  1. Ok ok, It looks like I didn't see the date of your challenge start. But nothing as yoda to remind you of your wrap up, right? hehe Hope everithing goes fine!
  2. Disarming someone isn't as bad ass as only doing it if necessary, hahahaha. No, really, amazing targets you picked up. I'll be cheereing to you for that orange test (althoug the more challenging to me the cleaning up it seems)
  3. Hi guys! Thanks for the support. Just a quick report: It's day 1 and I have both my friends on board. We'll be emailing us our own progress so we get accountable together. As an extra, I'll be giving them some extra tips on how to stick. And as our great leader Steve (ha ha) does, I added some gifs to their emails, such as a flappy bird beloved moment... See ya tomorrow
  4. I just read the 2018 recap email from Steve... Yes.. I'm a bit late with my readings, but it made me realize, I did actually started a 4 week challenge a few years ago, actualy twice I started my "first", but never reported back to end it... shame on me... So this is the third attempt at a "first" 4 week challenge... With a twist. This is 2019, I'm in a better shape than before (actually, I ran a half marathon twice last year :P) but still I'm doing bad in other areas, like healthy eathing and social interactions (and keeping up with my master's thesis dutties...). Besides that, I have two friends I met in elementary school. It's been more than 20 years we know each other (I'm 30 right now) and each of us have gone our own paths. One of them became a dad last year, but also had a lot of health problems, is overweight and has a hard time finding time to do anything. My other friend is single and more in shape, but we are both worried about the other. So to mix things up, I'm gonna start this 4 week challenge here, and one of my Quest will be to take my friends with me. My three Quests of the challenge will be like this: Diet: Count and reduce the amount of junk food I eat First, I'll track them down. I should at least replace a quarter of those snacks with healthier ones I should make myself by the end of the challenge Fitness: Get more than 75% attendance rate to my scheduled workouts As I'm preparing for a half marathon in early march, I shouldn't miss the routines. LevelUp: Help my friend (let's call him James) to get his life up. I'm committing to be with him, to guide him, to help him to see a positive outcome out of these 4 weeks I'll try to pos twice a week, you know how life gets in the way... Thanks for passing by. Oh, by the way, Notonalli is Nahuatl (the language of the ancient aztecs) and means "My path" or "my destiny". I named my first 4w challenge that, and It kind of sounds nice. See you around! Daxonich.
  5. Oh my!!! That's huge! Good luck rgbb but if I may, try to stick at least with part of the challenge. The 5 minutes of housework a day may be a good point to keep. And Soldier! Well come aboard. I'm just back from a hell of a week, but I promise to check out your 6wchallenge
  6. Here we are starting day 3 of week 2. I just did my 4th day of working out in a row!!! Yeah! Still my greatest problem is to sleep at time! Yesterday I procrastinated a log while at night and just when I was getting ready for bed, I remembered I had to send a document to my boss (#fail) so I did it, but I ended up sleeping at 4am, so today I struggled waking up at 10... I just finished my BBW of today, but it's past noon and I haven't even done breakfast... Argh!!!! Any way, tomorrow is a big day at work (I do freelancing). Tomorrow we are presenting our client with the project we've been working on for almost 10 months now, so we are excited, anxious, and most of all, we need to finish to get paid... So, tomorrow I might pass my morning running (or perhaps I do it at the gym after the presentation, it all depends of how it goes) For today I'm signing off to focus on the preparations for tomorrow, but I wanted to give a shout to my fellow springrushers (we might as well being rushing...) LiserFrenche and Rgbb for keeping going! It's hard, but it's so worthy!!!! See you around!
  7. Awesome! People say cool things happen when you see a shooting star, so be prepared!!! We knew the weekend out was going to be tough on your challenges, but is good you found a reminder of why are you here. Let's tackle this week!
  8. Hey there! How was that weekend field trip??? We are wondering!!!!
  9. Week 1 recap We are going well for the first week (let me be honest, I only did half of it... ). Or almost... the truth is that the Maintenance part of my challenge (Sleeping habits) is giving me a hard time... I must focus more on that.. Besides it, I think I'm going to keep working out only in the morning... So, my week's result was.... (Drum roll please...) 73.45%
  10. Oh, it looks like you're struggling... Cutting out sweets may force you to not take them but don't forget we are here for the long term. If you stick to no sweets at all, think this should keep going for the rest of the challenge and beyond... Anyway, I hope you succeed so you become my new hero! I haven't seen the adventurer's mini, but it seems a good thing. Procrastination and how to better spend your time... Sweets and soda are worst than one might expect... Keep going Lyona!!! We're here for you!!!
  11. Let's tackle it! If you have trouble with sugar, try replacing it with... Maybe carrots They're juicy and if you cook them for just a few minutes in water, they get even more juicy and quite sweet. Strictly speaking, that's sugar, but is a far better way of sugar
  12. So, this weekend, I tried something... well.... I just dumped a few veggies on a pan with a little olive oil, a pinch of salt and pepper and waited... (some slices of sausage popped in...) You can spot there... carrot (one piece)Broccoli (half what my hand could handle half closed)Zucchini (one small piece)Yellow Bel pepper (half a piece. When chopped, half what my hand could handle)Tomato (one piece)Sausage (one)Just clean them and chopped them in cubes of almost the same size (don't be picky about the size here...) Put a pan on the fire, like half the flame of it. After a few minutes (let's say... 2:30 minutes) put a tablespoon of olive Oil in the pan and wait till the oil is as fluid as water Drop the veggies in order of hardness (I mean, the harder first). Space them of about 30 secs to one minute (Be brave, just drop them...) and mix the pan at each "dropping" Carrots + Salt and Pepper (Not that much of each. You can add more at serving) Broccoli Zucchini Sausage Bell Pepper (I like it cruchy) Tomato (This one was too juicy, so it went last)30 seconds to one minute after the last veggie, try the carrots (or the hardest veggie) If you like the texture, you're done! As a breakfast, I added some white cheese and some avocado. That much you see in my pan and served as in the next pic, lasted 3 portions (Me, my brother and another one for tomorrow at work) It tasted really good!
  13. Thanks for the recipies! I promise I'l try them soon (I'm talking to you Sweet potato chips...)
  14. Here we are at day 2! Today was a God one! I got my interval workout done and plus had the chance of buying a new pair of running shoes and a shirt (love the fact that I don't care how my shoes look while they're good for running, so I get the most out of end season sales!) Today we went to grandma's for meat.... You can't say no to granny's desert... So I had ice-cream.... But no other treat for the day, at least.... Sugar bread still down! For dinner I took a tuna sandwich and coffee. I'm a little tired, so I guess I'm going to sleep well See you around!
  15. I promise I'll share pics and recipies. Thanks to stop by. Building habits is far though than building a house, but this time we will rock it!
  16. Nice! Good job killing those little piles. You know, I remember I read somewhere in NF about building that bat cave or something. If you forget you have to take 5 minutes to do stuff, what if you put something big over your bed, couch or door with a message like "do your 5 minutes now!" As it gets in your way, you won't forget
  17. Different mini challenges a week seems like a good opportunity to add some exp points to our stats! It looks like our goals are quite similar, so we could pick a group goal. I'll be back with some ideas in a minute
  18. Good job in your training plan! Looks like those 5k are getting shorter and shorter! Nice weekend plan! It will be real though to keep the momentum, so try your best, we will be proud, and so will your daughter. Although... Quality chat time with your daughter should count as meditation... I would count it! You gave me an idea for a weekend mini
  19. Congrats! The week looks great! You'll get used to that excercise Have you tried the calm.com app? You can visit it on your computer or install it on your phone. I like it. See you around!
  20. Week 1 - Day 1 I'm not finished yet. I have to go to bed, and the sleep and offline thing. Tomorrow We'll see if I did it. At least today I didn't take any sugar bread, and that's good, and for the beginner bodyweight workout, I managed to do 2 reps. It's a good start. Let's take a shower, meditate and to sleep I do Digital photography. I couldn't find an affordable film camera on the market. One roll a week is a very good challenge! Good luck with school
  21. Hi Liser! So, first mini challenge... what about learning/creating how to cook a "trick treat" i mean something that tastes amazing, looks amazing and can be used as a treat, but is based on freggies? This can be done during the weekend, adn we could share pictures and recipies. Thoughts?
  22. This works amazingly for me too!!!
  23. Don't be sorry I got to the accountabilibuddies thread I promise I'll keep my updates as much as I can. Let's get the sugar war begin!
  24. Hi rgbb! I just joined your team with Liser on the minis. I like your challenge, It looks very productive (I think I might steal the idea of the 5 minuts housework) Jum... I know rhar feeling of letting go for a treat... Just enjoy it, but remember to make for it the next time. At the end is all about the long term See you around!
