  1. We pretty much had the Nerf swords and socks for range. We tried to get a real game going through the website but not enough people signed up. Afterwards, the people managing it gave up. I can't blame them. We had a few small games over the semester and that was fun. Yeah, having a game on campus is definitely fun. Using swords were interesting, zombies either chased one guy from different angels or become zombie assassins by waiting for their target to get close and surprising them. Nice to see you as well HvZ vet! Challange so far is going well. I guess the hardest part is sleeping 8 hours. So much stuff to do with school and if not school, procrastination. It's not the best thing for me to be doing but I try to sleep as much. I can feel that my stamina is getting higher. So I'll keep doing the same thing.
  2. ...I don't know how to directly make a reply to someone who's actually posted to my topic, so I'll try to figure that out by searching through forums and FAQ. @ Blaidd I understand that courage is pretty much what it takes for any great change but at the same time in my case, I'm just trying to ask when she's not busy when people aren't around. I've only asked once so far but it gets hard to find the right time to ask. I don't if asking "Can I take you out on a date?" without any previous sense of a time of when would work. But that's just how I feel based on my situation. Maybe just hanging around within club is best for now. I'll do what I can. Also, I'm glad that you're doing well and hope that your future goes well. I'm look for the tags... I don't understand forums all that well yet. I actually want my guild to be Warrior though I'd probably be best in scouts. I'll figure this all out eventually especially with help from others. I'd be grateful for any help with understanding this or where to directly look. @ Solstice Tiger Thanks for the encouragement. Yeah, I have played Humans vs Zombies. My college does not allow Nerf guns on campus though this is on campus. I enjoy the game itself but it's much harder to play without Nerf guns. At the time when I did, we used Nerf swords and socks. So, it's also what I associate Nerf with so I understand that question. Not odd at all.
  3. SMART Mini Quest Is your overall quest achievable (over a short or long period of time)? Is it reasonable? I should be able to complete my quest by the end of the challenge. Considering that I should be able to make progression every day, I believe this quest is reasonable. Do your 3 quests all build towards your main quest in little ways, or are you taking on too much? Do your quests have sub-quests or is it just one thing to focus on? All three of my quests do build to improve myself daily. I don't consider exercising every day to be something that is hard so I think I'm good. My quests are just one thing to focus on. Are your main goals realistic? Can you scale them to smaller steps to fit your life better, even if it will make it take a little longer to achieve them? This first main goal is realistic. Work every day, get better over time. I consider this goal a lowered version of what I actually want to accomplish far off so this is a first step just for me to see. Are your goals able to be measured and tracked? What will you use to track them? Yes and how I feel through running and exercise each day. How are you grading your goals? Are they pass/fail (“every dayâ€, “not even once over the six weeksâ€)? Is there a reward for the effort, or are you only grading yourself on whether or not you “lose the weight†or “run the distanceâ€? I'm grading myself at the end when I do a 5k and feel the progress. I just try to complete the goals each day. If I can't, specifically sleeping, I don't let it get to me. I'll just try tomorrow. No reward, just to improve myself. What is your plan for continuing/altering/grading those goals if you become ill or injured? ...Still do them no matter what hardship. Only way I wouldn't do these goals were if I couldn't move. Two of three goals I "should" do everyday for healthier living. Did you take into consideration any special occasions (Labour Day, Independence Day, birthdays, anniversaries, etc) that may occur during the challenge? What modifications do you need to build into your goals for those? Yep. Do goals anyway. When I go home, I'll run around the neighborhood or another school nearby. I'm not worried. Do any of your main goals conflict with each other? Will one goal make it hard to do another? Not really. Well, running and sleeping may conflict with each other if my day is busy but... Do you already have the time in your schedule to actually complete the goals you’ve set? If not, what are you planning to do to make time for them? More or less. Sleep takes 8 hours. Sleep early. Drinking water takes no time, so anytime. Running takes around an hour so... just take some time anytime to do it. To set a direct time for sleeping and running would be hard so considering college so whenever I can. Are you trying to build multiple habits, or is all your energy focused on your main quest? I am trying to build multiple habits based on the five states to a person I said before. This takes the most time as I have a stronger focus on physical right now but I should be able to build improve all states slowly.
  4. I'm not used to forum posting so for the time being I'm just going to be concise. Main QuestTo run a 5k without stopping(To be able to run forever like most characters in games) Small GoalsTo run daily (around my college)To sleep 8 hours daily (this will be hard to do)To drink 5 glasses of water dailyLife QuestConvey feelings to girl and ask said girl out (Mission complete even if feelings are not mutual)Diet/Fitness Side QuestCut out all foods with high levels of sodiumMini QuestsWeek 1 - SMART ( Will make a secondary post later about this) Motivation I want to be a guardian. What I mean by that is, I want to be able to protect what is directly important to me. My life, people important to me, etc. I figure though I hold the desire to protect and defend strongly, ideals aren't enough. I need to use this drive to create action to improve myself so that if and when a situation comes down to it, I'll be more able to help myself and others through physical capability. With time, I hope that I can improve greatly myself what I believe to be the five states to a person. Those to me are Physical, Mental, Social, Spiritual, and Financial. Extra Goal - Pay Subscription Fee (If I'm not supposed to be here because I haven't, that's fine.) Nice to be here and nice to meet you all.
