  1. So, I didn't do the plants tonight I haven't found the time to sort through all my seeds and pick out what I actually want to start, and I've been just exhausted lately. And forgetful... so hopefully I can at least get to some of that tonight.
  2. Mmmm, I need to make up a big batch of pesto... maybe this weekend.
  3. Quick update: Got my weight bench put together! Took longer than anticipated, though, so I may not get seeds planted tonight, have to head out to a party shortly.I'll be sure to prioritize that tomorrow after work.
  4. Yay, you're back! <3 I think concentrating on a routine that works for you is a good call. It's easier to make changes, imo, once you know more or less what will happen every day. For grocery shopping, it takes an extra few minutes of prep, but I find it super helpful to get my meals mostly set for the week, make out a list, check out ads beforehand for any good sales for additions, and then stick to your list once you're in the store. It helps me cut down on impulse buys. Good luck!
  5. These would be a fun way to get in more leafy greens, just roll up some lettuce and spinach with the meat and cheese
  6. I haven't done much of the wii fit stuff, I be I have a serious urge to find an old copy of Dance Dance Revolution
  7. I think I killed my tris doing dips yesterday, just keeping my body still during knee raises made them hurt again :(

Heh, I'll be ok. My quads hurt more than my tris today, so my tris feel better! :P

  8. Cheesy chicken pepper no-pasta Ingredients: About 1.5 lbs chicken (breast or boneless skinless thighs, your pick) 2T olive oil 2 large bell peppers 1 small or 1/2 large white onion 6 cloves of garlic (be warned, I am a garlic fiend :D ) Salt and pepper to taste (Optional) Crushed red pepper to taste (Optional) Sriracha to taste (Optional) Alfredo sauce Heat your olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Slice your chicken into more or less bite sized chunks (I like for my chicken to be softly frozen when cutting, thawed in the fridge for a while before use). Salt and pepper the chicken to your taste and cook it in the pan until no pink is visible. While the chicken is cooking, chop your cloves of garlic. As mentioned, I like garlic, so I use a lot and it's a pretty rough mince as I don't mind chunks. Add garlic to the pan, and crushed red pepper if using, and stir a bit. Chop your onion - I like half-rings, but chunks are also fine. I add this and let it cook a while, as onion that isn't cooked thoroughly gives me heartburn from hell, but if you like your onion a bit more crisp feel free to not wait as long. Slice your bell peppers (again, I like half-rings. I don't do pasta, but I kind of like to simulate eating pasta with lots of long slices of veggies). Once veggies have hit level of desired cook, remove from heat and add either sriracha or Alfredo sauce (Sriracha is delicious, but I do keto instead of paleo so the more cheesy goodness I can get in my food the better ). I had it with Alfredo tonight, and it really hit my pasta craving I was suffering tonight just right. Delicious for the garlic and/or cheese addicts. Since I'm both, it worked out really well
  9. Well, I did my yoga tonight! I also started some of my bodyweight stuff, but only had time for pullups, pushups, and dips. (which I realized after I was through the dips that they weren't on the schedule for today, alas!) Anyway, pushs I did the 3rd progression (box pushups) 5 sets of 6. But, I think I may continue with them 1 or 2 more times just to make certain I'm getting elbows in enough and whatnot. Pullups, I need a better setup for inverted rows - I tried them off the edge of my dining room table, but it was both too slippery and there was some stuff in the way underneath. But, I have a inch width length of dowel I'll try to set up between some chairs for next time. I did the 2nd progression (inverted rows with bent legs), sets were 6,6,4,4,3. Dips.Oh dips. My upper chest/pec muscles are soooo weak. My tris aren't great either, but it was my pecs giving out first by a ton. I tried the 2nd progression (straight leg bench dips) and my sets were 5,4,3,2,2. Lots of work to do!

A writer! I've got some writerly aspirations, but I have a hard time actually doing any of it Good luck!
  11. I try to stay away from all pop, and am usually successful, but geez, Coke Zero, you are my savior today

  12. I am just dragging today. I was sick yesterday and slept most of the day, and I still feel like I could have done the same thing today :/ I usually try to just stick to a glass of coffee in the AM, but hot drinks sounded icky for whatever reason, but I direly need some caffeine. So, Coke Zero it is. I have a late day today (basketball game to go to after work!) so I'm just hoping I have enough energy when I get home to do a quick yoga session before collapsing in bed.
  13. I love fresh made broth. It's extra good to use for cooking rice or pasta, makes it so much tastier! Or, hemp seeds and quinoa, etc. I like slow roasted butternut squash or pumpkin, like, an hour and a half in the oven, yummm.
  14. I'm sorry, that really sucks
  15. I'll help you out when I have recipes that don't use dairy! Unfortunately, I picked keto specifically cause it was a diet that let me do dairy, so might not be able to do that as often as I hope One of my favorite things to do is buy kelp noodles off of amazon and use them in soups or the like. They aren't like regular noodles, kind of crunchy, but I like them way better than shirataki noodles, personally. I don't know if you are able to tolerate them, but I live by zero call sweeteners like Swerve or pure Erythritol when I really need something sweet. My favorite site for recipes is ruled.me. But, he leans heavily on dairy. I found this list of blogs maybe where you could start? My biggest thing was deciding what carbs I really enjoy, like fresh baked bread or a good beer once in a while, and sticking to it well the rest of the time so I can enjoy the carbs I really am fond of, and not just used to eating because they are easy. Here's my thread!
  16. Oh, fun! Might not get a ton done the first couple weeks, but after that I should have plenty of time!
  17. It's possible your body is fighting off a bug of some kind. Listen to your body, if it wants more sleep, give it to it! I tend to do that on weekends, where I'll get myself out of bed at a somewhat respectable time, and then after I'm up for a couple hours if my body still wants more sleep I'll take a nap. I have to get myself up for a few hours to make sure it's actually my body wanting sleep and not me just not wanted to get out of my warm blanket cocoon, heh.
  18. Hey, you did pretty damn good, I think! Learning a new way to do food is hard work!
  19. Ohh, this looks fun! Totally in! I'm going to use the nutrition quest to help me cut back on beer/alcohol. That'll be my first unallowed item this time around!
