  1. You are Worthwhile & Deserving of Everything Good! Take Care ...

  2. Thank you for the encouragement, as well as, the opportunity to share some of myself with you, too. The electronic age will be coming to a close for me; however I will continue on this quest & hope to share with you trials/tribulations upon a future time (whenever that may be). So know you are being encouraged from a far; but most importantly is the encouragement you receive from yourself ... You are Worthwhile & Deserving of Everything Good!
  3. Congrats on what you call your "moderate success"! Thanks for that inspiration With regards to the Beginner routine, do what feels like a good start for you; try cutting the #'s in half or maybe in fourths; that way you can continue to reach marks of success that lead you forward to the next one along your journey. Oh & I do think a lot of people lurk, but it's no different than myself in person; where there's so much going on that I just listen & listen till I realize, hmm, was I suppose to say something. When I read about your incorporating dragons, I was wondering what kind/personality & such. Is it a part of your path towards a healthy lifestyle? Good? Bad? Are the kids into playing around? Maybe a family comic book, which depicts you on your quest, i.e. setting a good example while having fun. I don't know; my head completely ran with it & all. I guess my point is to have fun along the way & enjoy friends/family (maybe there's one of the fitness people you know, who may be willing to share their story of "once upon a time" with you), as well; which, of course, includes your fantastic NF comrades (even if they're lurkers, too).
  4. Baby steps & being the best that one can be ... that is truly what each of us should strive to work towards. You are to be highly commended for taking care of yourself & discovering what feels most comfortable as you continue along your journey for a healthy lifestyle. Looking forward to your continued progress & so does the rest of your comrades ... we agree, You can definitely do this!
  5. Greetings to one & all! Just simply wanted to say "hi" & best wishes for all your successes. Proud of You!

  6. Well I have to say, we are both heading out around the same time in the same manner; which means you've discovered your path & are eager to put your plan into action ... no fault to be found there; I'd say you're a success already. How fantastic that you realized you needed & wanted the assistance of others and then sought out that which you require to continue your journey. It makes me feel good to know that I wasn't the only one ready to head out & implement the directives which have set for my success, as well. Take courage in the thought, you're not alone (I'm heading on my journey, too, in just a few hours) & so many are with you along this path of good health; just sometimes we may be focused & forget to talk/encourage the person next to us ... which is something I'm sure that happens to us all. We're all in this together; so head forth with this bright knowledge of camaraderie!
  7. Sounds like an excellent plan, as well as, looking out for yourself through something you've always wanted to do ... Congrats re: your numerous successes! Oh & may I say, I just simply love your quote ... a fantastic "shove" in the right direction just by the mere fact of reading & comprehending its worth.
  8. Congrats! Agreed, Yay you for starting your fitness, and also for picking back up your healthy journey quest. A good example of re-dedication & I'm sure your comrades are eager to take their place along side you to support and help quell any danger that may lurk along your path.
  9. Greetings & Wow 6' tall ... fantastic! Regarding motivation, I'd say, celebrate your successes however minor they may be; after all for myself, whether it's one snack, one more minute, an extra rep or even a deserved nap ... I know I'm doing well for me & that's what matters most I'm sure you'll find lots of people who'll celebrate your success with you & help recover from slight mishaps; that's what a journey is about when you're in it together. I/We celebrate your success thus far & look forward to your updates along your path set before you.
  10. Wow, what a success! Just adding one more is what keeps us motivated, huh. Luckily, with some things, just one more can be a positive; and that is something to keep in mind while on vacation. Taking a break can put a clarity in us; so then when you get back ... I bet you'll be able to do 1 more. When I read about your vacation, it made me think of Dorothy & friends running through the fields. Enjoying the field wasn't so much the problem, but the slowing becoming overwhelmed & losing vigilance along the journey (something like that). So have a nice time, but know the journey continues no matter where you are on the path. Oh & there's lots of fun exercises parents can do with their kids! Enjoy you time together
  11. Greetings! Thought I'd say "hi" & wish you well as you follow a plan towards a Healthy Lifestyle. The key, I'd say, is to do away with "all or nothing" thinking; which is something I continually work on in all aspects of my life. I believe you'll receive some excellent support/advice along your journey here at NF. Congrats to you as you head along your personal journey with new friendships you'll develop along the way.
  12. Highly commendable & congrats on your numerous successes! You're on the right path ... continue forth on the journey set before you.
  13. Thank you for the welcome and invite to the challenge forum, Pavel. I look forward to making weekly updates re: my trials & tribulations. I figure to strive towards a 5% bf reduction, which will get me around 32% overall; then will look at the numbers to see how the muscle/fat ratio's working for me ... and, most importantly, how I feel mind, body, spirit with the results at that time. Oh & congrats on your upcoming wedding! Blessings to you both now & as you head into your future day-by-day together
  14. I appreciate re: Challenge F.A.Q where Spezzy states, "This is your challenge ... use a format that works for you." A couple days ago I signed up and was daunted by all the information on setting/signing up, follow through & so forth. The sharing of the community to be there for one another has been very overwhelming to read, and yet I am so pleased to know so many are reaching out to one another to assist in their path/goals to be achieved whether mind, body, spirit. For myself, I will be setting off on my journey in the middle of a challenge coming to an end & the beginning of a challenge in the future. My goal in doing so is not unlike any group heading out together. There are those who set out first, followed by groups helping one another along; in the midst of the groups, there are those making sure the path is still a success along the way. This is where I will find myself in showing that everything is all clear & accomplishable ahead; I am pleased to have finally discovered my format/path. My main goal over the next 6 weeks is to be more firm & less marshmallow-y as evidenced by the bf%; which isn't distressing, but more motivating/encouraging, because I know it's something easily accomplishable for myself. When people see me, they don't below that I'm almost 40% bf ... I don't look it, I'm told with my shapeliness; however I definitely want to keep my feminine physique at 5'8" with a personality that jettisons from pixie to troll (hmm, saying too much). So what will I do to set these events in motion? Interval training is for me! Monday & Tuesday: Strength/Cardio (1 hour total); Wednesday: Yoga (1 hour) Thursday & Friday: Strength/Cardio (1 hour total); Saturday: Yoga (1 hour) Sunday: Day of Rest/Recoup With regards to eating, my food choices/portions are fine ... I have always enjoyed fruits/vegetables since I was a baby, and (surprise) always shunned meat; it's just my natural disposition. My main issue is saying no throughout the week to sweets. The fix for this will be to just save the item of choice till Sunday to be enjoyed; and, of course, to choose only one item. Thank you for this opportunity; not only for myself, but for ourselves as a whole ... We are United!!
  15. A subtle peek from my vantage point gives me a glimpse of what this scenario holds for me.
