  1. I'm Dara and I'm done lurking on these forums and ready to get in the game. Mostly because a friend just started working for NF and convinced me to do the challenge with his family. But also because, challenges. I'm a big guy that's yo-yo'd over the last several years. Cut 20-30 pounds, gain it back, feel bad about it, do it again, and so on. Typically, this roller coaster ride of annoyance is driven by doing one thing right (and conversely, undoing that thing). I eat better or I exercise every day. Naturally, the weight comes off, I feel like I've done good work, and I begin to slowly end my good habits. MAIN QUEST: I want to be a better ultimate player. Simply put, I think cutting 10 pounds will help improve my endurance over the course of a game and will definitely lead to looking way flyer in my ultimate swag. I moved to Las Vegas over a year ago. In that time, ultimate frisbee has become my social life, my main distraction, and my primary form of exercise. I captain the local B team which was formed earlier this year and is made up of mostly newer players. I've learned a lot about the game, but a big part of being a better leader is to play better, harder, and longer on every point. We play 2-3 times a week but that's not enough to get into better shape alone. Oh, and if ya' don't know, now ya' know: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Orcjg2GG3jQ GOAL 1: One Bodyweight Circuit/week I started doing Steve's beginner bodyweight circuits this fall but quickly fell off. I'm back on it for the next six weeks. GOAL 2: One Short Sprint Workout/week The plan here is to do something manageable. After ultimate on Saturdays, I'm going to stay behind and run at least one full-field suicide, hopefully two. That's a sprint from end to quarter-field, back, sprint to half-field, back, sprint to 3/4 field and back, and sprint to the other end and back. GOAL 3: Keto is Neat...Neat-o. Sorry. I've been dabbling with some paleo eating since this summer. I've convinced my body that zoodles and cauli-rice are pretty good. My goal is to consistently eat a keto-focused diet five days a week. Specifically, that means: - Eat <100g of carbs per day, aiming for <50g - Be smart when eating out, focus on veggies, fats, and protein - Cut more sugar out - Track eating on myfitnesspal Side Quests: 1. Go for a walk at least once a week. 2. Work on an ultimate frisbee-related little side business idea I've been exploring for the last month. 3. Get eight hours of sleep. I average 6-7 which ain't bad, but it could be better. 4. Schedule one weekend of disc golf with the team (we are long overdue).
