  1. Do me a favor, all: If I continue to lose weight, and especially if I manage to lose it and keep it off, don't let me be one of those assholes who makes snide and hurtful comments about fat people. Because that really sucks, even (or maybe especially if) they aren't aimed directly at you.

  2. Hahhh, doing my first day of stairs while at work, wearing my new boots that my knees and feet aren't used to yet, may not have been the best idea on my part. It's ok, knees, a hot bath will fix you right up!

  3. I think I need to have a nice fire pit evening this weekend, smelled fireplace smoke this evening and just sat there breathing it in, heh.

  6. Question for low-carbers/gluten free: do you have any surefire tricks to make a almond/coconut flour mix taste more savory rather than sweetish? I made a pot pie last night, and it was good, but there was a sweet tone to the crust taste that was unsettling...

      Sub one or the other for arrowroot starch. It's a fine flour, but it works to off-set some of that sweet undertones.

      add some salt? Almond and coconut are a bit naturally sweet.

  9. Sometimes I get really annoyed with trying to plan out meals to fit my diet, and I remember how much easier it was to just eat whatever. But then I remember how miserable I was, and get back to it :)

      Well yeah... we don't really remember how misarable we can feel until we feel that way. It's like being ill, you don't know how bad it is till u are, and then u quickly forget about it once healty again

  10. Playing with nutrition, trying to get more potassium. Things I've learned: holy hell I need to stop negelcting my leafy greens!

      have you tried sauteeing them? A good way to get a boatload of greens in is to sautee in a bit of oil.

  11. My legs are killing after yoga last night. I think maybe I finally got the poses right so that they are stretching what they are supposed to, maybe?

  13. FRIDAY FRIDAY GOTTA GET DOWN ON FRIDAY! :D Can't wait till weigh in on Sunday. It's kind of an odd feeling to be excited for weigh-ins now, but I'll take it!

  15. I've been using Habitica to get myself to wash my face each night, and it's amazing how soft my facial skin is now after just two weeks :D

  16. I think the number one thing that has helped my knee pain so far is forcing myself to take the stairs. They feel so much more stable now, in addition to not being achy and sore as frequently.

      I make mine with coconut oil, no butter and I add some chocolate protein powder to it. Blend the hell out of it and it gets this yummy froth. :D

  20. Man, if you haven't ever accidentally sent yourself into antidepressant withdralw, I don't recommend it. Whoops. Brain zaps are weird, and vertigo is so annoying...

      I had to deal with that over christmas, when i realized too late I didnt have enough to get me through (and no one told me the dr's were out for 2 weeks)
