  9. agility feat time? agility feat time. this week? get my yoga on and just plain stretch. yoga at least two days, stretch at least three. i should be doing this anyway. ready? go.
  10. days 18-19 had a long ass meeting 45 minutes away, so i spent an inordinate amount of time in the car. however, it did give me the opportunity to knock out two Romanian lessons in the car. it's progressing well, but the conversations are disjointed, and the "instructor" takes way too much time repeating uncomplicated shit, like the syllable "uh" for i swear two minutes. which means it's therapy too, because then i yell at him. did bodyweight stuff last night, worked in 30+ minutes on the heavy bag and my knuckles are all bruised so i feel like a badass. speaking of, i got back up to my old deadlift PR at the gym today. woo 320! still guzzling water like a champ, calorie counting mostly good. you ever forget what you ate? yeah, me neither. aaand finishing up my ranger mini-challenge currently. is that it? yeah that's it. i think. now, due to the impending snowpocalypse which will not affect around here in anyway - i will nonetheless hit the kitchen and cook up a storm. on the prep-list: cauliflower...risoto(?), white bean hummus, and eventually dinner - we shall see what that turns out to be.
  11. ranger feat: doneskis. putting the finishing touches on article number 2 now, and got both lessons done. sidenote - got back up to my old deadlift pr today at the gym. not that it's terribly impressive, but i definitely felt like this. may or may not have roared a bit.
  12. heads up. i suck at updating, so... fear not citizens! i have not been kidnapped by raiders, or stuffed into a sack by supermutants, or replaced by a synth. i may or may not have had a deathclaw encounter days 8-13 it was cold. i survived morning workouts, and nailed my mini-quest: gym 2 days, home workout 2 days. got a new heavy bag, so i'm working in rounds on that in addition to bodyweight stuff at home. i don't know if it's doing anything but it's hella fun. water consumption suffered a bit, but i still managed to barely keep up. got about 64oz daily, except for weekends. food tracking still on point, but i'm always hungry. yay. days 14-17 had a retreat this weekend, which means i was on damage control most of the time still managed to keep diet and water in check, and went to a trampoline park. super fun, and the ninja warrior obstacle course kicked my ass. woo! did absolutely nothing during the holiday, but the recovery was very much needed. by the way, Dying Light is totally worth playing if you haven't. just don't stay out at night (until you're way more than a low level peon)! didn't get up yesterday for the gym, because it was 15. no thank you. did do BW workout at home, including 24" box jumps and heavy bag stuff. woo! hit the gym early this morning, started back on allergy shots (yay!), and got the call that the office was closed due to a "winter storm warning". so now i'm feeling accomplished, and writing at home while it's 34 and raining. good game, winter storm! in hindsight, this post wasn't that long. i do love the excuse to use that pic though.
  13. strength feat done, i was out of town so i didn't get a chance to post. as a bonus i went to a trampoline park and wore myself out on the ninja warrior obstacle courses. ranger feat: knock out two writing projects for work, complete 2 begginer's Romanian lessons.
  14. that sucks about the seizure(?). i have a friend who's been dealing with tonic/grand seizures for a couple of years. she's gotten pretty in-tune with the warning signs and will grab someone as a heads up. interestingly enough her docs can't figure it out either. she's figured out that keeping on top of nutrition, staying well hydrated and avoiding caffeine keep them to a minimum in occurrence and severity, though (yay!). otherwise way to be! i totally slacked off this week with updating too. ah well. keep rockin.
  15. YUHHH! meanwhile i can't do regular crow pose without falling on my face.
  16. stamina update: didn't get to run saturday, ended up hauling 50lb boxes of flooring for 2hrs.... 3/4 credit? keep on stamina-ing. strength feat: gym - 2 days, mornings. ugh. home - got my heavy bag hung up this weekend, to i'm going to mix it in with bw stuff. bring on the orcs. and trolls, goblins, etc.
  17. nice first week! way to adjust on the fly as well. good sign of forward progress!
  18. week 1 recap: did not end up running saturday, but i did move 50lb cases of flooring for 2hrs. i'm counting that as a wash. solid workout, but no actual running. ah well. otherwise.. thanks! couldn't agree more. bonus: i read some and cleaned the everloving hell out of my house this weekend. woo! week 2. let's do this.
  19. days 3-5 - got up and hit the gym. again. some one decided that since it's cold outside they should overcompensate by cranking the heat up to 90. ugh. i almost passed out. took a recovery day yesterday, because i'm old and tired. but it was also my friday. so yay! today i did some cleaning, then ran. trying to keep up with my mini challenge and run 10mi. almost there. sorry for that. thus far i'm chugging water like... something that drinks a lot of water. food tracking is rocking. (although i went over on calories last night. glorious liquid calories) not loving the getting up early, but i'm enjoying forcing myself to shut it down at 11:15. knocked out both gym days this week. already got 2 run days, adding another tomorrow to finish out my 10mi. i've stretched, but hoping to add yoga tonight/tomorrow.
  20. Stamina feat: run 10 miles... 5 down, 5 to go. halfway there!
  21. hooray for random plank! not technically plank, but deadpool.
  22. update: day 2, no one suspects a thing... wait, wait... no day 2: i hate mornings, but i did it. i got up. 26 degrees and i got out of bed. i know that may not be cold for some of you, but i am a tropical people. anyway, i got up early and went to the gym this morning. and i avoided the resolutioners. deadlift, squats, and running! water: on point. food: tracked (oh, and keeping calories below 2500) booze: <twitch> none. veedya games: <twitch twitch> none. tomorrow? rinse, repeat. how will i be feeling in the morning? WOO!
  23. hooray! another wastelander! challenge looks great!
