  1. Okay, so I'm bad at keeping up with things. Well I did the the whole30 challenge, woot! During that period i lost a huge 15 kg. Which i feel really good about. After that i am even more proud to say i didn't go back to my terrible diet i still eat quite well most of the time. Then, well... Christmas happened. I did not put all that weight back on which is really good. But i did re accumulate about a third of it. so as it stands i am down 10kg. Weighting in at around 135kg. The good news is that Im going to do another whole30. Then without the holiday bad influences I should be able to continue on with a 95% paleo diet. On the training/exercise path: my sister is back from europe and she has been a great source of inspiration and support. We do a monday morning self directed 'boot camp'. involving some basic strength training and yoga followed by a long walk. I've also been going to the beach at least once a week sometimes as many as 3 times, it's really great and i feel so good when i go. Anyway just wanted to document where im up to. Thanks again. Liam

Not that where I live is a great example because there arn't that many LGBT specific clubs and bars but I know most of my partner's friends who are mostly straight prefure them because they are safer, plus they have a great vibe. My partner likes to go to gay bars for the reasons mentioned above and if I go with her (i'm not into going out as she is) it's never really bothered me, personally. I have striaght cis friends who will go with us too and they dont have a problem either, but we're all usually just going to dance and have fun not really to hook up or anything so it might be different if that was your aim? Like i said before though there are probably more straight cis people in most of the gay/queer/LGBT type clubs in Perth anyway so biased sample really

  10. agreed, it is just being pulled apart like some sort of spectacle, I've heard multiple reporters being quite inappropriate considering the horrendous nature of the crime. From simply using incorrect pronouns to outright mocking of the couple, particularly the murder victim. It's just so so sad. BTW, I actually dropped by to introduce myself.   13. Hey well done!   I am so bad at dance I have absolutely no sense of rhythm, but occasionally by girlfriend drags me along and i kind of have fun. It is interesting how we can kind of develop skills to the point where we stop thinking about them consciously.

  15. The First Engagement - Liam vs Poor Eating Habits I know my biggest problem is food. Well, that’s not exactly fair. Okay, my biggest problem is eating. No, still not right. Then… my biggest problem is my eating behavior. Bingo. My attitude towards food is all about pleasure. I have tried diets, I have tried eating a "little bit better", i have tried shakes i have tried so much... So I have made the decision to stop trying and just do it. I am taking the whole30 challenge. I am going to document it here. And I am going to succeed.

  17. Hey guys, Been skulking the boards here for more than a year, finally decided to say hello. so: G'day! Im a 26 year old West Aussie guy who has almost completed his undergrad degree after starting and stopping three or four or maybe five times...wooo! I like to play video games, all sorts, but am completely addicted to Skyrim. I will watch just about any kind of movie, mainly because once I start a story I find it impossible to not find out the ending, so many wasted hours. I like to be outdoors, parks and beaches but i feel uber self conscious going out and using them because I need to lose a fair bit of weight. I've been big all my life, but it's just coming into summer here and I'm really aware of how much I feel like I miss out on because Im so ashamed of what i look like. This is where you guys come in! I have great support at home but my family are very into the whole "food is love" way of thinking. Not helpful when your rocking enough extra lard around to keep the third world going for a decent amount of time. Just kidding. No really... Anyway, looking forward to chatting with people and finding some extra support because this really seems like a great community. So...Thanks for being awesome! Liam
