What a great post! I love the humor of your starting stats and the dedication you had to yourself and your progess. Awesome. -
Serendipity* and the quest to be a bad *ss.

So, this is my first full week of the challenge. I have started a new weight lifting routine and I am excited to be doing it. In a beautiful synchronicity, the first phase of the lifting program is 6 weeks long. I also have a friend from med, who seems to have decided to be an accountablity person. Not in a formal sense, but he just happened to call tonight to say "hi" and, oh, yeah, had I made it to the gym today? Sooo.... that is actually super sweet (or sick?.... I never know what the slang is anymore)... Anyway, I DID make it to the gym tonight, and I plan on making it the gym tomorrow, too. -
This is my first quest with Nerd Fitness, though I have been aware of the community for ages. I started medical school in Australia in January and even though I ride my bike to get pretty much every where, I haven't lost weight the way I had hoped I might. So, I am tossing "hoped I might" out the window and making a plan instead. I want to be the best version of myself and part of that definately involves being healthy physically. I have been been more fit in my life and I would like to move back in that direction. Pick a Main Quest. My first goal is just to lose 10 lbs. Pick 2 - 3 SMART quests : Workout at the gym three times a week (any kind of activity is acceptable). Switch from lattes to a long black dash. Sleep 7 hours a night at least 5 days a week. Choose a motivation. Ultimately, I want to feel strong, have arm muscles and be able to do pullups.Okay ~ I think that is all that needs to be done for now. For health, for me, for the revolution! Thanks for inviting me into this version of the grand adventure we call life.
