  1. Aww hi everyone!!! Sorry that updates have fallen by the wayside. Doing well with my challenge... may have to do a restart the next time around!! <3
  2. Aww thank you all so much for your support. It's been a weird week, that's for sure. Thanks so much Drich! I really appreciate your kind words. Strategy is going well so far! Thanks friend. Oh man I missed you guys too!! That would have been epicccccccc Metaphysical fitness- RIGHT?! Thank you so so so much. And thanks for the magical photo of Gabriel. Love!! Thanks Eve!! I definitely hope you'll be there next time!! Rest days are there- the Metaphysical Fitness stuff is not super hardcore a lot of the time-- some of the videos are only 5 minutes OMG it was so cold. SO COLD. Thank you.
  3. WAIT SHUT UP YOU JOINED THE DRUIDS?!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!
  4. Week 1 Update: WHELP this week became entirely unexpected. Found out on Wednesday that my grandfather passed away, so an unexpected trip to Minnesota has happened (and is where I am now). Felt a bit derailed and less committed to this than I would have liked... so may do a bit of a reset for week 2. Movement: Well my 4 yoga classes has been 2 this week. Going to try and get one in in the morning before heading up to northern MN for all the funeral stuff. MPF stuff- good! Getting the daily ones in. mmm C+/B- so far. Nutrition: Umm food haven't been doing as great as I would have liked. I'm probably at about 70% for the week. Normally when I'm home I take particular care to get everything I need from the store so I can eat how I want to eat... hasn't been happening nearly as well as usual because I'm wanting to be accommodating to my family. Still an excuse, and I'm ok with it for now. Things are changing when I get back to Denver for sure. C Meditation/ Visualization: 6 for 6. This one isn't as much of a challenge for me, but I'm happy to be tracking it! A Life Quest~ Client Attraction: None so far! I've signed on 2 web design clients, but that wasn't the challenge F *** Okay!! Fascinating. Strategy for this week-- I planned all my yoga classes in for the week (5) Food- I gotta go to the store when I get back to Denver Tuesday night-- even though it's going to be late. Between now and then, going to be diligent about sweets and dairy and bread, even though it's fricken everywhere right now! Clients-- I have a bunch of follow up calls to make! <3

  7. Well it's been awhile since I've been around these parts!! Teaching at Camp Nerd Fitness and feeling another transition in my life coming along, I'm super looking forward to this challenge! Keeping it super simple for now- will fill out details throughout this week! Mind-Body Alchemy Deep alignment of my mind, body, and spirit. This whole year has been a freaking massive uplevel. So many things confronted, experienced, let go of, assimilated... And I'll be honest, I've had a lot of shifts and changes happen since I was a full time yoga and fitness instructor- particularly in my body and my strength levels. It's been a year of nurturing, nourishment, femininity, and magic- and I'm ready to tap back into my high priestess, warrior-druid spirit! Being a Warrior Goddess Movement: Daily movement practices- particularly with Yoga and Metaphysical Fitness (http://metaphysicalfitness.net). I will attend 4 yoga classes per week, and do my MP Fitness workouts daily. There's a chance I'm headed to LA in December, so the yoga classes at that time may be ones from YogaDownload.com! 8. You get it Spider! Totally understand the need for breaks- you are still a Druid, through and through!
  9. Hey druids new and old! Happy to be finishing out the year with you all!
  10. Well, this has been a crazy year. So much in and out. It's been awhile since I've been around these parts... Late August I almost sliced my finger off and had hand surgery. I wasn't able to even down dog, let alone do handstands for a month. Before really recovering I hopped a plane to Costa Rica for a few weeks for an event and an adventure of a lifetime.... and then less than a week after coming back, I finished selling all my belongings and moved across the country. That didn't work out, so I moved across the country again. Spent a lot of time hiding from the world/ totally re-evaluating my life, slipping into some bad habits, and generally questioning everything. Unexpected, but kinda necessary. Now I'm here! This challenge begins with me in Boston, and will involve NYC, Santiago, Chile (& other areas of Chile, I'm guessing), back to NYC, then to Minneapolis. I have no idea where my life is going after that. I kind of went into a dark place. Nowhere near as bad as I used to, but it was kind of scary to be back in that space. This challenge is all about maintaining a sense of home, peace, and space amidst picking myself back up and traveling. My Main Quest: Be Love. This means loving myself first and foremost, so that I can be Love for other people. Self-care is the ultimate form of love. My goals are designed to facilitate joy, space, peace, and presence. I am going easier on myself than usual with grading, because I don't want to feel pressured or like a failure. I want to end 2013 with a sense of ease and well-being. Play for 30 minutes every day. This can look like so many things. Handstands, climbing, laughing, imagining, finger painting... every day I will set aside 'play time' and ask myself, "What sounds like the most fun thing to do right now?" and I will then do that thing. Playing feels like home. A= 35+ Days, B= 30-34 Days, C= 25-29 Days, D= 20-24 Days, F= 19 or less Days. Love my food as fuel and nourishment (85/15 Clean). I tend to get derailed with eating when I travel or go to foreign countries. But since travel and being new places is really now my way of living and not just vacations, it is important for me to keep my nutrition super solid. And when I'm somewhere where that is a little more difficult? I will be consciously grateful for the food I DO have. Whenever I can, I will eat no wheat, no dairy, no sugar, and limited caffeine/ alcohol. My goal with this is 85/15 (yes even with travel!) I'll keep track of what I eat so I know. A= 85% or higher, B= 77% or higher, C= 69% or higher, D= 61% or higher, F= 60% or below. Daily breathing, meditation, & check ins. Every morning- breathing exercises and meditation. I'm not putting a time limit on this, though it generally ends up being 20-30 minutes. As soon as I strive for that though, I fail. Funny how that works. Also, hourly check ins- what's my energy level? how am I feeling? what am I working on? what would be the best thing for me to do right now? I set an alarm in my phone to go off every hour as a reminder to take some deep breaths and check in. A= 35+ Days, B= 30-34 Days, C= 25-29 Days, D= 20-24 Days, F= 19 or less Days. Engage with amazing & inspiring people on a daily basis. This is kind of my 'side quest' - I've realized during my period of isolation/darkness that what makes me feel alive and connected and excited is to connect with people who inspire me. Luckily I've made it a point to surround myself with people like this- and now I am making a concentrated effort to connect with people every single day. Whether it's on Skype, face to face, gchat- that matters less than actually connecting. I'll consider this goal met if I have at least 30 minutes worth of conversation/interaction with one or more awesome individuals! A= 35+ Days, B= 30-34 Days, C= 25-29 Days, D= 20-24 Days, F= 19 or less Days. Happy to be back. Love this place.
