reasonable? Yes I made sure that I didn't go nuts this first challenge and that it was reasonably accomplished Do your 3 quests all build towards your main quest in little ways, or are you taking on too much? Do your quests have sub-quests or is it just one thing to focus on? Yes they are all building towards strength and weith loss Are your main goals realistic? Can you scale them to smaller steps to fit your life better, even if it will make it take a little longer to achieve them? I have made them small Are your goals able to be measured and tracked? What will you use to track them?I have been tracking my goals on paper and they are easily measured How are you grading your goals? Are they pass/fail (“every dayâ€, “not even once over the six weeksâ€)? Is there a reward for the effort, or are you only grading yourself on whether or not you “lose the weight†or “run the distanceâ€?My son is testing me every day to every other day What is your plan for continuing/altering/grading those goals if you become ill or injured? I will delay a test then test once I am well. Did you take into consideration any special occasions (Labour Day, Independence Day, birthdays, anniversaries, etc) that may occur during the challenge? What modifications do you need to build into your goals for those? I add to work outs or adjust off days Do any of your main goals conflict with each other? Will one goal make it hard to do another? No Do you already have the time in your schedule to actually complete the goals you’ve set? If not, what are you planning to do to make time for them? I am making time in my schedule-- get up earlier or combine with other events Are you trying to build multiple habits, or is all your energy focused on your main quest? Better eating choices and more active habits. I watch my son do flips and cartwheels where ever we go and that is motivating me to be more active.
  3. I too am working for my first pull up. I am doing body weight and free weights as a start. Feeling better already. i am going to try this weekend.
  4. Welcome Krisella, I am glad you are here. Great goals! Sent from my KFJWI using Tapatalk
  5. I am new to the community. I signed up for the challenge and put my goals to paper. I realize now, after reading many other members that my goals may have been small. I am reluctant because, you see, in the past I have been on many diets and exercise regimes. I have lost as much as 100 pounds only to put it back on. I want to have a long term success here. The game aspect of this really appeals to me and with my weight lifting background and martial arts background I see myself in either a monk guild or a warrior guild by the end of this challenge. I am excited to continue and would like any encouragement along the way. Thanks
  6. Day three and I have managed to almost duplicate the prior days body weight exercises. I know I have a long way to go but I know if I keep at it I will shed this fat suit in time; one healthy choice at a time. Today I started reading more stories from fellow rebels and it is keeping me motivated to drive forward.
  7. On day one I completed a test of my present abilities. 5 push ups 15 sit ups I finished with more knee bent push ups and crunches. My son wrote down my reps and I have a starting point. Today I plan on doing a little cardio and more push ups and sit ups and will attempt a pull up. My Diet was not all that great last night I slipped up because of poor planning. Still, I managed to get a little work-out in. I am hitting it harder today.
  8. My goal for today is to do as many of each exercise as possible and record where I am. I have substituted a bad lunch with a salad and I will have juice tonight. That is a start considering the lunch and dinner I normally have.
  9. Background & Motivation: I am a middle aged guy; I have been overweight most of my life. I can safely blame it on bad diet and lack of exercise. There have been peeks of exercise over the years when I bulked up because I do enjoy lifting from time to time. I am a horrible runner. I have taken various martial arts classes throughout the years. I am 140 lbs over weight and with two little kids and a dear wife who all depend and love me and want me to get my health in order. So, sitting in a cubicle all day only to go home and snore on the couch is not cutting it. Objective: I want to knock off 20 pounds and get to 3 pull ups, 50 push ups and 50 sit ups in this challenge Goal 1: 2 weeks I want to be at 1 pull up and 15 push ups and 15 sit ups Goal 2: By end of week 4, 2 pull ups, 30 push ups and 30 sit ups Goal 3: By end of week 6, 3 pull ups, 50 push ups and 50 sit ups Life goal—eat healthier by making small Paleo substitutions every week
